I just got the Blink, and I really like that it works with the Echo Dots that I have and it plays a chime and announces that "Someone is at the Front Door".
the single most important thing is how long it takes to show the live feed after someone hits the bell. If you can not timely do a two way talk while seing whats going on it's useless. all other features are secondary. I have nest and i've integrated it into home assistant and I've made an automation to get a voice notification on my google home mini which says 'person' when it detects a person.
An important thing you missed if you can buy the Blink Doorbell and a Synch Module 2 for the same price as the Wyze. A big advantage of this is that the Synch allows you to plug in a USB and record feed to that rather than pay a subscription. Also, you can add other blink cameras and echo devices.
One correction, even though the Blink says it can be wired...it actually doesn't power the doorbell. Its only wired to make your existing doorbell chime ring. Whereas the Wyze can be wired to power. EDIT: I stand corrected, Wyze can be hard-wired but does not ring your existing chime.
You're incorrect, the Wyze cannot ring your existing doorbell. Also they don't disclose vulnerabilities for years and it takes 20 seconds from when someone rings tour bell untill you can answer on your phone. In short don't by the Wyze. Source: I own the Wyze.
@@clarkcant Thanks for clearing that up. I love their V3 cams but just cant commit to buying the doorbell. Any recommendation? I would like no subscriptions and the ability to ring existing chime without having to swap out batteries... A ring doorbell without paying
@@clarkcant The video doorbell pro can ring your doorbell if you hard wire it in. I have mine set up that way. The downside is that you can only use the doorbell or the chime, not both. The Wyze doorbell also can only run chime.
You had me at “having the chime of my life”. Don’t think I’ve ever subbed prior to watching the video solely because the title made me heehaw. This video changed that. Good on ya, sir. 🎉
Love the video; I am a Wyze fan with literally dozens of their products. You just can't beat Wyze for cost, features, compatibility and ease of installation. Love the outtake ending!
I'm in the UK just bought a Blink and whilst happy overall the motion alert leaves a lot to be desired ... It will pick up a dog running through the garden or a car on the street but anyone coming to the door is actually at the door before I get an alert and the video shows them only about 12 feet from the door whereas I was expecting them more than double than that
I am so happy I stayed till the end! The video was very informative and covered everything I wanted to know. The last part put a smile on my face and secured the thumbs up!
I also like that Wyze offers other smart devices such as the wireless smart garage door opener and this way I only need to use one Wyze app to view all my all cameras, receive notifications, etc
I am sitting here watching your video as my app attempts to connect to my VERY UN"wyze" doorbell. I have had it for several months now and it works fine about 10 % of the time the rest of the time it is worthless. I am less than 10 feet from the doorbell, and less than 3 feet from my router. I got the doorbell and camera as a gift and have been okay with the camera but I was telling my adult son this morning that if he ever purchases a video doorbell to avoid Wyze. Better to not have one as it is nothing but a frustration. I won't go into all the reasons here, but I strongly suspect that anyone who tells you that it is not total crap has something to sell you!!!
hi, i have the blink camera and wired in, after 1 mth use, no more battery, and its like dead, doorbell dont ring too, nevermind not getting any notification, nothing....did i do something wrong? please help
The description about Blink is not really accurate. For example, one can do a current camera capture on the app if one want see how much snow accumulation within any motion or doorbell trigger. Also, the wired connection to existing door bell also cost no extra.
I have a couple of Wyze V3 cameras and really like them. The Wyze doorbell however does not allow for a micro sd card to record events or 24/7 like the V3 does. Otherwise I would have already bought one.
Blink lets you use any blink mini camera you may already have as a chime. And the sound quality is way better. Battery life depends on how long you have the motion detection set for. Longer clips = less batterlife unfortunately
I just ordered a bunch of Blink cameras and the app is NOT compatible with any Amazon device :( Not even a brand new FIRE HD 10 :( Returning for a refund. Amazon owns Blink. Pitiful.
The Wyze battery last 2 weeks, on power save mode, low distance alert, recording 9am-9pm window. Might get 6 months of turn off all features and only record when doorbell is pushed. It’s an unrealistic battery life selling point.
You should probably install it as a wired camera to see if you get better performance in real time being able to intervene before a person leaves and as it happens. Battery tends to have more lag to conserve battery life or being able to watch live feed at any time.
in 2023 they now have Doorbell + Chime Controller 39.99 and takes SD Wyze Video Doorbell v2 I was thinking of getting the Blink but it just seems too cheap for the price and Wyze has been around and dose great... I won't touch the RING products.. everyone I know that has one hates it....
Other than the Ring doorcam which I have on order, 2 months and counting... Could you do a review on any other peephole doorcams if indeed, there are any more out there other than Ring? I'm just interested, plus I think it would be useful for people who live in rentals who cannot hard wire in some of these door cams for obvious reasons, or they don't have a plug socket within easy reach of the door.
somebody help me out please I'm I'm new on these.. aren't the completely useless if someome walks up & quickly rip it off ur wall.. now u have no video & are out the cost of door bell.. seems extremely stupid 2 buy it. I'm i wrong & not getting how they work.. please let me know.. thanks
Seems a little biased not to mention that even with the sync module (which is often free during sales) the blink is still cheaper, and then relates NO monthly fee
You have poor WIFI speed,i have the blink and with my WIFI speed i have time to thank the delivery guy b4 he leaves from my live view, without all that buffering yours was doing...
Yeah I'm sure all the victims of murder and theft that have been solved using their neighbors video doorbell camera are all faking it. If you feel better doing nothing that's your call but why drag everyone else down?
They are pretty much worthless to any thief as they are bound to the original account. Also very likely it will capture the person stealing it and upload the video to the cloud. Just about any camera can be destroyed by someone with a hammer so not sure why you are concerned with this.

