Just shy of a year since the release of their debut album, Mirrors, PUPIL SLICER return with a brand new single titled Thermal Runaway. Timed to coincide with their first live shows since 2019, Thermal Runaway retains the hallmarks of Mirrors’ grinding mathcore, but gives a clear indicator of the direction that PUPIL SLICER are moving towards. The single features guest vocals courtesy of The Armed’s Cara Drolshagen, and features B-side remixes of Wounds Upon My Skin by both Nadja and Marble Girl.

Pupil Slicer keep getting better and better with every song. Katie has Amazing energy, Bass is otherworldly, and Drummer keeps Smacking me in my Face. Outstanding Band
One of the band's best songs to this day. Almost sad it's not appearing on a studio album - then again, it is strong enough to stand on its own. Love the influences that go into this one, sounds different from their other stuff. Cara's vocals rule mightily too.

This is such a good song but I just can't get past the Cara parts. I've tried and tried to get into it thinking I'll eventually warm up to like it but I just can't, man. I think this song would be better without them, no offense to Cara at all. This was still a kickass song nonetheless. 🤘
