#FINALE #SpyFoxInDryCereal #ep3 - Игры
I love how, in the first episode, they thought Spyfox’s wisecracks were funny or endearing. Then in the second one, they started mocking it. And by the third, Arin is angrily yelling at Spyfox whenever he says anything.
I feel like you just summed up all of modern media consumption.
Their joking during episode 1 cost them attention, patience, and time by episode 3
Spy Fox in Dry Cereal is the 242nd game the Grumps have beaten, and the 6th by Humongous Games! Congrats on saving the world from a milky, stinky end!
Does that count include the game of Minesweeper they beat while playing KinitoPet?
@@isaiahlem indeed it does!
@@Insaneian Thank you for your service 🙏🏻
Love you
bless you
“Use the book on Hong Kong Doodle” should be up there with “The Carbuncle ate itself”
Tha bananas has gone bad
Today is football!
"I'M A TORNADO!"
who's walton goggins
Reminds me of Wang Dang Doodle, a character from a comic I found at the dollar store.
Also the "Bull Clinton" joke at the end that went over their heads is amazing
OHH :O
Arin was right, Spy Fox is aimed at kids aged 6-9 (compared to Putt Putt which is for kids 3-6)
Yeah, the age order of the games are: Putt Putt ages 3-6, Freddi Fish ages 4-7, Pajama Sam ages 5-8 and Spy Fox ages 6-9.
These games were big in Europe as well and for a long time. Like I played these, the Dutch versions, from the age of 7, which was in 2006
So they are the key demographic
I feel like even at 9 I'd be too dumb to figure this game out lmao.
@@princessaurtrust me, I was. still never finished pajama sam’s thunder and lightning aren’t so frightening
Yeah I played it as a kid, it came on CD in cereal boxes (yes that was a thing) and I don't think I ever finished it. I got repeatedly stuck.
Mission complete: NOW ONTO THE NEXT MISSION! SPY FOX IN SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. Let’s go Grumps 😊
THAT was the one i was trying to remember the title of!
LFG!
@@leah___6627 "LETS FUCKING GOOOOLLLF!"
Best in the trilogy
The best one!
I never knew how cathartic it'd feel to hear Arin yell in the background "Shut the **** up Spyfox!!"
Read this comment just as he screamed it. Wonderful.
He said what Monkey Penny keeps thinking!
I could only imagine what the creators felt like making this game😂
I remember how in these games the final escape sequence was actually missable. After you thwarted the villain's plan and they run away if you didn't click the right thing at the right time or tried skipping animations they would actually escape and you'd get an alternate ending.
Dude thank you for this comment😂i was sure I beat this game so many times as a kid, but I didnt remember the blimp sequence at all
@@garymcginnis8511there's actually multiple escape sequences too. There's a different one where you chase him in a fancy spy car and picking which roads to take was a big QTE sequence.
Thats so cool
@@burnin8able That part isn't actually an escape sequence; it's an alternate way to reach the villain's lair, replacing the whole underwater section :P
@@ShycoWar turns out: I shouldn't rely on memories from almost 20 years ago when I played this game last. Who knew?
- I f*ckin called it! Arin forgot which diode he needed and had to backtrack.
- It's Bull Clinton.
- They NEED to replay this to get the tango scene. Dan will lose his mind.
This game is actually way harder than the other humongous games. Requires you to use your memory over much longer periods of time, puzzles are more complex.
Arin ... using his memory over long periods of time. surely you jest.
@@Mario583ahonestly it surprises me how the times we expect arin to be dumb he’s actually smart but when we think oh arin will probably figure this out he ends up taking the next 30 minutes trying to figure out something that people that have never played a video game before could probably figure out😂
@@oOSonicexeOopeople like Arin are exactly why modern games have the “Yellow Paint Problem”
That "please stand by" sound bite is ingrained so deep into my brain, I still quote it😂
Tips for these games:
- The escape key skips the traveling cutscenes
- Use the talk bubble stuff and ask around if you are ever stuck. They tell you where to go.
- Click on everything.
- Listen to the conversations - they usually hint at some way you can overcome an obstacle.
- Use the spy watch fun mode to regain sanity.
"Things from Space" in Some Assembly Required is pretty fun, just like playing Galaga
I can't stop laughing at the fact that this is a kids game and not only is it super unintuitive but also the grumps are having enough trouble that they had to consult a walkthrough that they then didn't understand.
Honestly if a game like this came out nowadays it would probably also fail not because of a lack of popularity but because the average gamer nowadays can’t read can’t spot obvious solutions to puzzles and can’t spend more than 5 minutes without wanting to shoot/attack something.
