I have exactly the same silver model. Just sent it off to tag heuer for gaining/losing time while wearing it and they’re sending it back unrepaired. “Parts no longer available.” Should I take it to a qualified watch repair shop or find someone to mail it to?
That's lazy from TAG, i'm sorry to say. Parts are available for these and any watchmaker can quickly and easily do a movement swap in one of these watch. Go independent after checking reviews for one near you. It is not an expensive movement
Can i ask if the bezel be replaced and swapped? Meaning if i have the rubber strap version i want to replace the rubber strap version bezel to my steel version.
I had mine replaced about 10 years ago. It wasn't too expensive back then, maybe £40. Much more expensive now I'd imagine. Faces scratch, that was about £75 at about the same time. Watch was a gift from a girlfriend in 1991, I bet she doesn't look as good as the watch does now!

The steel F1 is very part of Ross Geller's early wardrobe. Absolute classic.

@@Birthyearwatches they also broke/bent the clasp, which was in fine shape and still fit me perfectly.
