This movie was everything I've been asking for in a Transformers movie for years. I have no major criticisms despite normally being very critical. I'm going to put out another longer video explaining with full spoilers why exactly I found the writing amazing!
I just saw it And I absolutely love it I may be a Jurassic franchise person But I'm also a huge transformers fan And as a huge transformers fan I can safely say that this is the best adaptation of a transformers movie And as a transformers origin story It's deep It's emotional It's funny It's dark It takes inspirations from several different universes and add its own unique spins to it I really want to go see this movie with my girlfriend because we're both big transformers fans and we want to help support this movie
I didn’t go to see because I miss the day of the first day it released and when I found out I didn’t go see after that because I want to be in a theater with more people like me
Am I the only one who is disappointed?😶🌫️ Everything was great except Megatron's character in my opinion. In the comics, HE was promoting fighting the regime though literature, HE was the one to raise the miners to revolution, that's why HE had the upper hand and why the Autobots were forced to retreat into space. Megatron's support group was supposed to be MASSIVE. In this movie he seems to me like an angry little boy who is mad because he found out Santa Claus is not real.... Megatron lacks the depth necessary to move the movie franchise forward. I doubt this movie will have a successful series.
Also the fact that this movie wasn’t scared to show a bitter-sweet ending to their friendship, which I love those happy ever after endings in typical kids movies 😭✨
@@jimdigitalvideoWell technically, at least in this movie, Sentinel Prime isn’t even a Prime. He was an assistant to the Primes and after betraying them, he just took the title.
@@blueraccoon1088 Yeah, but I actually agree with the commenter. Orion's and D-16's reltionship is reminiscent of the relationship Moses and Ramses had. The whole time all the way up until I had actually bought my ticket, I thought it was a PG-13 movie, but apparently, it was released as PG. Gotta say, seeing that younger rating did concern me, but after watching the film, I think it would fit better somewhere between PG-13, and R. There were A LOT of casual deaths in it, most of them in a horrific way when you think about how they must have felt while it happened. But, I digress, because as a person whom can NOT handle gore/gruesome depictions of death, my opinion is somewhat biased. Still, I have to agree with everyone else- This IS the best TF movie we've gotten thus far. @@flarezona9889 Fair enough. While I personally don't agree with that assessment, I can at least understand the logic behind it; most humans don't consider TFs as being "people" in their own way too, so from a marketing standpoint, PG could make sense.

I literally cannot get enough of this movie. I want to watch it again and again. I have pre-ordered the steel book edition, the MDLX Figure of Orion/Optimus, and am eye-balling some of the merch to obtain at a later time. I have seen it 3 times now [and I so desperately want to see it again]. I haven't been so deeply in love with Transformers in so long. Life has been in overdrive the last 2 years of my life, and for this to come crashing into it while I am going through an emotional rut is just... MMM it couldn't be more perfectly timed. I am currently going to school for Animation/Story Boarding and THIS is the type of stuff I would love to be involved with in the future! I want to see more ppl talk about this movie. Praise it. Cherish it. It is such a beautiful gem. GOD it has been so long since a movie made me cry!
Yeah, marketing is about taking every moment that pops out and putting them together until you convince someone to buy the product. Doesn’t matter that without context they end up making a difference context.
I really hope everyone sees it so Hasbro can see that animated Transformers movies are what we should have been getting instead of those awful live action ones (except for the Bumblebee movie that was good) hey, imagine if they turned the Transformers Prime novels into animated movies! the writing is amazing and it has some funny parts in it, I'd love to see a movie like that. Also when will you be reading Exiles and retribution on the channel?