Bro, I finished 3 Spyfox games when I was like 7
I Finished this game when i was in second grade. I would say its very intuitive. as long as you listen to what the characters are saying nobody should need a walktrough XD
@@Caniscanemwurst do you really trust arin to pay attention to things though 😂
@@oOSonicexeOo i was already facepalming in episode 1 where he did not realise the phone number was in the fortune cookie. i was like: its gonna be one of thoose playthroughs XD
That moment when they were all set to take a diode and realized they had no idea which was the right one was the golden moment when you all realize just how genius these Spy Fox games are. Everything is connected.
Classic Arin Hanson
I remember when I first played this as a kid, I didn't know you were supposed to click on the ramp in the truck during the getaway and ended up getting the bad ending. I didn't even know there _was_ a better ending until a friend of mine showed me.
What happens in the bad ending?
@@blueflare3848 The blimp gets away and Fox is awarded a smaller cookie by the cow president guy. You pretty much just don't get to play those last ten minutes or so.
4:04 "YOU DON'T HAVE TO WISE CRACK AT EVERYTHING!!" 🤣💀
I’m hoping they play the sequel: Spy Fox 2 in “The Case of The Dad Kissing Bandit”
You mean "Some Assembly Aquired"
@@jaggerguth4391sure...ruin our fun with your boring "facts" 🙄
We need a fan sequel where spy fox has to rescue our kidnapped dads
My favorite thing is when the Grumps improv lines with the characters’ voices, so them doing it for characters in one of my favorite childhood games is pure gold for me
Spy fox: *takes bread*
Dan: b r e a d
Arin: *losing his shit*
I love how the grumps react to all the other HE games with whimsy and delight, and with this one they're just horny and furious.
I loved this game as a kid
5:47 I love arin's "NO" bro was stressed
Fun Fact: This Game does have a "bad ending" if you don't chase the Kit fast enough after he leaves on the blimp and I swear you can somehow fuck up the jump of the ramp but Im I'm not 100% sure
You can, if you don't click, he stops driving before he goes off the cliff.
Ends up with the same ending as the one if you didn't chase the blimp.
I would be COMPLETELY for y’all playing through the alternate paths of Dry Cereal, so happy y’all enjoyed it!
unfortunately spy fox was gunned down in the street on his next mission after they broadcasted his identity on tv for the cookie giving ceremony
I can imagine a 8 year old Arin yelling and cursing just as much as this playing this game
Never forget they needed a walkthrough for Freddi Fish
I’m glad both the Grumps got a chance to dress up with Spy Fox
Dan would dress up as Kitty Galore .. for ... reasons..
15:36, when he steps on the last alligator's stomach, "Those bubbles didn't come from its mouth!" Only the classiest humor here.
I think the relatively low success of this game is directly reflected in the lack of rule 34 of Monkeypenny.
We need a true hero to correct this injustice!
I will never upload and share my monkeypenny folder
"Die ich rief, die Geister, Werd' ich nun nicht los"
@@dodgerthud6645 creep
I do find it funny that rule 34 has become a way to tell how popular something is 😂
Episode 1: "This game is so charming and animated."
Series Finale: "SHUT THE F***K UP SPY FOX!!!"
I always felt dumb for having trouble with this game when I was 8 but now I feel slightly better
So glad GG played and loved SpyFox. It was the pinnacle of my childhood
“Use the book on Hong Kong Doodle” might be my favorite new out-of-context GG quote.
It really surprised me that Arin clicked to pursue the blimp (especially after the minor trouble of clicking to get to the other side of the alligator room). So many times when I played this as a kid, I waited for Spy Fox to finish his line before trying to do anything, which was a mistake that made time run out and ended up with the bad ending.
It was always such a weird anticlimactic moment seeing Kid get away; it wasn't until many playthroughs later that I realized what I had to do. Glad the Grumps got it on their first try.
Entendres like William getting his "ascot" on the way out. Or Russian Blues "Pleasure, doing business with you" offer new jokes and dynamics is didnt catch as a kid. Love all the H.E. games; but really hope Grumps returns for more Spy Fox Adventures!!
Kinda bummed they didn't meet Walter Wireless aside from seeing them endscene.
SO GOOOD. SO REPLAYABLE.
Operation Ozone is maybe my most memorable of the series.
Thanks so much for playing this, please play more Humongous games!
I love all the spy fox games and I am glad y'all played the first one. Fingers crossed bc they enjoyed this one they play the others, or at least spy fox some assembly required bc to me that's the best one out of them all. Glad they got the good ending. Willd that spy fox games had a good and bad ending
the implications of everyone being a sentient humanoid animal in this game and the cows are livestock is... troubling
I'm more worried about what's in those nuggets.
