Nick Calabrese testified in court that Difronzo was the underboss of the Outfit in the 90s and that Johnny Apes Monteleone was the boss and that after Apes died Marcello took over with Mike Sarno and Alphonse Tornabene
Hey Gary, another idea to investigate is the connection between The Outfit and West Virginia and Tennessee. WV was connected to Chicago Heights - see the book - Chicago Heights: Little Joe College, the Outfit, and the Fall of Sam Giancana Paperback - July 12, 2018
by Charles Hager (Author), David T. Miller (Author) and Johnson City, TN was key to Capone's alcohol running.
This is an interesting story I can tell. I’ll get that book.
Real power of the outfit was always behind the scenes. I think Aiuppa only stepped up because all the front men kept going to prison. Aiuppa was already well known by LE, didn't have a family, and didn't care about maintaining a low profile anymore. Joey was calling the shots right up to the end.
I agree! We had a KC small-time associate that was in the joint with Aiuppa, and we heard he fell over himself trying to be his errand boy.
Good to see you guys at it again
thank you
Great stuff!
Thank you!
Good Show Gary
Thanks, Red; sorry I could not stay at your guy's show last night. Someone was waiting for me.
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetective I understand, it happens to me too
Great interview Gary ,and like your Royal navy sweater 👍 🇬🇧
Thank you and I never thought about the sweater being Royal Navy. I can tell you this, it is very warm in this cold ass winter here.
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetective the patches on the shoulders and elbows are a dead give away , used to have one when I was a kid, and your right, there warm as toast 🔥
It is a very dope sweater Gary, Your really bringing us great material. PAUL AND CAM ARE GREAT GUEST. More James Cosenza and the bobby Salerno trial as well.
@@thebigkahunatbk4349 I just gotta find time to get Mr. Cosenza back. So many Chicago stories and so little time.
Can't wait to get home and watch this
From Sam “Wings” Carlisi to John “No Nose” DiFronze.
Really enjoyed that thanks to all u guys
Great show Thanks you Guys
Glad you enjoyed it
You can read in the papers that big mike open the books for guys before he went to college, you guys have have no idea who or how many and how much is under the radar in Ep crew under chin and Cicero . You guys do have a lot of correct info, but unless you are in the life now everyday , you really don’t know , just thrown this out there I know you guys said video poker is legal now but who do you think owns most of those places with 6 video machines in it ? And online gambling ppl still want to not pay taxes or be online . Keep your channel going you guys are right there is no outfit anymore in Ep / Cicero , chicago , grand, Ogden , Bridgeport, China town etc they are all gone 👍keep pushing that mainstream
Thanks!
Thank you! Guys like you keep me coming back. I do it for the love of telling the history and when someone appreciates my work enough to give some money, I know that you appreciate me.
Well done fellas !
Great Show! Chris Morence from Indiana.
Thank you, north Indiana or rather south Chicago?
Torrio started the outfit. Sam was a fixer. Probably a government informant too. The old school guys, especially upstate Ny, had federal government deals
Year of the rat , sounds like a great pop song 🤣🤣
Seen my Year of the Stool Pigeon playlist? I need to change it to year of the rat. ruclips.net/p/PL_uilqjr6P9nE0eTo-7ceQExyay5I_eyF
Cicero was the proving ground for the Outfit.
My friend that is for sure. Great observation. The more I get into this, the more I see that about Cicero. I think that geographically it is straight south of the Patch is part of the reason.
Gary I have listened to everything Frank Cullotta had put on RUclips, but I don’t remember Frank mentioning Sam Carlisi one time. Was Carlisi that much behind the scenes? You’d think Cullotta would have known someone who was such a powerful force in the outfit.
I think Carlisi was not really in Frank’s circle. Culotta was a knock around guy on a low level in Chicago.
Hey Gary, have you read the recent book “Anthony accardo is joe batters?” It’s a very interesting read. The author takes some interesting liberties
I have not, I will see if I can find it. Thanks for the tip, if ya know what I mean.
I have it on audible....too many made up conversations for me
@@tdizzle7812same here. It’s interesting but ridiculous
My first trial was the bus Alex. Gus underestimated the Gs case and though no jury would ever believe a Monster like LP
Great show as always! Also, It would make my day if I could see mr white combs pic from 1962 of the builder and wings.. ..
I will pass that along.
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetective thanks Gary! Love your channel!!
You should try to hunt down whoever he paid for it
Would love to know about willow springs, Michael Corbett Chicago heights more
Seems like it’s been quite a while since Gary, Cam & Paul got together to do a podcast.
That is true. I’ll see what I can do about it.
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetectivehow about some 90s- 2000s outfit stuff?
Al didn’t start the outfit it goes back to 1880s or earlier the Camorra merged with lcn with Capone in 1928
Al Tornabene was still looking out for Sam Carlisi and his leadership while he was in prison in South Florida. Trust me I have firsthand knowledge.
The book should be interesting.
Great content! The guy Sarno had bombed is an Italian guy named Vincenzo Dublino.
Are There Any Books Coming In The Future About John Difronzo
Good question I’m not sure. Cam might.
People think Giancana always answers to Accardo. Not true at all. Giancana was the man in Chicago, Ricca could have possibly vetoed him but I’m not even sure about that. So much BS info out there
I disagree! If he had so much power why did he get relegated to Mexico by Accardo/Ricca? Ricca and Accardo were around since and peers with Capone. Gianacana wasn’t! He had to follow orders from the ones who gave him what power he had.
no nose was carlisi underboss
no taxes
no marcello was nonose underboss
Was Dom sense blown up on taylor st? I remember a car bombing on Taylor years ago
hate to tell u this but ferriola was the boss for a minute plus aiuppa gave his gambling rackets to no nose
I believe you are correct. I now remember that Ferriola was the man for a short time. Thanks
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetective keep it up gary love your show my friend
Ferriola was the most powerful person in the Chicago outfit during the 1980s. He had the largest crew, one of the largest LCN crews in the US at the time
Lenny Patrick was nasty and helped put away Gus Alex and Wings
WRONG !!!!
messino died broke
He died with money. A home in river grove and a home in new Buffalo Michigan. Had a 2000 Lexus ls 400 when he died in 02. As for cash I’m not sure.
