Merci pour cette vidéo très intéressante ( il y a juste une petite erreur sur le montage du dernier disque, il doit être décallé par rapport aux autres ). Thank you for this very interesting video (there is just a small error in the assembly of the last disc, it must be offset from the others).
I just did this job today. I opted to use M7x1 countersunk hex screws. (Difficult to obtain however) This makes it so you don't have to open up the holes in the clutch basket for tapping as the existing 6mm hole is already the correct size. Also I found the backing plate steel was not as hard as expected & managed to drill out easily with a 90 degree countersink bit so the fastener heads clear the oil pump chain. Thanks for the video. Very helpful
Hi, where did you manage to find the m7x1 hex screws? And does that mean you only have to tap the existing 6 mm hole, so no helix-coil required? Thanks!
Yes I found the countersunk M7 x 1 screws on Ebay & used a Hinson CU216 rubber bush kit. The screws came from China, but were good quality. The length required is 20mm as countersink fasteners are measured from head face. The original rivet hole is 6mm, so is perfect tapping size for M7. Some people use M8 screws, but this I feel removes to much material from clutch basket upstands. Plenty of Loctite so they don't come out. Nice & quite now. Also chain tension is critical on these bikes & needs to be loser than the factory spec or make noise also. I run a Scottoiler as well. Cheers & good luck
@@carlsimons1688 Thank you for the info! Much appreciated, will try to fix the bushings soon :) One more question, were you able to tap the old rivets out by a hammer after you have drilled the rivet heads out? Or should the be drilled out from both sides?