It seems especially weird that all the female cattle shown are shown on 4 legs, while both of the male cattle shown are shown on 2?
Edit: though... if the female cattle were shown upright..
uh, idk, would that maybe be more weird?
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 124:
Felt fancy so I made cucumber sandwiches with the leftover cucumber. Very refreshing. 10/10.
I rarely have cucumber sandwiches , but when I do I remember that they're good as HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeEEELLLLLlllHH
Love ur songs and edits btw
What else do you put on cucumber sandwiches? It sounds really nice and refreshing but I always wonder if there's anything else to put on it besides just cucumbers and bread
@@Beefnachos I think people often put cream cheese and black pepper
Please do the whole series. Love seeing you guys figure things out like in this game xP
Spy Fox was by far my favorite series growing up. I hope they do more Humongous Games!
This game was such a substantial part of my childhood, it brings me so much pleasant nostalgia to watch you guys play it
Spy Fox's little walk cycle has Hanna-Barbera energy.
Me as a kid would have loved this game.
Me as an adult: “So the spy attends a televised ceremony where he gets an award because he’s really good at spying and is addressed by his codename. Feels a bit counterproductive, doesn’t it?”
I don't think he even has a code name. I think he's literally just named "Spy Fox" because he's a spy that's a fox. It's the only name he ever introduces himself as. Even to the people he's spying on.
Spy Fox and Pajama Sam were my favorite out of these kinds of games. And watching them play Spy Fox made me laugh so much. I hope they play the sequels. It’s always fun watching them play these games.
26:24 You can hear Dan getting distracted by the hot cat winking at him
I honestly thought Arin was gonna draw Poopy Joe on that easel last episode
Bread.
*Arin laughs his ass off*
STFU SPY FOX has become one of my favorite things to hear. XD
This was super charming, would definitely be down to see them tackle another Spyfox game or two
8:31
"Thanks monkey!"
"Alright, now it's just a f*cking micro-aggression..."
As a kid I was able to beat one of the configurations,. When I replayed i would reset to keep getting the path i knew how to beat. This was the biggest nostalgia pick for me that Game Grumps have done. Thank you so much!
I really love the guys playing the older point and click type games, these "kids" ones are great as were Dan playing the Leisure Suit Larry series, it'd be amazing if we could see them play either the Discworld games or Day of the Tentacle
I knew they could do it! Let’s make 2024 the year of grumps completing games 😂
9:12. "Those gophers are outta control."
Beavers, Dan. They're beavers.
"Putt putt travels through time" is similar where theres different playthroughs due to randomization where different things happen.
Which is funnily enough the one i had access to as a kid. I would restart just to get the other playthroughs.
i remember playing for years, and only beating it once. I loved these games. I also spent a long time playing the "fun" mode on the spy watch. You should check out the sequel, that's my favorite!
the endless go fish traumatized them so bad 😭😭😭
No one:
No one at all:
The void:
Spy Fox: 𝘽 𝙍 𝙀 𝘼 𝘿
Played this game so much as a kid but had no idea it had different paths, I've never seen that ending! This and Freddy Fish and the missing kelp seeds were my jam
It genuinely makes me think about my own mortality to recognize that there might be people watching this that don’t remember the ‘Got Milk’ campaign.
This is MY childhood! Get your own! 😂
Forget the Clinton impression, can we talk about the PERFECT Tom Brokaw impression done by the insect news anchor at 23:45??
I played so much spy fox as a kid specifically the ozone layer these games are the BEST!! Please keep playing them 😭❤️
Oh, hey, a prestigious cookie from Bull Clinton. What a reward for all their hard work.
I TOLD Y'ALL SPY FOX WAS DADDY!!! HE GOT THE COOKIE TO PROVE IT!
And than some.
WORD
OMG ITS BULL CLINTON
Aww, no! Was anyone else paying attention to the credits???
"SPY Fox created by: Brad Carlton and Bret Barrett"...
... followed at the end by...
"This game is dedicated to the memory of Bret Barrett."
R.i.P. Thanks for the entertainment. He was 26 when he died. He died 15 months before this game was released.
It's funny how most of the gadgets are just household objects that any kid could play "pretend" with except for the suction cup cufflinks. I feel like somebody missed the memo on that one.
One of my absolute favorite games growing up. Glad you guys played through it and enjoyed it so much.
man, i love these playthroughs. i hope we get another one soon.
