Kenny the majority of people including myself are so glad to see you back detecting and making videos. You are a gentleman and a scholar my friend, we understand fully your reasons for stepping back, people can be very selfish but at the end of the day it’s about you and what makes you happy. Thanks for any future videos you find time to make, we are all on your side👍
Down in Florida so I don't get to see the older finds. The vdi's and dig are so much more interesting and informative than just showing finds as I've seen in other videos. Great job
Nice hunt. Personally I liked the flat button and the largie best ... I enjoy watching the numbers and guessing what you are digging before you show it. 😎⚒
I can't believe you are out metal detecting in the snow. I guess when I was your age I did too. That 1828 large cent was a fabulous find. Again glad to see you back.
Beautiful Large. There is no better part for me than when I can read "Liberty". Always makes me smile,. And I agree on the update. My first few times out after the update I seriously thought my Nox was broken. WAY noisier than it had ever been.
I admire the fact that your out there in the cold and snow doing what we love to do. Been raining hard in my neck of the woods for 3 solid weeks! Good for you.
I really enjoyed the hunt. Old home sites are probably my favorite place to hunt. You dig a lot of trash targets, but all it takes is one good find to make it all worth the time and effort. TC&HH
My family has always enjoyed your videos. We appreciate your dedication to the hobby and videos you produce. The Squirrel family has been in our prayers. Welcome back.
Stumbled across your channel by the RUclips algorithm and glad I did! While not always the greatest finds (that’s just REAL), you seem to produce some of the best overall quality MD videos out there. Also will be ordering a Nox soon and starting to capture video for my channel. Have learned a lot from you in a short time regarding both the Nox and video work. Very well done, sir!
It is absolutely fantastic to see your videos again! We greatly appreciate all of the work and effort you put into each adventure! Whatever the cadence you can afford we are thankful!
Hey glad to see you back, I have been missing seeing your videos. Great looking large cent, that one came out with nice details for a farm field penny. I for one really appreciate all the hard work you put in to making quality videos. Hope all is well and to see you again soon.
I am so happily surprised to see two videos drop in one day 🎉😀 Thank you ☺ Congrats on finding the old 1928 copper largie and so many great relics. Keep your videos coming at your own rate 👍 I'll be here whenever you are ready!!
I hear more negative reports on the Nox update than positive, I've never updated mine as i believe it's a top machine as is. Great finds as usual, happy hunting 👍
Awesome job on the large cent. You’re videos were instrumental in getting me back into detecting after a 15 year hiatus. Picked up an Equinox 800 back in September and now drag my 3 year old son out with me most of the time. He absolutely loves it, doesn’t matter what I find, it is treasure to him.
This was my first time checking out on of your videos but I really enjoyed it. Nice camera work, nice flow to everything. There are so many poorly made metal detecting YT videos out there but you have a solid grasp on what makes a video entertaining and easy to watch and not click off or after a minute or two. Well done
Thank you Chris... with each video I have tried to get better at this. It's been a long hard road full of learning experiences and I plan to only get better. Just need to figure out this audio gain on my mic now.. LOL. Seems like when at home testing it is so very different than when in the field.
Square Nail Squirrel I bought a Rode directional mic that plugs into the Lighting port on my IPhone because I was having some audio issues on hunts. The price point was reasonable and in my opinion it’s cleared up a lot of those audio issues I was having. Looking forward to your next video whenever that may be. Take care my friend
I'm going to wait to update my Equinox too. I love it and am reluctant to have to relearn a familiar machine. I'm just glad you're back at it, was worried something might have happened to you. Look fwd to all your videos, dont let trolls get you down, they're everywhere and ruin it for those of us who enjoy your videos. Thanks for posting again.
I updated my machine, and it was an excellent update; it got rid of the false signal you would get on bottle caps. That's the only thing it did, and you have the option to use the old one at anytime, by toggling FE to FE2 if i remember correctly. Pretty sure it's FE lol. The download took 20 seconds. Hope this was helpful.
I would like to say I have really enjoyed your videos, I watch all of them I see, I first started following you because I bought a whites v3i , and do to the complicated nature of the machine I watched you to learn more about it. If your every in Ontario, Canada I would love to do a hunt with you. I enjoy and see the time and effort you put into the videos. I fully understand you seem to have personal issues that need your full attention at the moment.I feel I have learned a lot from you. I went thru a ruff patch a few years ago with a divorce and my father passing away, The fact we are even on your radar right now is impressive. All the best from Elora, Ontario
I have only been to Ontario on boy scout camp outings which was a very long time ago. :) Maybe it's time I get back up there.. if I do.. I will check in with ya. Thanks for tuning in to the channel.
Good to see you back. Been waiting forever for you to post another video. I love the way you produce your videos and the knowledge you give. Anyway God bless and can’t wait to see the next.
Way to go on finding the Liberty Large Cent, and I'm HAPPY to see you back on here again, and all them bad commenters are is Trolls that have nothing better to do with their time so just block them and be happy. Love your channel. : )
Very good hunt in my book...not every hunt will produce great finds. but all it takes to make it worth it is that one find. you got it buddy...that one cent piece would have cleared my mind and all the effort and time would have been paid off with that one find. I always try to imagine...what was happening at that year and what was happening in this area of that year. Then i try to put together a scenario of how that coin ended up where it did almost 200 years ago. my mind goes bonkers having fun thinking of all that and it makes my day ya know. That's why i love metal detecting so much. Your holding something someone guarded dearly at that time and could have desperately been trying to find it for hours. Let me hush now or I will end up writing a small book. Great video my friend...Maybe one day I can meet you and we can spend a few hours on the same level in a field full of history beneath our feet. Once again...I felt like I was standing right beside you. Thank you for your efforts in making a great video.
Would be great to get out to hunt with ya.. email so we can connect. I am trying to find a few folks to possibly hunt and make a video with this 2020 year. Square nail squirrel at gmail... (no spaces). I too think about what the site was like and who lost whatever the item.... when out detecting. So many things to enjoy with detecting.
Your comment makes me want to hold off on updating my Equinox😐. I don’t think I will till I hear folks say the update really benefited them. Thanks Kenny.
From what I have heard as well as heard from a couple comments on here the new setting really excels in canceling out bottle caps. I found the machine to be somewhat different acting but all I did was turn the setting all the way down so it is either off or barely on in the machine is just like normal.
Great find, nice to find those old ones. A friend of mine and I have been using the iron bias setting (f2) , we are working a highly nailed area. Yes, you will dig some nails but it seems to work better for separating trash . It has taken like 25-35 hours to feel comfortable with it. But you know , nothing is better than digging it to see what you have.
Very true about seeing the target and thank for for the info on the new setting.. I still have it on the machine and possibly in the future there may be scenario where I need it. take care :)
Two episodes in one day just made my night. Thank you. Not only is there no way for me to go detecting right now with the solid frozen ground covered by a foot of snow but I'm flat on my back due to my ongoing back problems. So this definitely made my night alot better. Thank you. Congrats on your large cent and my bucket list flat button. I sure wish I had your talent for making videos and editing skills. Awesome job. Thanks again, good luck, happy hunting and take care.
Thanks... that was the hardest contraption to build and after a bunch of wasted money on parts and by version 5 I had it figured out. LOL.. I still would like to make it better but all in due time.
glad to see ya back in action. keep up the good work buddy. I also do not like the update. I went out and dug about 20 nails that were ringing up clean and great at around 21.
Trying my best with the mic.. the gain was set too high. The next video it will be better but it still needs to come down a bit. Problem in the next video is 40 mph wind from this past Sunday. Tough to make video in.
I have a CTX3030 and a Nox 800. My wife has a Nox 800 as well. I have the large coil on the CTX and use it most of the time. I like the target trace on the CTX. It makes for a great coin machine. I like the Nox 800 also and use it when I get tired of swinging the CTX and I like the Nox in the trashy areas. If I was to have a complaint about the Nox, it is the compacted VDI numbers. Penny numbers run into the dime numbers and it's hard to tell the difference half the time.
My wife is a sniper with the Nox 800. She doesn't miss much and she usually finds more than me. I have screws and plates in my feet and back so I have to pace myself and try to dig good targets and less trash so the CTX does well in that regards.
I also agree that the 20-24 range is so hard to tell what is going to come out of the ground. Not such a big deal in a field but when in an old park you dig zinc pennies all day long where if the scale was stretched a little more you could avoid all the digging depending on what you are after. If you go fishing or metal detecting with your wife... they will always catch more and find more that you. LOL :) Thanks for commenting and checking out the video.

