    The modern person doesn’t know that a cover up isn’t really covering the name but more like camouflaging it. I think it looks great, awesome job! These tattoos look darker, brighter, and better when they’re healed.

      Camouflage means making difficoult to see what really is there. The old tattoo is plain visible now that it's fresh inked just wait for it to heal and you'll be able to read the name straight away

    These comments.... 😅 This is a BEAUTIFUL color coverup over black lettering. The client most likely understood that the tattoo wouldn’t disappear and people with enough tattoos understand that too. Beautiful work. ❤️ If you made it this far, stay safe and wear your masks!

      But you can actually do a good coverup where the old tattoo can't be seen anymore even when it heals. It's a decent tattoo but it's a bad coverup.

    how can you put the stencil on and see that it's not completely covering the old tattoo and you're ok with that??? like that would trigger me so badly to still be able to see that letter n 😣

    Shoulda used purples or dark blues instead of that green..Annem will still be there once it heals

      I thought the same. Needs a darker more saturated color like purple to go over the black. Hope they’re fine with getting touch ups for when it fades because it’ll probably have to be touched up

      It doesn't need to be heal I can see Annem right now... I just think about the pain....I have a little tattoo on this side of my arm and it hurted my ass off lol....

    Regardless of the old tattoo I think this new one is beautifully done. I love the precision on the flower petals that they’re all the same size and the line work is great. Love the style good job!

    I'm curious as to why the whole old tattoo wasn't covered. I can see some of the last letter poking through in the last flower by the leaf

    You can still see the old tatt peeking thru especially the part where the stencil didnt reach & thru the green. Its pretty but dont think its a successful "cover up".

    I’m crying because of that one little piece that just happened to get left out 😭😭 it’s a very beautiful tattoo otherwise, it just drives me crazy because I’m stupid and i let things like that bother me

    Nice job hitting the leaf darkest to lightest it blended perfectly and the white lifted the small spots i think alot of people get color because they are tired of the heavy black look and its refreshing GREAT WORK!

      This has nothing to do with negativity. The artist was paid to do a cover up, cover ups have rules to respect otherwise the old tatoo is gonna be plain visible in no time and the client will have to pay for a new cover up again because the first one was shit.

      Lula Lauryn i wasnt starting hard but that’s not that easy to believe since it actually is a pretty small hiccup but it literally just screams at me. It was one of the first things I noticed. Yeah most people wouldn’t see it, but things like that just stick out to me. I hope it was intentional because I feel like both the artist and the canvas had to have noticed it before they started tattooing.

      Rule #1. NEVER attempt to cover up a black tattoo w/ color smh 🤦🏼‍♀️ never works & is just common sense...BUT the music is perfect b/c I’d be repeating “I’m Nervous” too 😂

    Watching the needle popping or dragging in the skin during your outline hurt.. maybe turn up the voltage a bit. Dont forget to stretch

      I’m starting out too, I have a dragonhawk tattoo pen and I barely use it because I’m always busy and going to the gym. If you want to start out, get a tattoo pen because it’s easy to put together and use plus adjusting the needle isn’t that hard to do either, I highly recommend.

      If you want to become a tattoo artist, get an apprenticeship at a tattoo studio. It's a LOT more to it than "easy to put together" tattoo machines.

      The point of getting an apprenticeship is to learn it from the start.

      Because it's supposed to be a cover-up. It's not covering up anything. When it heals you'll be able to see the name that's supposed to be covered.

      Attenzione non sono esperto ero curioso anche io perché in mano loro le penne sembrano magiche, linee fantastiche, mi sono stupito anche io quando ho letto dragonhawk e non cheyenne (nella descrizione scrivono macchinetta, colori e spesso anche aghi o cartucce)
