    The middle section is actually the theme of Rubinstein's "Melody in F" Op. 3 no.1 composed in 1858 - Fair enough, he's called it "Rubinstein", but Bidgood, does imply (by omission), that he is the sole composer. As Rubinstein's original was still in copyright until 1994, that may explain why Bidgood's march was not played very often.
    I remember having to learn this as a trombone solo when I was still at school - I later discovered that another trombonist had beaten me to it...

    WoW Such a Great Tune, one of the best. Do you know why the UK Military bands no longer play it ? Also I cant find any score online for this, what a shame.
