- Isparta is a city that can get overlooked as a place of interest, but ISPARTA in the WINTER also has so much to offer!
Davraz ski resort is on the doorstep and as weather conditions were good for skiing we decided to take off in our hire car and stay in the city!
Isparta is famous for its roses, and is only a three and half hours drive by car from Fethiye.
With lots of city hotels open all year round to suit all budgets, we stayed at the Barida Hotel which had good facilities.
In this film we show you what you can expect to find when you visit Isparta, including the near by hamlet village of Kuyucak, a hidden gem of lavender fields! How the skiing was at Davraz, Eğiridir lake and the breath taking site of Sagalassos in the Burdur province.
All our just a short drive from Isparta and definitely worth a visit if your in the area.

Biz hep iş-okul-ev stresinde gidip geldiğimiz için yaşadığımız şehirlere hiç turistik gözle bakamıyoruz, bende de vardı bu durum ama pandemiden sonra artık tersine çevirmeye çalışıyorum. İstanbul’a yakın yaşıyorum mesela, ayda bir gidip turistlerin gezdiği gibi turistik yerleri geziyorum. İnsanlar Dünya’nın öbür ucundan geliyor, biz kıymetini bilip yanımızdaki yerleri daha çok gezmeliyiz. Her şehirde keşfedilecek çok müze, cami, pazar yeri, yerel tatlar var. Yabancıların videoları bunun için çok yardımcı oluyor. Bu videoyu izledikten sonra benim de Isparta’ya gidesim geldi. Güllü kremlere de ihtiyacım var. 🤣

I can't wait to live in Turkey. So much history and the people are just so genuine and their hospitality is on some other level. I traveled to 68 countries and my heart stayed in Turkey. Beautiful!

Great video. Wow Mick and Trudie!! Thanks for this! I really admire how that you always show glimpses of talking in Turkish to the local people. It’s something different and unusual to see that when filming in other people’s countries. Almost every youtuber shies away from that (for their own reasons I understand). But I think that it’s interesting and also shows how genuine and humble your videos are; how you have a connection with the people and the simplicity of it. I like that aspect. Keep it up!
Another great vlog. The ancient sites of Turkey are breathtaking, so much history that is unknown. Thanks for bringing it to us.
Great to see Davraz, we have passed it a few times on our way to and from Isparta and wondered what it was like to ski there. Egirdir is lovely, we have stayed there on that beautiful lake a couple of times and we also took the dolmus from Isparta to Agalasun to visit Sagalassos in 2015, what an incredible ancient site and no one there but us! It's rare that we get somewhere before you Mick. We also took a dolmus to Aksu to see the Zindan MagarasI (cave). The view over Lake Egirdir from Sivri Dag is fabulous. Thanks for posting.

As a Holland/The Netherlands born fellar who still lives in The Netherlands, with Turkish parents, I have to admit that you guys do an awesome job at showing us what Turkey is all about. I normally only went to Ankara and Kirsehir for Family visits, but from now on I will actually do exploring starting with Istanbul. Thanks for making these videos and keeping us occupied in these boring times with curfew. Stay safe and keep the videos coming. All love (F).

Toplamda sadece 4 5 yıl yaşadığım memleketime 30 yıldır özlem duyuyorum. Oysa o kadar çok geliyordum ki, ancak aile büyükleri vefat edince ve hayat meşgalesi çoğalınca gelemiyor insan. Ancak orada geçirdiğim her bir günü özlüyorum. Isparta da değil 17 dakika 17 saat bile paylaşım yapılabilir. Nereden baktığınız ve içerisinde iken göremediklerinizden kendinizi sorumlu tutun derim. Trenden indiğimde istasyondan doğumevine kadar yürürdüm ben elma kokusu duyumsardım, soğuğunda üşürdüm ve valilik binasını gördüğümde ise kalbim çarpardı tatlı tatlı.... Velhasıl kelam anlamak istemeyen yine anlamaz bu ülkenin bu memleketin değerini ancak inşallah zerkolur kalbinize bu gerçek. Isparta yı özleyen insanlar da var çemkirenlere paylaşmak istedim!!!!
