@@aryavirsangwan6837 you should follow my rap channel. I've been saying Live.Love.ASAP is fantastic since it pretty much came out. Within a year of it coming out, I knew it was special. Because I can tell. I've been listening to rap for 2 plus decades.
I only listened to it late last year I think it was, when it was 10 year old and I was blown away by how damn good it was, as I'd never thought too highly of Rocky, and don't like his other projects a great deal, they are growing on me tho
because it's brilliant. I told people this years ago, but Live.Love.ASAP is the strongest project from the new hip hop generation and it's not even close. The fake praise for Kendrick Lamar is hilarious because it's so off. None of Kendrick's music has replay value like that.
tochiRTA Its for different reasons imo. Livelove was a great album because the feel of the album was immersive as hell. Every track had that airy druggy vibe to it. It was intoxicating to listen to. but it had no real lyrical narrative or concept. It delivered a vibe. its good music to binge on, its a pretty smooth and easy listen. Kendricks albums are praised for being conceptual masterpieces. But theyre more challenging listens. Its not there to just be a vibe. Its deliberately telling a story. So while the sonics on GKMC may not be as consistent. Its the album concept that brings it all together to make the project cohesive. Though TPAB did have cohesive sonics and a well thought out concept to go along with it, so thats a +1 for Kendrick.
Kendrick is a shitty storyteller. He's just a marketing toy. This is music at the end of the day. What matters is the music. Not the 'concepts' or whatever excuses people invent.
Anthony, this is regarding New York City rap. How come you've never reviewed Action Bronson's "Dr. Lecter"? Not only is his flow insane, but there's no other rapper with SO MANY FOOD REFERENCES. Check him out.

Kissin pink is the gem of this album bruh wtf
Agreed Ferg sounds fucking crazy.
you are a great man anthony, you make fair reviews, even of artists that don't deserve it. Your editing and humor are great facets to your vids! You da man
10 years later still a classic!
WOW! yo son..you hit the nail on the head with this review..this mixtapes is better than most albums that have come out lately and the song "Get Lit" puts me at a high like no other..props to you on this review!
Listened to it a bunch when it came out,. Happy that it got released on Spotify !
props to you, you know what you're talking about musically man. good review. You never put a biased review out
My first time listening to this was my best "experience" with music ever
kissin pink is my favorite song on the album, but i respect your opinion because you actually are good at explaining and giving reason.
Oh my god, I love the Mogwai shirt mad respect.
I just listen to rerelease of this album on spotify and the next day youtube recommended me this review. Wtf, youtube, stop spying. I didn't even google this album.
Lil B influenced this mixtape, just accept it and make a Classic Review of 6 kiss
If you get a chance, Roc Marciano- Greneberg, Asher Roth- Pabst and Jazz. Some older material, Ras Kass- Soul on Ice, Clipse- Hell Hath No Fury, Pacewon and Mr Green- Only Color That Matters is Green, Cunninlynguists- Dirty Acres.
palace and bass are still bops til this date
Straight up such a clean review Anthony. Ya nailed it.
definitely the best mixtape I've ever heard, and I've been into hip hop for a long time in comparison to most rap fans.
@Naxwell well, it's not in the dictionary, is it?
Just now finding out that Kissin Pink is his least favourite track 😔
@Tyntje606 um, i'm not really sure any of those dude's would collab with me. i think TND is too small.
