I've actually done some math on this one. There's going to be 8 rifts. When/if they make every difficulty available on every rift, beating every rift on both Easy and Experienced would put you on 16, leaving you with 4 left to get Agent Smith. I found the summer rift's Crushing the easiest, so I'd recommend going for that first. Megalodog and Joker were insanely difficult, Jason and Stripe were easier, but still pretty damn hard. By the time I got to Dexter, I've already been desensitized to the difficulty, so I don't truly know how hard it is, but I would still prioritize it.
In short, the order I would tackle the Crushing difficulty at is: Summer, Dexter, Stripe, Jason, Joker, Megalodog. And in theory you only would have to do 4 of these.
Of course, this is my strategy and it depends on a lot of unknown information. Hope it helped, and good luck.
