I really hope they do Dragon's Lair 2. You ain't seen nothing yet, that game is like this game on bath salts.
Now that they're playing this game, they need to play Dragon's Lair 2. That game is pure WTF in a good way.
Is that the one where Dirk has to escape both chunky Eve and Daphne's raging mother-in-law?
Yes. And Beethoven flies around playing the piano while his cat breathes fire
That game is literally impossible to play in the arcade and the home port, while easier with on screen prompts, is still not easy.
Absolutely loved playing Dragon’s Lair 2 with my cousins. We all had it memorized.
@@LoveMyUnusual It also makes you play through your happily ever after. XD
Link: "I won!"
Pretty sure Dirk got the kiss 😂
“Golly!”
Dragon’s lair the dark souls of arcade games
Dame I didn’t expect this
Dark souls, the dragon's lair of console games
You don't know where you are, you barely have any gear, you are a skeleton every other moment, dying constantly - it really is.
Looks like cartoon version of dark souls
Dark souls is what arcade games used to be.
This and ghouls and goblins
Dragon’s lair was way ahead of its time. It was doing QTE’s way back before resident evil 4 popularized it
You mean Shenmue
Shenmue?
RE4?? What crack are you smoking?
Heavy Rain 0.5
shenmue
A game made up entirely of quick time events HAS to look this good to even have a chance at love from the public.
Telltale, take notes
@@sweetpea2604 Well tbf Telltale (or the only series I saw, the Walking Deads) also had character interaction and relationships as a major feature. They kinda had a Mass Effect like quality but if it was JUST the Normandy crew and a choose you're own adventure. That includes tailoring your character and her choices to your liking.
I mention it cause I only finally played the ME trilogy recently and noticed the similarity.
@@shupasopnithey also have railroading with the illusion of choice
@@ntfoperative9432 True. My point is though that they work off of and sell themselves on pretty different things from DL.
Dayamn that was a fast paced game
Dayan*
The original Dark Souls.
This actually fits for once.
That would be Ghouls' n Ghosts/ Ghosts 'n Goblins ( I dunno) for ya
@@rickydo6572 Yeah, right!
Every game that is difficult is a Dark Souls.
I disagree, this is more like Shen Mue, this is QTE: the game...
8:34 Dan’s laugh made my serotonin go 📈📈📈📈
The animator for this game also made many classics like Anastasia, The Land before time, and more.
The Land Before Time was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I was really into dinosaurs.
Lee Ricciuti but then they made like 15 sequels
@@Gdig728 13 sequels actually. There’s 14 movies including the first one.
I was going to say that if I was Don Bluth I would have reverse versions of all the scenes to trip the player up even harder.....but he does that.
Fair play you quarter crunching monster.
Anyone else notice his score was 46920? It's a 69 in the middle of a 420.
*crawls back to the Land of Unfunny Jokes
That how relaxed you have to be in order to win this game.
Now they should play Space Ace.
And Dragon's Lair 2
And Brain Dead 13
Yes
For the Super nintendo!
Space Maize.
So where’s Dirk the Daring? All I see is Dirk the Dying
Yo
@@dirkthedaring5131 yo how do you just shrug off dying like that? you got secrets your not telling us?
Oof
In the second game, there's a whole sequence just to escape aaaaalllll the way back home. Ending as soon as you save her here is like a blessing
I somehow managed to beat dragons lair 2 time warp on the windows 95 release and yup as soon as you save Daphne the game just ends.
_smh my head doesn’t even play it with Finn._
You mean Gaten
I'M STEALING THE LIKES YOU WILL GET FROM THIS

I’ve been waiting for this damn video!
We all have, after they spoiled it weeks ago.
It turns out i got aids
Oh sorry i thought this was discord
Same!
This _dayan_ video!
Rest in peace Vera. Daphne was an icon.
This game has 22 minutes of animation and cost 1.3 million to make.
Damn, the finishing score was 46920. So close...
Holy shit yea! Im glad i saw this it went by too quick for me to catch that! HaZAA for weed and sex! Life is SHIT without them!
why have just one?
I didn't understand at first and now I'm just disappointed.
@pkslider725 you win!
So close to what? It's already perfect if you ask me..
Here is me waiting on the official movie.
Don Bluth is so incredibly talented
Trinity Bennie (good) Don Bluth >>>> Disney
Much of my childhood memories are from his movies
Vanilla Milkshake Land Before Time was MY TAPE to play as a kid! I wore out the cardboard box for it! I recently showed it to my nephew and nieces (ages 5-10) and they loved it! I was so happy for them!
Every time it was at the point where she was talking...
*Me* "THERE IS NI-P!! THERE IS NI-P! YOU CAN SEE THE NI-P!! THIS WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED NOW ADAYS- THIS IS NI-P!!"
So did Dayan. Which is why he died. So many glorious times.
The little crack in Dan's voice at 33:41 was so great
but like Dan's girlfriend Ashley actually looks like princess Daphne. Coincidence? I think not!
Don't you love it when your grown woman girlfriend acts like a 4-year-old
I thought the same thing (ish). I hope they are happy together and that she doesn't mind him oggling animated buttcheecks. Though I can't imagine they'd be together long if she was one of THOSE girls.
Shit, I replied to the wrong comment. Sorry about that
Robina Stanbob and Dan has dressed before in a similar knight outfit to fight a dragon in an NSP music video
she may be blonde but she does NOT look like her
Danny's the Dragonslayer. He's the one who conquered the Dragon's Lair
Dayan, fighter of the nightan
I love this!
Has everything I like.
- Arin and Dan
- Suwords
- Don Bluth's beautifull animation
- And a classic save the princess and don't die story
There were no arrows. The indicators were just the glowing on the screen, and sometimes the glow was a fake out
It was so painful. Addicting, but a money grab for sure!
@@feliciahartyful The buttons on the arcade cabinet lit up.
@@scarletice yep. ?
I don’t remember this Dark Souls DLC
31:12 "I wonder who did the voice"
Dammit Dan, don't you remember in King's Quest VI when Ross told you that it was Holly's grandpa's ex-wife who did her voice!
did anyone else hear arins dead-on impression at 31:06
So good
Where was Arin when they were looking for the voice actress?
23:12 "Whats the ROI on that dankage?" had me dying!
Honestly the way Daphne acts makes it seem like there's something seriously wrong with her.
What, don't you love it when your adult girlfriend acts like a 4-year-old?
Maybe she thought there would be good sex at the castle and was trapped there for years with no sexy time
The dragon isn’t gonna hurt her and she knows it.
She's mind controlled.
She may or may not abuse drugs.
They're gonna do Dragon's Lair 2 and Space Ace as well, right? Right!?
Dear god I can already foresee them dying of laughter trying to escape from dirk's mother in law (daphne's mother) after he explains to their dozen+ kids that "mommy's been kidnapped again"....
"Dayan" got so close to my name I got excited. Lmao all those years getting my name misspelled worse made this episode that much better lmfao
Dan's gotta get Daphne's peppermint creams.
ALSO HER BUTT!!!