Yup exactly. He's misleading ppl here with wrong info!!!
Ik this is a year old, but you can purchase the wyze 128 GB micro SD

Would have been nice if you covered the night vision comparison between the products.

I used both, Blink is soooo much better in real life! This guy is obviously a Wyze Guy!
You can look at a live view on the Blink by the way any time you want. Simply tpuch the video icon on the home screen of the app.
Live view requires that a sync module be installed. Currently you can buy the Blink video doorbell with sync module on sale for $60.
@@fedderd Nice and that makes it cheaper than wyze
@@greyghosst Right; and if you already have a sync module (for your existing Blink cameras) the video doorbell alone is currently only $40.
I am so happy I stayed till the end! The video was very informative and covered everything I wanted to know. The last part put a smile on my face and secured the thumbs up!
But any recommendation for an Anti-Theft for Wyze Doorbell??
I also like that Wyze offers other smart devices such as the wireless smart garage door opener and this way I only need to use one Wyze app to view all my all cameras, receive notifications, etc
Great video. The outtakes are pure gold.
Would have loved to see the night vision view, my ring doorbell is really bad for that.
My Ring doorbell has great night vision. It has two IR leds to illuminate.
The Wyze doorbell pro has impressive night vision. It has six IR leds and lights up my entire porch.
Will the Wyze speaker notify you when it detects motion or only when the button is pushed?

Blink cameras have a delay when viewing the video. That’s the negative. But with any doorbell camera they can be easily ripped off and stolen..
hi, i have the blink camera and wired in, after 1 mth use, no more battery, and its like dead, doorbell dont ring too, nevermind not getting any notification, nothing....did i do something wrong? please help
The Wyze url takes us to a $299 version. I don’t see a $90 version anywhere.
if you have blink camera system already go with blink, otherwise wyze.
The description about Blink is not really accurate. For example, one can do a current camera capture on the app if one want see how much snow accumulation within any motion or doorbell trigger. Also, the wired connection to existing door bell also cost no extra.
Does this have live view though?
If you hard wire does it use the existing door bell?
The ending, priceless! 🤣
Check out Eufy wireless doorbell. No monthly fees... videos securely saved locally. Great video.
There was one part missing: Audio quality. And, night time vision.
so I have to pay 2 dollars a month to use the wyze?
Not true.
I have a couple of Wyze V3 cameras and really like them.
The Wyze doorbell however does not allow for a micro sd card to record events or 24/7 like the V3 does. Otherwise I would have already bought one.
You mean otherwyze.....
😅
@@PSYCHOV3N0M Finally a spelling correction in a thread that I can agree with!
It might not have 24/7 like the v3s but it doesn't record to the cloud if you have cam Plus
Thanks for this useful video. Can you tell me if there is a way to link these to a tv; echo show; etc to act as a monitor?

The Wyze video feed is stored in a cloud server, and the people stealing the camera will be recorded doing so.
Good video. Thanks for the easy-to-understand comparison. Love the bloopers!
Ummm can’t find this on Amazon
Uh, you forgot to mention that Alexa can be used as a chime with Blink. It does the exact same thing.
He did said echo device.
Blink had better step it up because other manufacturers are quickly passing them by.
eufy Doorbell better you don't have pay monthly fee more Privacy you should be say this on video this what people looking for Privacy
I was thinking that they left out eufy as well.
Privacy on eufy?
If the doorbell can be ripped off from the wall and then you need to pay for storage not worth it to be honest just a silly gimmick to think your safe
Night time review missing
This comment section is hilarious, so much random uninformed complaining. Great video though!
Very good video👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Awesome video 🔥🔥👍
Absolutely hate blink cameras
The real question: which one ring-a-ding-DONGS?
The Ring door bell is much better than these two. Although it has the same sort of delay which makes two-way communication a bit hit and miss.

both have subs... Hard Pass.
Try Eufy.
Ding dong like King Kong Hªª hªª hªª
Ring a ding don't

Thank you the review. These devices are just adding to the unnecessary surveillance, faux victim and paranoia!
How many packages a day do you typically steal?
Are we making your package stealing job a bit more difficult?
Yeah I'm sure all the victims of murder and theft that have been solved using their neighbors video doorbell camera are all faking it. If you feel better doing nothing that's your call but why drag everyone else down?
the fact u can steal these so easily means they are both worthless
The Ring doorbell is much harder to remove and has free replacement if stolen.
thanks that what I was thinking ur just wasting ur money.. any thief would just rip off.. pretty sure even decent not good thiefs watch these videos

Buy a security mount for $15
I know it's like a set up. I put it out there... someone comes on the porch and swipes it I send the dogs out the door then the end.
Uh, you forgot to mention that Alexa can be used as a chime with Blink. It does the exact same thing.
