  • Like it or not, electric is coming. Some could argue the infrastructure needs some more work, and I agree with that. However, Earth Cruiser is staying ahead of that by having this ready to go sooner than later. Check it out!

    52 year-old here. It's definitely rad, but my back hurts every time I think about going in it.

    so where do you plug it in if your "overlanding"???

    • @JarrodTocci
      @JarrodTocci  7 месяцев назад +4

      What are you plugging in? The range on one of these is over 300 miles. You can charge up before going camping and have plenty to get out and back

      How much are you people driving in one day? Your telling me you can use up over 300 miles of driving in a singular day just overlanding and driving to the site and back?

      Haha thanks, I think. I’ve been told this before and in fairness me and Seth McFarlane are from the same area so also makes sense

    Interesting build for a pickup with a full 2nd row cab and it being a short bed

    Jarrod, hope you're getting ideas for your own, upcoming, truck camper build! I know it's not your priority, just sayin' at some point along the way...
    I was thinking about, maybe using a topper-lift system or a hard-sided telescoping top with a cab-over on that monster Ford Super-Duty of yours.... you don't really need to be quite as lite as the Hummer there...
    Cheers!..from North Vancouver

    Shame the 2nd row of seats couldn't be removed. Would be great to put a crapper in there.

      I think they said they could add one if needed. But when dealing with an overlanding rig it sometimes requires sacrifice

    My question is that can you camp in it in snow and summers? Even if you have to do some customization add something

    • @JarrodTocci
      @JarrodTocci  5 месяцев назад

      Has a heater and no a/c if that’s what you’re asking. There are plenty of other ways to keep warm in winter and cool down in summers

      @@JarrodTocci i guess, purchasing an Air conditioner and plugging it in

    It’s pretty, but it’s a shame to not tap into the massive Hummer battery for the house part. I’d love to see an EcoFlow wave incorporated for heat and air. Good to see you doing your thing Tocc!

    • @votehuss4833
      @votehuss4833 7 месяцев назад

      It can't, because truth be told the Eevee is not powerful enough or sustainable battery life wise to do that. That's why we have gas generators.

    • @bigtom4709
      @bigtom4709 7 месяцев назад

      With >240 kWh for the truck, imagine if 10% of that could be “house” accessible.

    Besides lack of space, how does it do in 90f and 10f?

    • @JarrodTocci
      @JarrodTocci  7 месяцев назад

      Any battery will drop in cold weather. Most lithium batteries would rather heat over cold, obviously within limits. So 90 isn’t that hot for them. Regarding the cold, the batteries have self heating built in and are all automatically turned on with the BMS system. Thats what we, the consumer is paying for. Anyone can make a lithium battery but having a good BMS is key
