@@AngelasBookcase I’m feeling much better, thank you ☺️ Two of my husband’s favorite books are Lessons from a sheep dog, & A shepherd looks at Psalm 23 by Philip Keller. I’m wondering if Wright’s story will be anything like Keller’s so I can pass it on to him with that recommendation 🥰
By Ash, Oak and Thorn is so very sweet. I recently added Kristin Lavransdatter on my wish list! So excited that you found Podkin One-Ear! This has added to my wish list!
@@spreadbookjoy Oooo! What have you added? Also, IS Wee Free Men part of DiscWorld? I’m so excited about KL. Reading Harrison’s duology is something I have wanted to do for Years, but finding affordable copies was nigh on impossible!
@@novelideea yes - The Wee Free Men is the first Tiffany Aching book which is kind of linked to the witches sequence but is its own sequence. It’s also one of the ones marketed for children but I never hear of children reading it! 😂 I added The Mennyms and An Unnecessary Woman which I also remember Shelly talking about and was intrigued!
Bless you, I hope you feel much better soon!! Adore the sound of both of those foodie books 😍 Hahahaa I love the direct appeal 😆 Can confirm, hoping to still do FF again this year, just need to do some organising 🤞 Wee Free Men is part of Discworld! It was his foray back into more young adult geared writing but has a lot of cameos from other Discworld witches 🧙 This was a lovely video to have on in the background while working!
Hooray! I'm so glad it's still in the plans! a bit better today. I had a fever and headache again last night, but both are gone this morning. still sound like I swallowed gravel though.
I hope you're feeling better! So many classics I haven't heard of, but I'm not surprised. As much as I've read, I know there's a lot out there I'm not familiar with. I was going to read The Mysteries of Udolpho for Jane Austen July last year and never got around to it. I need to see if my library has that one.
I'm feeling less muddled and achy today. Sinus stuff just hangs on forever it seems. I love the descriptiveness of Udolpho. It's a slow beginning with lots of pastoral detail and character building. I don't think it is the best book ever, but beautiful beginning and fun, page-turner ending! When you are wanting to read it, I may reread it with you, if you want.
You have the best books especially middle grade! This was a very clever idea that I may copy if I get sick and can't film at any point! I am so glad you got Cold Moons and I so hope you enjoy it! 🍵 Here I have made you a cup of soup. Hope it makes you feel better!🤗
@@WaterBearReads Thank you, Heather☺️ No headache today, but I still sound two octaves deeper than usual 😄 I am really looking forward to Cold Moons. Badgers 🦡 are some of my favorite creatures, so I love when I find them in literature ☺️ but I don’t think I would have picked it up if you hadn’t given it your stamp of approval 🤗
@@novelideea I hope you are feeling better this morning! Thank you for the compliment! I hope you like it, It has its faults, but when I was a kid, it really made an impression on me!
What a fantastic selection as always. You are really on top of things already having plans for so many! The D Case sounds fantastic, that whole situation is so interesting. I meant to read French Dirt this summer, but I feel like the season has slipped away. Nurk is lovely, a kind of simplified hobbit sewage journey story. Wee Free Men is indeed part of discworld, but not a ton of crossover with the main city setting/characters
My bookstore loves when I come in with books for credit because of my eclectic taste. So much sounds interesting, I can't focus on just one genre or subject! I agree about the season having slipped away for French Dirt. I could do a buddy read in Spring if you'd like!
I am the same with Wendell Berry, I love his poetry and some nonfiction. I also kind of like Hannah Coulter, but prefer his poetry.❤ Kristin Lavransdatter is so good! I am almost done with it.
@@capturedbyannamarie I haven’t heard any negative about Kristen L❣️ Can’t wait to begin ☺️ Yes! Solidarity😂🤭 If the language and unnecessary situations weren’t in WB’s fiction, I’d enjoy it… thankfully his NF and poetry doesn’t have any of that 🤗😂. (At least I haven’t run into it, yet!)
So many interesting books!

Loved hearing about these books! I hope you feel better. Sickness has also swept through our house 😢
I am praying that it is out of the way for the rest of the cold season! 😂 I am almost back to feeling well. Sinus gunk just hangs on tooooo looooong.
I hope you feel better soon!