Grumps while I'm poopin hits different
Ya hear that Grumps Incorporated! Hiighrow wipes his ass with your content!
Poopins while grumpin
Great use of comments
Spy Fox is absolutely one of my favorite point and click games! Super Happy you guys finally got around to it!
Here's hoping you get to the others soon! 🦊🕵
I would love to see more Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish games! My favorites as a kid were Putt Putt Saves The Zoo (which they played), Putt Putt Travels Through Time, and Freddi Fish 3!
This makes me so happy!! I played all the Humongous games sooo much when I was a kid. Enough to the point where to this day I still every solution to every possible puzzle iteration for every Humongous game (except Fatty Bear) memorized to this day. Glad you guys enjoyed them!
The grumps are making me feel a lot better for how many times I struggled with this game as a 7-9 year old
Man, this is one of the earliest games that I can remember playing in my childhood. It's pretty cool to see this again after all these years
Loved to see this, and was so happy to hear this was their favorite Humongous game. I was 7 when this came out, I played through so many times that I saw just about every possible path you could take in the game. Was super happy to see Arin didn't miss the jump onto the blimp at the end, like I did the first few times I played.
I played this game as a kid and couldn't beat it either, it was SO HARD! I played almost all the Humungous games and the Spy Fox games were the only ones I couldn't figure out how to beat XD those late 90's kids computer games were frickin ruthless.
I know at least most of the freddi fish games also had randomized paths as well and I’m pretty sure some of the pajama Sam ones too
Some of the characters in this game have a mild Rocko's Modern Life vibe.
Kinda agree. While this is from another Joe Murray show, Monkey Penny kinda looks like she's related to Lazlo. LOL
"WORLD."
"BYE."
You know it would dope as hell if they played through the clue finders games.
I hope they play more Spy Fox! was lots of fun to watch!
MY. FAVORITE. HUMONGOUS GAME! (next to the backyard series)
This was a huge backbone into my comedy and sarcasm!
YES, replay the game for the different experiences and/or play the others!!! They are amazing!!!!!
That was a crazy experience. I hope we see more of this.
Arin disarming his milky weapon of destruction really made the cows come home and produced a G.O.A.T. byproduct that ultimately resulted in the creation of the now infamous anti-goat milk agenda.
Wasn’t the boat meant to go out to sea and potentially get sunk? Isn’t that why Spyfox was investigating that part of the ocean; because the ship’s manifest said that’s where they would sail? And then Marta Hari (who, weirdly, wasn’t a double agent even though the historical Marta Hari was a Dutch exotic dancer who was executed by the French for spying for the Germans in the Great War, and is generally a name synonymous with ‘traitor’ today) said the ship was going to sink at a specific time. It seems like that boat with its fancy party served no purpose but to introduce us to Russian Blue. But WHY was the ship going directly to Kidd’s secret lair? Why did Hari say it would sink? I feel like part of another procedurally-generated plot slipped into the main plot being played out here…
Somehow this game was less intuitive than every kings quest game combined.
And those were bat shit insane.
“Of course you use the cream pie to blind the yeti into falling off the cliff, you thought you use your sword to fight it? Are you crazy? A sword can’t hurt a yeti!”
we are going to need a play list of game grumps playing every single humongous games game love this so much!
I got this when I was 5 years old in 1998. I played it probably 20 times before I realized you could chase after William the Kid…
then I played it another 20 times.
It’s wild just how much of my current lexicon that I still use daily is derived from this game. I literally quote this game on an almost daily basis and, because of Game Grumps, am now remembering the source material
please never stop doing game grumps yall bring so much joy to my life
As a kid I struggled playing this game and just thought I was bad at it. Till I remembered how my dad had to play it for me and I would watch him struggle as well. Not really places to look up walkthroughs if you don’t know where you’re going back then. Spy fox remained my favorite game out of all of them though so I’m glad they are playing it, I guess it’s the whole reason I like watching people play video games now a days. Just reminds me of watching my dad play them
Predicting now before I watch that Danny is going to once again be surprised to see Ron Gilbert's name in the credits.
Edit: Dang.
Please play “Spyfox, some assembly required” I was so happy you guys played this. I grew up playing all humongous games, but dry cereal always held a special place in my heart.
It's crazy to think that John Patrick Lowrie and Mike Shapiro voice characters in this game.
i’ve played this multiple times as a kid and i’ve never seen this ending! amazing grump content
I wish we had more footage of Go Fish. The pigs voice was strangely satisfying.
I would love to just have a series where they randomly/periodically will drop another spy fox playthrough ❤️
I'd love to see y'all do more spy fox games!
