Unfortunately it does seem that every male character in the show is either a psycho or a cheater or a two timer .even if they start out good eventually they turn bad. Wally was a case in point. Chrissie turn the word "Bastards" into an art form.
I liked Rick's sensible, casual and mature approach with Meg regarding her new messed up behaviour!

Judy's nagging of Myra and picking holes in her management is just annoying by today's standards it would be verging on bullying. She was going off at her before she got knocked out too , its going to be such a grating aspect that a character as tough and ruthless as Myra has to be , to be top dog has a whinny belly aching also ran like Bryant in the background telling her she's gone too far or not far enough each time she makes a decision and it was Judy who wanted Myra to be top dog ,cause she did not have the guts and focus to hold the position herself. If she had mouthed off at Bea in the same way she would have got slapped down as soon as she opened her sanctimonious trap.

lol all those people gorping through the shop window after 22:30. They could have pointed the camera away from the front window so we wouldn't see them trying to get in shot. That bloke in the glasses at the end of the scene looked like he'd just been dug up.
Not often I agree with Joan, however, she has the doctor nailed. Wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw an elephant.
OK, I know it's devious, but 'hypnotised to be evil Meg' is actually pretty funny. Like a cartoon or sitcom plot. All she needs is a top hat and cape.

"Dr. Edmonds ( more like Creepmonds!!! IMHO ) is a weirdo and appears to be a slime ball in the way he is rekindling old flames with Reyno, whilst using Meg in more ways than one = yuck & he makes my skin crawl. Where is Dr.Weismann when you need him?, I am sure he could see through "Dr. Creepmonds" as fast as Pixie could pick out a wedding dress ;-) . Something odd about the Newsagent story too and his daughter , whenever they show us outsiders it does not bode well. Cass??? , don't believe this nut job !!. Oh No!. Poor Bobby?!. True, plus a lot of people are convinced that Sirhan Sirhan was hypnotized in just this way before he assasinated Bobby Kennedy in 1968. And yes, I agree there's a lot of stuff going on that we don't know about. However, I think Prisoner, for better or for worse, explored an area that hasn't been established as reality. .......... Again, I eventually accepted this premise, but I'd have problems if an inmate decided to build her own light saber in the work shop. Interesting discussion.

I've been to a few hypnotists. One of them helped me be relaxed and confident in a required speech class. The hypnosis sessions were very relaxing--and helped me a lot--but I never even lost consciousness. (I'm told some people lose sonscoiusness, others don't.) Both hypnotists allowed me to keep the sessions on tape, so I could use them at home. They also gave me advice for self-hypnosis. Poor Meg first she loses her memory now she's being brainwashed by the Wentworth Svengali. I was always told that you can't do anything under hypnosis that you wouldn't do in normal life ;so the idea that he can just put a few prisoners, or Meg for that matter ,under hypnosis and turn them into his own personal robots is a bit far-fetched.
That's what's so great about this show - it just doesn't give a stuff for convention!

I wonder if the hypnotism in this episode was based on research? I've been hypnotized many times, and it only works if I want it to. I've also read that people can't be hypnotized against their will (although both Cass and Meg wanted aspects of it to work). It is known that hypnotism has different effects on different people.
There are many reasons to love this show but one of the main ones, for me, is that it would take the wackiest of storylines and just run with it. To hell with logic, medical science and any other namby-pamby considerations. An attitude most shows would be terrified to employ. Dr.Edmonds' Rasputin-like influence on not one, not two, but three of the main characters is so far beyond ridiculous that I sit here open-mouthed in awe at the sheer audacity of the narrative. Prisoner really does make other shows feel so tame in comparison.
It's a bit cartoony - and I love it for that.
When Meg slapped Reb I jumped in shock at how out of character that was for her, then started laughing at the absurdity of it all. Reminds me of the time when Elspeth fell about laughing in an outtake when Doreen was feeding Meg in a hospital bed in the prison. That Dr Edmunds is a right little piece isn't he, the rotten mongrel!

Where Cass Parker is at 1:24 it is a pity Chrissie Latham was not in that position between episode 305 and episode 335.
The hypnotist is another Wentworth screwball. I figured he was experimenting with Meg, who has been seeing him socially.
