This was so so helpful. I've never done any retouching but I just did a whole image from start to finish! So easy to follow and looks so professional. Thank you so much!
Irene, one thing I do is lighten the skin over the joints of the hands and feet, if needed. The skin there is usually darker looking (as in this photo of yours) and there's more wrinkles in the skin. So lightening and/or lowering the contrast can improve the look of the area. In colder weather the skin can also be redder at the joints so I'll color correct that to match the surrounding skin.
Up until now retouching sounded so difficult to me, even scary. You explain it so good and make it sound like a walk in the park! Thank you very very much!!!
You're really good Irene. Your models and photography are great, but your photoshop techniques are fabulous. I've only seen a few of your videos on retouching and already feel ready to roll myself. You are a great teacher. Just one small request. Is there any way we could get the final photos placed side by side for comparison? It just makes it easier to truly appreciate the work you've put into the photos and see every detail fully. After all like you say, the details matter. :) Thank you again, love your work.
Very interesting workflow Irene, particularly the part about dodging and burning, it's been something I have been putting off looking into for a while now!
I'ts always interesting to learn diferent ways to edit. In my case i learn diferent ways because every shot asn't the same 😀 . Nice tutorial .. i discover you recently and you have beautiful works 😀
I'm going to try to retouch the way you showed with the patch tool and then lowering the opacity of the top layer. I've never tried that or even seen it before, especially the way you lowered the opacity of the retouch layer. Thanks Irene, you took this image from good to stunning.
You retouch so simple and so perfect! I don't know why I'm not do like this early. I use healing brush and sometimes patchtool, but it's not easy, cause after skin my model lost texure and looks unnatural. You are genies! Thank's for this video! :))))) P.S. sorry for my english, I'm russian and I'm trying to learn this language)))
I don’t like path tool, some times it leave an hard and sharp selection or the colour doesn’t match. I like the healing tool! Nice video, very well explained and you voice is beautiful

wow! I love you, Irene! The best! Thanks so much for this!
Every single tutorial I watch from you is better than the last, how do you do it, Gosh, the goddess of photography I might say. I learned a lot here but if I could ask for something else, It would be to have the raw file to make the editing with you, you know, it would be amazing to follow along the explaining with the picture itself. You could include that for patreons or something like that. Well just a thought I love you, thanks a lot!!!!
thank you for explaining to us in simple and easy way you are genius :). I have been trying to learn Photoshop seeing different videos and could only understand it after watching this video. thanks again. can you please also make a video on how to start editing models i mean the workflow when you load u p image in photoshop
I'm such a major fan of your work. Your models are always so gorgeous and regal. Do you have any male clients you work with? Sorry for that question of you have, I'm still binge watch in your videos, lol😆 So inspiring, than for sharing!💋❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
At 15:20 I noticed you have the opacity and flow at 100%, is that because you have special settings for your Pen?? Is it set for pen pressure? What settings do you use for pen pressure so you can do this? Thank you so much in advance and thank you for all your vídeos!
Nice tutorial! I like frequency separation more, I think it looks more natural, especially when you have a complete sharp face and pores. With this "blurry" image I couldn't really see a lot of texture so the patch tool did it's best, but for professional portfolios I won't go and duplicate all the structures in the face and put it all over again and again. Also I was almost screaming when you merged your layers together.. ! Maybe you should've said for the beginners to don't do that so they can always change everything all over again and delete shitty layers, you know what you're doing so it's not a bad thing for you (still I'd never do that).

Hands down a great tutorial. Loved that you talked through step by step details, and there wasn't music just played in the background.
