I still can't believe Tekken 8's base roster is the same size as Tekken 5's roster (with 32 characters. The only difference is Tekken 5 shows 30 since you know, Panda and Eddy were palette swap characters of Kuma and Christie)
I don’t hate the franshcie but I don’t like what Namco is doing. Tekken 8 is basically a reskin of Tekken 7 which fans say the graphics for 7 is better which is not. totally a ripoff and Namco should’ve make Tekken X Street Fighter since I’m still waiting for that. There’s nothing new about this game and I prefer Street Fighter 6 since that game have new features and capcom using their own game engine.

This video is missing the actual vanilla Tekken 7, it released in arcades with only 20 characters and it doesn't even have playable Jin, Jin was only a non playable boss. Tekken 8 is actually the largest roster on vanilla release of any Tekken, not even counting DLCs and updated versions. Tekken 8 is the first time a mainline Tekken is released straight to consoles instead of staying in arcades for like a year before getting updates for console release, for this, Tekken 8 is also the most feature rich and biggest Tekken on release.
Trivia: Paul, Yoshi, King, and Nina are the playable characters that have never been absent in the canon games; meanwhile the only sub-boss is Kuma. I also realize that Paul & Kuma are the only rivals that stayed present as well
Man, 30 years of TEKKEN fighting games from the Bandai Namco video game franchise is really something than I remembered, and I think Marshall Law A.K.A. Bruce Lee is my favorite character from the TEKKEN series!
It was Marshall until 3 when it was his son, Forrest, then they went back on it. They should’ve had both since Marshall now looks completely different. We can afford a more buff Brucelee and an older 70s shaggier Brucelee in the same game if the Mishimas exist without complaints 😂

And since Jun has returned, Ogre could too *We have King, Hwoarang etc no need for Armorking, Baek etc* So yeah, like we dont have several karate characters playing similar or even 2 identical bears taking different slots *No one plays Eddy, Lei, Bruce etc* You are only thinking of e3 and online competition. Not the lore of the game. A game isnt about online competition only *So you want Tag 3?/Go play Tag 2* I only suggested like 8-10 characters. T7 brought 15 characters with DLCs. Man, Tekken 8 is missing too many iconics... Yeah Heihachi is dead and replaced by some doll. but I dont understand why chars like Lei, Eddy, Miguel, Marduk, Armorking and especially BRUCE are absent. People saying there is King, no need for Armorking bla bla but how about we have 2 damn bears who play identical taking seperate slots and several karate characters. People also argue that Baek and Wang are dead but you know their endings arent most likely canon as they never won the tournament and never beat Azazel. Fahkumram was a good one out of newcomers in T7 so I thought they would repeat him but nah. and they definitely add Ancient Ogre, its been like 25 years he last showed up in a canonical game. Jun is also back, their story is connected. and death is also not an excuse as he is a supernatural being who could be resurrected so. They definitely need to add more, even Tekken 7 had 37-38 characters on startup and about 50 after DLCs
Technically Tekken 7 had only 20 characters when it was first released in arcades. It took awhile to expend roster to 38 characters for a console release. Tekken 8 is the first game in series to skip arcades, so they actually did more than usual

tekken 9 bring all the characters back along with some new one's under the guise of new robot clone's perfecting alisa's technology as a template itll break the net & make the scene far bigger than before.

Personally, I think T7 is one of the most atrocious Tekken there is in the series. Theres an error. Tekken 5DR Jinpachi isnt playable (Namco System 256) Tekken 5DR Online Jinpachi is playable. (PS3) Tekken 5DR (PSP) Jinpachi is not playable
Tekken Tag 2 has to be the most ambitious project Bandai Namco has ever made. While doing that, they also made a non-canon movie Tekken Blood Vengeance. My favorite form of advertisement of TT2 is those wild cosplayer ads for the game.

Personally, I think T7 is one of the most atrocious Tekken there is in the series.
Imagine buying the game then a lot of characters are unusable unless you buy the DLC
That’s some EA gaming right there. I hope T8 won’t be like that too much, all characters should be playable the moment you buy the game

Sheesh. The effort. Kudos man. 30 years Tekken has grace us. Damn, I played Tekken 2 when I was like 6-7 years old. I'm old and I still put Tekken high up on my fighting game list.
