While it's funny to see their reactions in the moment you're right about it being funny if they find out later & then there's an explanation. There was even a moment were Sarah refused to believe the truth & Kate could have left it there & continued later when it comes crashing down.

You cab make a living as actor btw. It's not impossible. Second City has a corporate program. Also, there's lots of teaching gigs. And then there's commercials. A couple of my friends have booked commercials and TV shows. Additionally, there's lots of voice acting gigs. 😉

Why didn't Sarah find a place to live when she was in training? It sounds like a paid training job. I starting to doubt that Sarah has a job. This is why you don't let relatives move in with you. You should also get a contract if you are foolhardy enough to let a relative live with you. She should be considering the possibility of Harry and her sister sleeping together if Sarah is refusing to budge. Ofc, Harry said Sarah could stay. I'm not in the least surprised. What kind of nasty person would sleep with the guy who is sleeping with her sister? I'm glad Kate isn't fighting to keep this nasty man. Also, Harry isn't an object Sarah borrowed from Kate so that she can return him when she no longer wants him. I was wondering when the two companies were going to meet. I don't blame Kate for turning down Sarah after what she said about Kate's company disappearing. Sarah got what she wanted. Thisis what happens when you covet someone else's possessions, etc.
I hope if Kate chooses to date again she finds a faithful man that puts his share of work into the relationship & finances unlike Harry who didn't have much talent so couldn't make much & after losing his acting career apparently lost his part time 7/11 job at some point & stopped helping out financially choosing just to be a moocher that at least does the chores. While it's good Harry is helping around the apartment he's also not helping out when neither he nor Sarah can afford to have only one person at home plus he's not suppose to be there he got in by forcing Sarah to deal with him.
Though Sarah deserves her karma I feel like Harry needs to get lost plus when these stories have someone be a moocher as punishment to another person it often annoys me cause the moocher should be forced to work too as being a moocher makes it feel like they got off easy. Harry may have lost his dream job(along with apparently his 7/11 job) but he's getting away with clinging to his affair partner that dumped him & forcing his way into being her house boyfriend while she's the only one slaving away. I want to imagine Sarah got a lot of notes/evidence of him trespassing & shit so because he failed his part of the deal she takes him to court for harassing her, trespassing/loitering, he tries to point out she let him in but is shot down when she points out he forced his way in & made her unable to make him leave & he leeched off her. In the end she manages to get a restraining order against him & some compensation while Harry is forced out with police making sure he leaves.
Harry breaks the restraining order & is fined for it leading to him finally accepting he needs to stay away from Sarah & he finally has to get a job since he can't mooch off of her again. Harry is devastated as not only has he lost any chance at becoming an actor but the girl he left his fiance for that he thought he was destined to be with wants nothing to do with him. He can't crawl back to Kate, defiantly can't go back to Sarah, he has no one & likely has to go back to part time jobs again, time to get over the time you spent mooching & shit. Meanwhile Sarah despite getting some money back & finally able to toss Harry away is still struggling as her career is down the drain. The only good thing is leaving the condo since it's pricey. Like Harry she can't get Kate's help, in the end she & Harry are alone & struggling with money.
