    I know it's an old video, but I just bought a few airbrushes at a local auction, this was... 3 of them. This helped me a ton, Thanks. Oh, and great Video

    Ya done good! (thumbs up) I don't know what the white paint was, but my go-to cleaner for dried acrylic paint is denatured alcohol. It will clean a color cup in an instant!

    You should go from the beginning to straight acetone. I clean my 200 with acetone cos I use enamels and lacquers and because badger have teflon seal you can use it. It would save you all this time and effort you spend

      Any particular brand of acetone?

    • @jimareas
      @jimareas 3 года назад

      Not any specific as long as it is 100% pure acetone. I buy mine from ebay sellers 5L Jerry Container.

    Really informative and entertaining to watch! Also you have an absolute superb mic, finally good sound and a well put together video, something different than listening to bad sound and watching bad edited videos on subjects like these... Keep it up!

      I honestly did not expect you to rescue it and really happy it turned out well.
      Personally I'd have jumped straight to airbrush cleaner from Vallejo and Tamiya, but I don't treat my brush that well lol.

      @@hikkigamer8082 Definitely! Sometimes I worry these risky ebay finds won't pan out,
      but this time we got away with it. lol
      I wish the local hobby store carried those airbrush cleaners but sadly they only stock the thinners.

    When I make airbrush cleaner I make 2 strengths it comes in handy for this stuff. I use la best cleaner and 50% isopropyl 50/50 then in another one do the same except I add a couple splashes of acetone. If you have something that's just clogged up like this it'll eat the paint easy with just a little elbow grease. I wouldn't use it to much unless you have a name brand airbrush that says it able to use solvent based paint. If it doesn't say that or there's little o rings where your using it I'd at least remove the o ring or it may get eaten up by the cleaner over time. But if your using a bottom feed it will clean it super fast no matter what your using paint wise without any real effort just run it threw and wipe out where the bottle goes check the needle for paint see if you need more cleaning and either run a little more through or flush with water and it's clean.

    I just found one of these that my grandmother gifted me somewhere around 30 years ago. It’s brand new and no paint has ever passed through it. I want to use it now but I can’t seem find the adapter I’m seeing you use for the braided air line.

    • @gunplaf
      @gunplaf  3 года назад +1

      These are great airbrushes!
      Badger sells an adapter that lets you use an Iwata style 1/8" hose on their aibrushes. The part number is "Badger 36-010".
      I would stay away from the generic chinese made ones as the threads in these don't seem to be consistent and could strip the small delicate threads of the badger air valve (ask me how I know 😔)
      Good luck!

    I hate to say it you spent more money or wasted your money all together . The common problem with Bagger 200 was the trigger . Next time invest your money Bagger 150 double action airbrush . Taiwan came up Meow Smith HM-230 by Hobby MiO it performs like Harder-Steenbeck .02 at $ 20.00+

    Badger & Passche paint cups have different spout angles. Caution: lacquer thinner will dissolve the glue that holds the cotton ball on Q tips. Have a thin pair of tweezers standing by. Also a drop of airbrush oil on the trigger stem with a toothpick
    Where did you get the airbrush stand?.

      I purchased the Airbrush stand from spraygunner. However, I believe these are discontinued by Harder and Steenbeck.

    What brand of ultrasonic cleaner are you using? Do you like it? Any issues with it?

    • @gunplaf
      @gunplaf  5 лет назад

      I think the brand was called *Trans Potent*.
      It's of those budget cleaners that are sold on ebay or amazon for under $50.
      They are sold under different brand names but are all pretty much the same.
      I've owned mine for about 6 months and so far I like how well it cleans airbrushes.
      No issues so far, though, I only use it like twice a month after several painting sessions.
