Idk what’s with the centering or design, but the retail checklist is way better than last year
I just got back into basketball cards last week when I found a prizm mega box for $40 at a flea market in my town. Didn’t really pull anything, but it led me to buy a couple of draft picks mega boxes and pulled 2 base RC Wamby’s and a BM red prism fireworks. I’m still learning a lot since I haven’t bought any kind of trading cards in over 25 years. Really fun stuff so far!
I agree that the borders are a little much especially on the premier level but I love the mezzanine being more zoomed, the player being bigger and almost 3D from the border
I haven’t collected since the 90’s, your videos have helped me get back into it and share this experience with my kids! Wife now opens packs too! 😂 Great job!
Select is so fun to rip this year. Panini finally stepping up their game on basketball retail. Glad they are finally making retail a little bit better for those who can only rip retail boxes
the gold draft pick megaboxes are jam packed with rookies. mostly silver but some prism rookies as well about $60 at walmart i got 1 autograph out of 7 packs
im fairly impressed with the throwback draft cards i got larry bird michael jordan shaq and even jerry west draft throwbacks ! amazing
if youre wanting to hit a wembanyama rc, this is the product to do it.
I feel like hoops you might have a better shot but it’s for sure one of the top chances
again though, can also hit plenty of dud boosters, like this video LMAO. I saw someone hit 3 Wembys in 2 boxes!!!

I bought one blaster box at Walmart and pulled 2 Keyonte George base rookies (one was a prizm), a Wemby courtside, and a numbered Jaime Jaquez /175! I couldn’t believe it!
On the 2nd box you put a scoot base rc in the common pile I tried to holler but you couldn't hear me.
Got two of these yesterday from Walmart, both blasters had numbered cards and wembys, one base one insert I love the product

Select blasters are one of the better retail options imo. I pulled an Antman Youth Explosion auto out of a 2020 blaster. And numbered cards seem to come out a little more frequently than other retail blasters too. We just need to talk about that blue design, and that bar in the middle of the card/player is hideous. Luckily the Youth Explosion set is an insert set and silver!
Just opened my first WalMart blaster, hit a Curry 2/5 green checkers looking card. Mezzanine Prizm, pretty cool, no Wemby though.
I hate the design of these cards but I’m glad there seems to be a higher ceiling for retail this year
feel the same way. I have just never liked Select that much (but I'm still buying some 😂)
Not a fan of the big black bar across the middle of the base design, but a great looking set outside of that!
2 mega boxes from local Walmart. Pulled cracked ice victor, number 3/10 AD, elephant zion were highlights imo
I think the Mezzanine looks a lot better than the concourse. The players are larger on the card , compared with the concourse where the player is small and the borders are overbearing.
Mezzanin do look great! Are the Mezzanine supposed to be more rare than Courtside or are more common like Concourse?
@@VRaptor1592The mezzanine are exclusive to retail products, I still think courtside are more rare though in retail.
Don't love the design on Select this year but the retail product seems a little better, thank you for the video!

They should make Prizm retail blue as well, how else would you justify $1000 hobby vs $30 retail. It would also give more chases. Would also help the overprinting that has to be happening.
I totally see what you mean by the castle theming on the cards! The base cards totally look like a stone archway to me.

The Premier level design is hilarious, since they could never get them centered before, now they're intentionally OC. How will those be graded?

I pulled a Cason Wallace zebra card from a select hobby box first try and is worth 185 bucks right now I’m gonna get it graded hoping for psa 10
You definitely need to buy more and go Wemby hunting ha. I just bought one blaster today and it has to be one of the best if not the best blaster box I’ve ever bought. I pulled not one, but 2 Wemby’s (Blue Silver and Base). I also pulled a #ed Tatum, veteran inserts and a lot of nice rookies. 🔥🔥🔥
You are like the only one to not get a Wemby out of like 5 videos I watched. Saw 2 guys have hot boxes with gold card, an auto card and prizm rookie card in one pack.

I'd like to see a Hobby 23/24 Set fight off for a Wemby, best Wemby wins from 1 box of all sets released so far - ie Select / Prizm / Donruss / Hoops / Court Kings / Elite / Origins / Recon / Revolution / Crown Royale (if out in time)

i’ve never been a fan of select, but they’re making waves this year
I seen a breaker rip 10 blasters of this years select and he pulled some pretty big cards if I were to go with retail it’s revo & select that’s it
I’ve been seeing a lot of issues with a majority of cards. Sent some in that graded low that really looked clean. Especially the thicker cards. Those are very hard to get decent grades..
I ripped 3 boxes and got 1 base Wemby and 2 court sides so I did well but can’t wait to get hobby soon
These should be fun to rip at a cheaper price point. Looking forward to picking up a couple in the future

Last box won but definitely would like to see the Wemby chase. Even I was sweating 😓 not a fan of the design this year but the ceiling seem extremely high for retail so gotta love that
I think they're doing a little much with the base cards but I think there is potential with inserts and others in the box

I like these. I just wish you got more cards per box. Even if it’s just base.

I love select one of my favs!
This is the type of retail I like, lots of numbered hits possible. The downside is that now there is another million different numbered cards from Select. Not sure if it will be good or bad in the future for value/collecting, but it is more fun to rip.
I've opened 5 blasters and 5 megas and have yet to get a wemby lol it's killing me. I did pull an kawhi elephant prism tho. So how about a kawhi chase
