I saw your video on Reddit and just had to watch. I can’t even explain how validating it feels hearing someone else echo what I’ve been saying (minus the air vomit I’m emetephobic so I won’t be doing that 😂) for years and years. I knew I wasn’t alone cause the Reddit group but it’s 10x better seeing someone talk about it and even the visuals of the laying down cause boyyyyyy have I been laying down a lot!! Ive been documenting my rcpd journey for almost 3 years now here and there on my channel (not to self promote just context) and i am so thrilled to see another content creator bring this to light. Im on my 4th botox now (other 3 didnt work so well - i just needed a higher dose it turns out) and the relief a burp brings is insane!!!! Natural burpers truly have no idea how lucky they are!! Anyway wishing you all the best 😄
Came over here from reddit. I only discovered rcpd in the past year but had symptoms forever and it definitely gets worse with age. Booked in for treatment in London next month and so excited!
Thanks man for sharing your experience. You're not alone, I've suffered with R-CPD basically my whole life, and it sucks. Videos and stories like yours help spreading knowledge about this conditions, and it's thanks to guys like you that many people discover they are not alone! Are you considering botow injection? Mine is scheduled for March, fingers crossed.
Thank you I really appreciate that 😊 I'll hopefully get an appointment after I've moved out and have a bit more cash, that's awesome you've got it booked in, I hope it works out 😊
I have R-CPD too! Have you tried to air vomit? The relief is unbelievable! Just stick your fingers or a toothbrush at the back of your throat until you feel the gag reflex. Keep insisting until you air vomit. The relief is amazing! The sound is hilarious! 😂 If you go out you can do it in the toilet just make sure no one is nearby lol. There is treatment for it, Botox in the throat muscle. There is a doctor in London who does it, but the waiting list is long! You are not alone 😊
Its crazy to hear from people who have the same thing haha! No I've never tried it, I have a fear of being sick lol but I've heard good things about that. Next time it gets bad I'll give it a go tho. And yes I will get on the waiting list once I have more money! Thanks for letting me know. Have you had it done?
@@TomInTheSky2001 Hey! I have you issue and air vomiting does really help, the only problem is that you have to stick a finger down your throat and when you burp it's fucking loud, it's not like a normal burp but if you have the privacy its awesome, I do it all the time when I'm somewhere I can do it. You have to learn how to do it, you have to feel learn to feel when the burp is coming and you have to stick the finger, it's not difficult to do it, you can even push the air up with your stomach when you stick your finger, you have to try it until you learn, it's difficult to explain.
When I was 16 I got rheumatism. When I tell people about it, it's always the same thing: Everyone always thinks that this disease only affects older people.Luckily I have it somewhat under control with healthy eating and exercise, but people's ignorance is extremely annoying....I know that feel, brother 🤕
also just noticed you mentioned the dinosaur noises, they are my creaking door sounds. for me if I let all the gurgles come out it reduces the pressure, but if that fails, fingers down the throat in the toilet
if it's really really uncomfortable don't be afraid to get a couple of fingers down the throat in the bathroom, trust me - it might feel like you'll vomit, but what happens is a dry gag, huge echoey bark like gag that gets a lot of the air out. there's a chance you could be sick, but normally this helps me. people might think you've been sick because it will sound like it, but no vomit should come out. all the best

Thanks for sharing that man. It helps to hear others have experienced the same thing 💙
I actually have the opposite diagnosis, I have supergastricbelching where I can’t drink fizzy drinks cause I burp excessively
Oh wow, I'm always jealous of people when they burp 🤣 I hope it's all okay

Interesting, they seem to be the onset for me 🤷

Thanks for the tip. I've heard of this but never actually tried it, I've always had a fear of being sick, next time it gets bad I'll attempt it
