2013 f30 break reset unsuccessful

Break light came on today the car only has 12k miles breaks are good can't reset the maintenance light, every try says unsuccessful what should I do?

Make sure your parking brake isn’t set. Spent an hour trying to get my front to reset kept getting the unsuccessful indication. Released the parking brake and worked like a champ. This was on a 2014 528i.

it will just be the sensor. it is a cheap part to replace.

The rear break pads on f30 only last around 30k on the good note they are easy to replace

Agreed - change pads AND change sensors. It's all locked in by timer 'and' by wear.

i pressed the service button on wrong time means service was not due and now it has reset it with a future date how can i go back to before reset date or can fix the service date any idea i have bmw 5 series F10

For anyone having an issue with reset unsuccessful.
If you have recent changed your breaking pads apparently you have to change the sensor too, happened the same to my BMW
