Sam was an embarrassment to the Outfit from DAY 1! The only reason he lasted as long as he did was because he was a BIG earner. He was good at collections because he was a whack job human being!

Ricca wouldn’t let anybody touch him. Once he died and started that wild shit with media when the bosses were also going on trial, Joe Batters gave his crew the 👍 to take him out. Sam killed his younger brother Michael because he was a drug addict and a liability, but was fiercely protective of his family, and yet when the order came down, it was his older brother Mario and spilotro who came to do it. F’d uo world man. But yea this guy was off his fkn rocker lol. Straight evil incarnate

Sam was truly evil, wasnt all there mentally and brought too much heat on the family.Joe Batters(Accardo) took out Sam and became prob one of the greatest bosses of any family, never spent a day in prison. The OUTFIT was the real deal for many decades. They were ruthless , made TONS of money and ran Vegas

Actually they were called the 42 gang because of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. Basically saying they were 1 more degree badder the 41 that made up Ali Babas crew.

@@ross.stanger Exactly.. Also most all the families west of the Mississippi were subservient to Chicago.. It's crazy cuz most mob enthusiasts will tell you that the Gambino family was the largest most influential family in the country. Which is completely false. I guess that means they were good at what they did.. They did their best trying to stay low key and not attract attention or make headlines, ...despite having to whack truck loads of guys.. lol.

Great video, glad to have found this sub. Sam DeStefano was so throwed off is why the outfit never let him become a member. Even tho he made ton of cash from his money out on the street wasn't enough for the outfit to take that risk with Mad Sam.
