excellent video and installation .. i have this sail kit for my outfitter 2017 . i need to buy the side kick and the furler kit and when i saw your installation i think its very easy to setup my self . Thanks for your help.
Agreed. Hobie charge an awful lot of money for their Kayaks and other kit. The standard sailing rig is deeply flawed. Nearly everything is poorly positioned (including the annoying/flogging mainsheet right next to your head). The outriggers look amateur and very ugly and the whole rig is poorly thought out. See kayaksailor rigs for a properly designed, elegant rig that sails beautifully.

I like the mod that adds an eye to the existing cleats. This was very helpful as I have asked for the outriggers for Christmas. I plan to put together the kit for the rigging. The most expensive part is the quick release cleat I believe. It's about $40 in the US. I have the sail and the pvc furler. Thanks for a great video. Tak.
Incredible setup. Two questions for you. Which revolution is that, 11 or 13? I see that you scuba dive, do you think you could carry a scuba setup in the back tank well and dive off of the boat?
Great video! It helped me fit mine with sidekicks furler and sail, I hoped to ask if the mast is supposed to rotate ? Or is only the sail ment to rotate around the mast? Mine seems to fuel in great but very hard to give sail out again? Hoped you could help me work this out, thank you for the video

The mast has to rotate! The Furling systeem has to be mounted by the 4 bolts to the mast! Good luck!

man...why not a small dc motor spinning the mast with a ,,revearse palarity switch and the whole furler thing woyld be a push buton job.....