Best detecting videos online.
It's not about monetary riches. Do what you feel is right in your heart. Do what makes you happy. Don't let the trolls get you down.
Again I have really missed your videos. Glad you are back and extremely happy you are back in the farm fields.
Down in Florida so I don't get to see the older finds. The vdi's and dig are so much more interesting and informative than just showing finds as I've seen in other videos. Great job
Great video, truly respect you getting out in those Ohio winters. Not me! Lol. Thanks for sharing. *Chris*
Really liked this! Thank you !
Nice couple of finds. Thank you for coming back. Once a month would be fine with me. You know best. Good day Sir.
The large cent put a smile on your face. Makes the cold worth it.
Nice LC Kenny, congrats 👍
I could feel your joy coming through my monitor when you found that large cent. :-)
Your videos remind me so much of my experiences and mindset. Love it
nice finds and good to see you on again!
Great to see you postin again. Nice Largie and saddle strap escucheon. Bet that NOX will do well at the old log cabin
Beautiful Large. There is no better part for me than when I can read "Liberty". Always makes me smile,. And I agree on the update. My first few times out after the update I seriously thought my Nox was broken. WAY noisier than it had ever been.
I sure has heck don't see how anyone could criticize your video's. I for one really enjoy them.
nice... two videos in a short time. Again I'm happy to see that you're back.
Welcome back brother. Boy did we miss you.
Thanks for another great video.

