I've watched a lot of RUclips covers of this tune and I have to say this is one of the best. Great sound and feel and also one of the most note and tone accurate covers I have ever heard.
I found it so funny that the only vocal in this song is from Team America: World Police. Not many bands can say that, especially one that’s been so consistently non-profane in their lyrical content
The Snakes and Arrows documentary they did said that it was a favourite movie of all three of their's at the time, and also this track was added last when Geddy got a new Jaco Pastorius Fretless, and their producer secretly recorded Geddy while he was mucking about then they built this out of it. A super cool video you can watch on YT :)
Huh, I never tried to learn this song cause Ged wrote it on a fretless, and I just don't have the patience/precision for that, but seeing you play it fretted, maybe it's more in my grasp than I realized
@@ericmartens2112 I stumbled my way into acquiring a fretless and decided to learn this song. Took me a little while to figure out the main riff, but I think I've just about got it. It's kinda weird having to rake the A and D strings consistently with both fingers. Most of the time if I'm using the rake technique I use on finger and go across three or four strings in a melodic setting, but I'm finding it more of a challenge to only do it across two strings! Kinda weird
You made it look effortless, just like Geddy.
Digging the Tuner Cam View…YEAH

I've always wondered where the lyrics came from. Thanks

It's actually pretty logical. It's easy once you get the basic riff between the A and D strings.

Man, I'm struggling to get that right hand technique down...ugh!
Awesome playing! Cool effects too! Do you have 2 cameras attached to the head?
No, just one GoPro. I do multiple croppings on one camera. I use Final Cut Pro 10x. Great video package.
Are you Geddy in disguise?
Haha. No, I can only scratch the surface of Geddy's playing.
