  • Today on the vlog we went to some Iconic Landscape photography spots in The Faroe Islands.
    Find my Faroe Islands photography on IG at bit.ly/IGBvS
    There are lots of iconic photo spots on The Faroe Islands. In fact, within a 10 minute drive of the airport, you can find about 4 shots that are absolute classics. Some of the best photography locations anywhere in the world are all within a short trip. And sure, this photo trip to the Faroes is meant to be about location scouting and finding new locations. But, we can't help but stop and photograph the iconic photo spots.
    On today's photography vlog, I took the participants of my workshop to some of the most iconic spots to sort of get them out of the way. If you capture the classic images right away, you're not so worried about being sure you get those images later on It takes a lot of weight off your shoulder.
    So, as this Faroe Islands photography vlog series continues, look for fewer of these iconic photo locations, and more hidden gems we find along the way.

      That's a tough question but I think I'd like to see both. I want to see a possible new perspective on an iconic shot but I also want to see the hidden shots in the event I want to visit that location. Brendan, it would be nice to give us a heads up on some of these hikes you take as to length of time and difficulty level. The Faroes is definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for taking us along.

      I like the hidden or underappreciated spots but it's always nixlce to see the iconic spots done right or with new perspective of emotion. They are iconic for a reason right!?

    What I like is you are able to spot locations that I would normally walk pass, and then use the filters to enhance the scene.

    Good work. Break out the long lens every once in a while, usually gives a unique perspective of an iconic shot.

    Great stuff, very informative. My suggestion is you overlay your spots with place names. It’s really tough to follow your video and where things are. It might be very helpful if you animate the map of the area you cover.

  • @old4004

    I watch all of your videos, Brendan, and I'm trying to understand if on these trips you are acting as instructor or just guide. It seems that in the excitement to get good shots, you're leaving the others on their own. Maybe in between shots you are instructing. Keep taking us to these great places via video!

    • @BrendanvanSon
      @BrendanvanSon  6 лет назад

      In between shots I'm instructing. Obviously, I can't film that myself.
      Moreover, this is a VIP scouting trip, so the focus isn't heavy on education but more just going out and shooting.

    Hey, Brendan! Loving the photos thus far. Looking forward to checking out the other videos from this location. One question ... when you go to a location that you know you aren't going to be able to pronounce the locations of, why don't you just add a little caption of the name when you edit the video so people can see where you're at in the video? :)