It felt very reminiscent of the early to mid 2000s disney/dreamworks golden era of animated movies when they didn’t talk down and actually cared about the audience, when directors still had the balls to put some pretty gruesome conflict/violence and philosophical thinking into a kids movie knowing full well that children could truly handle more then they’re given credit for. Another thing I really wanna praise them for is they actually had a villain that was purely evil to just be evil. Not the carbon copy villain trope that is majorly overused nowadays of “tortured bad guy meant to make you feel empathetic”, no he just wants power and recognition, all while being a very entertaining and sarcastic character to watch. All in all, I think they did a fantastic job with the first fully animated tf movie since 86. It was wonderfully unique while still paying homage to previous content. The voice acting was top notch, fun and energetic while also invoking heart wrenching emotions. The animation was stunning and felt truly alive, giving cybertron the ultimate amount of justice and respect after all these years. It’s very obvious all the people that worked on this beautiful movie cared and deeply respected the transformers franchise along with its many diverse continuities.❤ I really hope it earns enough at the box office and we’re able to get more from this fresh new universe.
I heard so much good about the movie that I decided to go to my local first showing and I loved it despite some criticisms I had for the writing. It's been a while since I last laughed so much watching a movie. I'd say my favorite things were Orion and D-16's relationship and how deep the movie went into the worldbuilding of Cybertron,, like showing its terrain and society. We don't get enough of that kind of worldbuilding in the audiovisual TF media in my opinion.
Got to see this movie on Tuesday! It was pretty dang good. Just wish a certain joke for the kids hadn't been repeated 5+ times (2-3 would have been good), and the pacing was just a bit too fast in one bit. I'm with others in that the movie could have benefited with at least 19 more minutes for that one bit I won't spoil. Also I love how irredeemable a certain character is. That's one of the ways you can tell this isn't a kid's movie. What that one character did....HOLY COW.
Man if I had a nickel for every time a movies first half was more lighthearted about 2 best friends going on an adventure, only for the 2nd half to become about the rise of evil and one of the friends becoming a dictator, I’d have 2 nickels which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.
I LOVE how even the cameo characters (especially the big 3 'cons) display SO MUCH character in such little screentime - ESPECIALLY STARSCREAM EVEN THOUGH HE BASICALLY DID NOTHING LOL
I actually went to see it last night and it was definitely worth worth the price of admission. And I also was able to watch it mostly by myself and enjoy it in the best seat in the house. It actually reminded me of the Aligned, Animated and G1 continuities, which were my favorites. So this movie gets my stamp of approval.
Saw it opening weekend with very low expectations and it blew my mind how good it was. Beyond that how much inspiration it took from actual prior lore and other media adaptions. Especially Prime and cybertron games. For once it didn't feel like the movie was embarrassed of the franchise it was adapting.
This movie was SO GOOD. I went in with very low expectations but way more hope than my sister went in with, and we both came out impressed! I cant wait to see yur spoiler review of it
The movie was great. I bit heavy on the Bumblebee comedy, but it mostly landed. I wish Starscream was shown as tougher. So many great characters shown but not used, or minimal used. If they do have a sequal, this was a great setup for that. Like Dune Part 1, left me wanting more, and Dune Part 2 nailed it, I think a TF: One sequal would do the same. 👍
So I just re-watched both this movie, all of the bayverse, bumblebee, ROTB and 86 and I gotta say… I liked this movie even slightly more than 86, no joke. It somehow managed to weave everything together without invalidating anything that had come before it. They really did an amazing job
William Shatner/Chris Pine as James T. Kirk Tim Allen/Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear Charles Martinet/Chris Pratt as Mario and Peter Cullen/Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime They are four Chris: Pine, Evans, Pratt and Hemsworth
You know when I first heard there story (manly transformers prime's back story from the lore books) before transformers one,I thought that they messed up when they said several time that Optimus and Megatron or Megatronus were like brothers but in the lore books it look more like hey were Acquaintances and barely even friends, but from what I've seen of the trailer I'm liking there sibling dynamic so far
I went and watch with my sister, who knows little to no knowledge of transformers, and she love it. The plot and story line was easy to understand and we laughed though the whole movie. The only beef my sister and I have with the story is how D16 became Megatron. My sister pointed out how D16 was kinda a big baby going/becoming Megatron. Since the movie span in like 2-3 days, I can kinda see what she means. While I did fill her on the basic tf lore and characters, she felt confused and questioned on how fast he was willing to change. Overall, Im happy to see this movie and hope that there will be a sequal and my sister want to see the sequel if there is one too.
