I was averaging 28 mpg, I went on two 3 hour trips and did some highways.. and got up to 32mpg.. but no where near 38-39 overall or 41 city... I noticed these things work best on long drives or like cabs.. but I do a lot of close short drives..

I have had my 2019 RAV4 Hybrid for 10 days now, I am TRYING HARD TO LIKE IT.
Just drove 50 miles on an Interstate, I have used half a tank of gas since I got the car and the AVG mileage is up to 35 MPG and CLIMBING, GREAT, BUT.
It was a sunny hot day, lot of sun. But with the instrument brightness at 100% it is VERY DIFFICULT TO READ THE INSTRUMENTS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER.
    YES DIFFICULT TO READ.
The information panel is almost IMPOSSIBLE to read without really concentrating, WHICH TAKES TOO LONG.
When I got home and drove into the garage I could read the panel PERFECTLY, BUT OUTSIDE IN BRIGHT SUNLIGHT YOU CANT READ IT.
The Steering Assist feature is VERY ANNOYING or should I say STRANGE.
Steering Assist actually steers the car between the white lines on the road, well it makes slight adjustments. Those adjustments are NOT SMOOTH, a little nudge left a little nudge right, it does this all the time and it seems as if you are CONSTANTLY FIGHTING IT.
I will probably turn this feature OFF BUT I HAVE PAID FOR IT.
One feature I do LIKE is the Cruise control that adjusts the speed maintaining a gap between you and the car ahead. I was following a car at about 70 MPH, the car slowed to take an off ramp, my RAV slowed also until the car ahead moved further away to the right and the RAV steadily accelerated back to 70 MPH, IMPRESSIVE.
THE SCOUT GPS LINK IS AN ABORTION.
    MORE REVIEWS TO COME.

After owning a RAV4 Hybrid Limited since May, there is no need for the extra maintenance and moving parts associated with a turbo or the compromised fuel efficiency of a V6. The 4 cylinder, coupled with the constant power from the proven Toyota CVT with the extra torque from the electric motors is all that you need. Toyota hit the sweet spot with the Hybrid. If you want a turbo, buy a CR-V, if you're willing to risk the gasoline in the crankcase issue.

Not sure how I missed seeing this video until now but great video and glad you really liked it. Back in August I got a new 2020 Rav4 XSE. I got the silver color with black roof and black rims. I really like this vehicle a lot. This is my first hybrid vehicle I have had. The 41mpg it says it can get really got my interest a lot besides how it looks with the two tone colors. Back in August when I got this our dealership had next to no inventory in stock cause everything was selling with all the good deals they were offering and was not sure I was going to be able to get anything I wanted then and they just happen to be getting one of these in and it just happened to be in the color I wanted. I was a little worried about the price being a bit higher and out of my price range and when it came in the sticker price was just over $36,200 which I could not believe. Back in May they had one just like this which stickered for $39,100 which I did not like seeing. I tried to figured out why this one was like $3,000 cheaper and I can think of a few things it does not have but nothing I really had to have or needed. I have heard this XSE model is really hard to get and this color I got is even harder to get. The Regular Rav4 I am not real crazy about and feel they are to plain looking and no real flashy look to them and then I saw this new model and new this is what I really wanted. So to be able to get this when it was the only one they were getting in and just happened to be the color I wanted and being really hard to get and having next to no inventory in stock was unbelievable. I am hearing that for Rav4 2022 models they are going to be making some changes to the body style which will be really interesting to see what they change.

Toyota: We have a RAV4 for you Raiti I think you’ll like it!

    Toyota Stonks Go up.
Either way I do love this new trim of RAV4. Not everyone is a big fan of the CVT that is true but the way Toyota has made it work? Beautiful really it’s a piece of art.

Mike Fisher I had the same “problem” I had a 2013 RDX WITH 48 k miles LOVELY CAR.
I have never owned a Toyota before, I’m a Honda guy.
So should I get a new RDX, it would cost $27k with trade in.
CRV is great, nice price but no Hybrid.
So it came down to the RAV 4, for around $18k.
After 10 days I am trying to LIKE the RAV.
THERE ARE 11 different variants with confusing options that make it almost impossible to understand WHAT YOU ARE GETTING.
Does Scout GPS Link sound like a GPS Navigation System, well it isn’t.
If I could prove that the salesman said IT WAS, HE DID, that dealership would get the car back.
Don’t get me wrong it is a great car in many ways, but the buying process was NOT A HAPPY ONE.
In some ways I wish I had spent the money and got a new RDX, GREAT CAR.
      OK I ALREADY SAID THAT.
      Best Wishes.

Also - the lack of a grab divot/handle behind the window switches is a huge zonk. That could assist in 1 or 2-handed opening/closing.

Do you still have to plug this thing in like a regular full electric car, like a Tesla?
If yes to the first question, I make a few long distance trips each year, 2-3 of those to Palmetto Bay being my longest at just over 1,100 miles one way. Would I be able to make this trip on just stopping for Petrol, or would I also have to find charging stations?
