Just ordered one of these from snowblowers direct. I’ve had a Ariens 2 stage for 12 years now great machines.

Really good review! To the point, showing the machine in action. I am highly considering adding that machine to my snow fighting arsenal!

Just make sure you take the stock plastic wheels off and order the original 721 wheels, get them on Amazon, the axles are identical, otherwise snow sticks and builds up on them, then your pushing the while weight of the machine, figured that out after 2 yrs of fighting it, was almost a deal breaker, just put my 821 away as spring is almost here in Spokane Wa. Good luck o you.

Nice video! That particular machine is what I decided upon, but waited too far into the season and they're not available now. I picked up a used Ariens 722, and it works fine as a sidewalk machine and around cars etc... Next winter I will get the Professional 21 with the chute control.

man, thats a real nice Detroit neighborhood...lol
im in michigan too, in south detroit lol
also, heres a tip. when ur doing ur driveway, start going down the MIDDLE and work ur way out. this allows u to set ur chute one time and now have to keep turning it. also prevents u from throwing snow OVER what u just cleared

Looks like a great machine. I have 2 Simplicity 1222ee single stage snow blowers, use them commercially, and love them! Compared to your Ariens, my machine costs a little more but it has more horse power, more torque, electronic chute rotation, and lights that help at night. Generally, single stage blowers are light, very nimble, and faster than most any 2 stage blower in snow up to 10 inches deep. Best of luck to you!

Sounds like you’re comparing it to the Toro single stage. You mentioned the red key that has to be pushed in when it’s on and you mentioned the chute which one would have to constantly bend down to navigate. You described my single stage Toto very accurately. By the way, that’s all the snow y’all got? Here in the Windy City, we got several inches and some counties, they got over a feet. You should do a review when y’all get some real snow.

  • @rickweaver7997
    @rickweaver7997 Год назад +1

Go down the middle of your driveway and throw the snow left and right so you dont have to change the chute direction and you will not be blowing snow onto and over an area you have already cleaned.

Nice Video... I'm actually looking at that machine. - Just some advice to help aid in faster snow blowing... Next time try starting down the MIDDLE of the driveway and blowing the snow out to the sides and keep looping around. You never have to change the chute direction, and you wont be blowing snow over the areas that you just cleaned.. and be forced to go over it again..... just a thought...

So this is where my research has led me. I have a 2 car width driveway that can fit 3 cars down the driveway, no sidewalks, and a small curved walkway to the front door.
I'd love to have a 2 stage but I think it's overkill. I'm in Southeast Michigan too so I'm hoping this unit works well in the sometimes wet snow we get.
How long you reckon the paddles last? They're like $100 for the kit

It’s your first snow blower so yeah of course you feel that way but the power isn’t there for me the engine serges and that shoot adjuster will freeze up on you so I had to get the manual one! But a great snow blower to you didn’t make a bad choice but not better than toro in since of power an just plain getting it done! And these ariens have gas line issues they surge and then cut off and won’t start!

It would be interesting to seee this machine against the Toro Snow Master 824. I believe you will find your statement not true anymore. The Arien’s is a great machine, but when the snow gets deeper the Toro will win time after time. Ariens has an advantage only in that it is easier to get around in a pick-up.
    Thanks

that thing can't compete with a ccr series. Toro still makes the best single stage. The design of that one is rather cumbersome versus the lightweight design of the toros.

you could totally be right. I honestly would not know. As I said in my video, I'm a newb to snowblowers. This was the first one I've ever owned. All I went by was internet reviews, the salesguy, forums and my first handling of the machines in the store. The ariens pro just felt less massive and cheap as the toro's. Just my thoughts.