Kenny, this just made my day!!!!!! Thanks man :)
Your welcome Mike. :)
I read the other comments, it is true your videos are the best I have seen on RUclips about this subject.
I sure have missed your videos. Good to have you back. Nice large cent.
Nice hunt, love the large cent! 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
What a great surprise, welcome back. Great to see your well.
My family has always enjoyed your videos. We appreciate your dedication to the hobby and videos you produce. The Squirrel family has been in our prayers. Welcome back.
Happy to see your putting out videos again. Your the best.

Good to see a new video from you! Has been a while. Congratulations on the largie!!
Like your video so much nice field good for metal detecting 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻see you on the next video ✌️🥑🇲🇽
My hands are cold just watching this. That LC is a beauty.
LOL.. they go numb after a bit and your good to go from there. Kidding. :)
Very nice to see you again very nice hunt and a sweet largie. Have a great day and Gl and HH 😎👍👍
Awesome find

Missed your great show. Glad to see you back at it.
Great finds especially the large cent. I like the way you show the VID's , what it sounds like and your interpretation of it. GL HH
Enjoyed very much, Great editing, very entertaining, Thank you. GL & HH

I have heard that is where the new setting excels.. good to know more folks out there agree with it’s purpose.
Your advice on using old maps has helped me out tremendously. Congratulations on the large cent !
Glad that the mapping has improved your hunt. Thanks for the congrats. :)

I have to set it up in the house.. my wife is always like.. "gosh you have to get that thing out again". LOL I just laugh... its a monstrosity.
Enjoyed it.
Nice, Thank you.
glad to see ya back in action. keep up the good work buddy. I also do not like the update. I went out and dug about 20 nails that were ringing up clean and great at around 21.
Awesome hunt! Love the LC!
Thank you 🙂 hope all is well up there.
Good Stuff...! Little bits of History...!
1828 Liberty large cent... good for you! Nice video! Take care!
Welcome back again bud!
Nice recovery on the large cent. That is one coin on my list for sure. I have only found a Canadian large cent but not a US. Great video as always!
good vid.....good to see you back at it
Nice finds, that’s a huge field who knows what else you are gonna find there. The wireless mic sounds great also 👍🏻
Trying my best with the mic.. the gain was set too high. The next video it will be better but it still needs to come down a bit. Problem in the next video is 40 mph wind from this past Sunday. Tough to make video in.
That coin is beautiful.
Welcome back! Many things were changed...i´ve bought an equinox too!!! :)
Awesome... hope your have been out digging.
Great large cent for a farm field!
Great Video!!