Ya I came into the movie thinking it would be a decent funny kids movie, but it was a lot more darker and brutal than I thought it would be and that surprise made the experience better for me. I was surprised they showed D-16 ripping sentinel in half and Optimus crushing an enemy to death by grabbing him while transforming. As bad as the trailer was, it kinda helped lowering my expectations and make the movie seem like something else
Because the movie has a good plot twist that they cannot spoiled in the trailer. So thats why they using the first half so the second half of the movie still keep secret.
I just have to say, after the introduction of the elite command and the fight that happened, I went to get more popcorn and I saw a father and son leave because the 5 year old got scared. I never would have thought a child would get scared of this movie. But after watching I could definitely see why a young child would be scared. Hell, B cuts up bots and if that kid saw sentinel prime get ripped in half, he would have been terrified. When I saw jazz in transformers (bay film) get ripped apart, I was so sad. Makes sense that kid was like “nope, I’m out”
It was so hard to find a theatre playing the original language in my country, I'm happy i did tho it was great. my non tf friends loved it too, one of them even took her brother with her to see it again
I love this movie. It's almost everything I wanted from a transformers origin story. Please PLEASE go see it everyone, this movie needs all the support it can get!
I did get jarred into hearing Thor in Mr. Hemsworth's voice a few times, but ... I am not entirely sure that wasn't inevitable. I mean, he was trying to do a deep, "I am imposing!" voice which had the gravitas of his Thor delivery anyway. I'm not faulting his performance. Just that it DID occur to me while I was watching the movie.
I really hope this movie's slow start will just be that, a slow start-once it finally gets a full release globally, hopefully revenue will pick up enough to have a sequel produced. Genuinely its amazing to have a fully animated movie dedicated to just the mechs and their origins, something we have seen for so long in fandom but not so much in onscreen films. The TV shows are great, but its fantastic to have that encapsulated in a film too. Also, genuinely cannot comprehend any criticisms of this movie as "hideous" (from a Guardian review of TF one)-did we watch the same thing???
I am OBSESSED with this movie. This is without a shred of doubt, not just the best Transformers movie, but THE BEST movie to come out in 2024! You feel the dedication and love the people behind this project bleed out of the big screen. It doesn't feel like a cash-grab. Whatever they earn, they deserve it and more!
Honestly, I get that they dont want spoilers, but GOD it took me MONTHS to convince my boyfriend to at least see it(i wanted to see it cause idk the origin and I have no time in my life to read the books anymore but my bf knows them by heart).
Brian Tyree Henry's performance was top notch. He's officially my second fav Megatron voice behind Frank Welker.
It’s very obvious all the people that worked on this beautiful movie cared and deeply respected the transformers franchise along with its many diverse continuities.❤
I really hope it earns enough at the box office and we’re able to get more from this fresh new universe.
I still laugh when orion did watch this, and booked it
I heard so much good about the movie that I decided to go to my local first showing and I loved it despite some criticisms I had for the writing.
I went to the theater to see it tonight
It was sooo good. Im going to see it again as soon as I get a chance
I just saw the movie today with my mom, it was awesome!! I’m definitely getting this movie on blueray when it releases
I’m glad we finally got to see a young Megs since we always see Prime in his younger years
I actually went to see it last night and it was definitely worth worth the price of admission. And I also was able to watch it mostly by myself and enjoy it in the best seat in the house. It actually reminded me of the Aligned, Animated and G1 continuities, which were my favorites. So this movie gets my stamp of approval.
