I have done author signing events and I found them to be a lot of work, but I had fun. Now I admit I did some local promoting, and the store/library also did promotion too. I sold books and at the library I also did a talk. The only add I have is that having a giveaway helps. I also promoted my website for a free lead magnet too. I would do it again and as for sales - each event was about 20 books sold.
@@KJ-zr2ko I was offering a bookmark with book name and my website on it. I did not do this next one but I was at a store having a signing going on, and I noticed that they had balloons for the kids. I thought this was very interesting as the kids came with their parents and the parents bought the books. Talk about a Lead Magnet (ha-ha). For my next signing, because I have written 3 books, I might offer a book giveaway of my ebook with a purchase of book. I'll give that some thought.