One thing I really loved was that they pulled a clip from the head of Airachnid, a mnemosurgeon!
Saw it opening weekend with very low expectations and it blew my mind how good it was. Beyond that how much inspiration it took from actual prior lore and other media adaptions. Especially Prime and cybertron games. For once it didn't feel like the movie was embarrassed of the franchise it was adapting.
Finally got around to watching the movie yesterday. I loved it.
G1 snob here to admit this movie is peak.
Its what youve been waiting for.
This movie was SO GOOD. I went in with very low expectations but way more hope than my sister went in with, and we both came out impressed! I cant wait to see yur spoiler review of it
I wish the movie ended with Optimus and Megatron still working together but with a rift between them.
D-16 crushing Starscreams voicebox ☠️☠️☠️ that gave me chills.
I love that everyone is trying their best to get the word out. I can only hope there's a noteworthy 2nd weekend improvement in ticket sales.
Kirk
Tim Allen/Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear
Charles Martinet/Chris Pratt as Mario
and Peter Cullen/Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime
They are four Chris: Pine, Evans, Pratt and Hemsworth
You know when I first heard there story (manly transformers prime's back story from the lore books) before transformers one,I thought that they messed up when they said several time that Optimus and Megatron or Megatronus were like brothers but in the lore books it look more like hey were Acquaintances and barely even friends, but from what I've seen of the trailer I'm liking there sibling dynamic so far
I saw the movie yesterday with a friend, and we both loved it
i want to see it but i just don't have the money yet, i'll edit this when/if i see it in cinemas
So it's basically the Transformers Prime formula or Beast Wars formula
I hate how the trailers make this movie look goofy and stupid.
Being for kids is not a bad thing.
@@warknightxl2167 I never said anything about it being for kids. Associating the words "goofy and stupid" to "being for kids" was entirely you.
Brian Tyree Henry absolutelly killed this role, my top 3 VA for Megatron
I was like when the trailers came out. Regardless of people’s views, I just know I will have a good time with the movie. Which I had 😂👍
I’d say this was an outstanding piece, solid 8/10 movie
Funny I was just telling my partner that "Emperor is totally going to post about it"
And here it is! Yay!
1:32 AIRACHNID I LOVE YOU BABE
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
Pls forget abt him pls
You dont need him
The Movie is Amazing
I’m seeing it again tomorrow. Wonderful film.
Agree this is hands down the best Transformers movie
I laughed A LOT
I cried
My heart was ripped in half
It was an absolute experience
This movie truly is more than meets the eye
Now THIS is Transformers!
Sentinel was jazzed lol
I love this movie. It's almost everything I wanted from a transformers origin story. Please PLEASE go see it everyone, this movie needs all the support it can get!
I did get jarred into hearing Thor in Mr. Hemsworth's voice a few times, but ... I am not entirely sure that wasn't inevitable. I mean, he was trying to do a deep, "I am imposing!" voice which had the gravitas of his Thor delivery anyway. I'm not faulting his performance. Just that it DID occur to me while I was watching the movie.
I watched Transformers one the day after it was realeased. Now I am excited to watch Emperor Kumquat's spoiler review :D
This movie needs a sequel for focused other robots with canon events
I really hope this movie's slow start will just be that, a slow start-once it finally gets a full release globally, hopefully revenue will pick up enough to have a sequel produced. Genuinely its amazing to have a fully animated movie dedicated to just the mechs and their origins, something we have seen for so long in fandom but not so much in onscreen films. The TV shows are great, but its fantastic to have that encapsulated in a film too. Also, genuinely cannot comprehend any criticisms of this movie as "hideous" (from a Guardian review of TF one)-did we watch the same thing???
I agree with you so much! Those trailers really failed the movie promotion.
It’s funny how this movie and the ‘answering questions’ yap abt megatons red eyes
In th end we both loved it and he’s been looking for a way to watch it again
