Just making yourself as pretty as possible every day keeps depression, low self-esteem and comparing yourself to others at bay. Enough cannot be said for doing the best for YOURSELF every day, a great use of your time. Excellent video, very inspiring, thank you.
Such great points ✨️ When I do my best, I feel my best. It's not all about looks. If I make the best choices I can, I feel confident and feel better about myself.
Of course, everyone has an opinion about everything. I would like to add that having gray hair or wrinkles does not make you ugly. Beautiful people can be made to look ugly and unattractive. People would have a very hard time looking attractive if they are just plain not. Accepting people for what they look like and accepting yourself a little more rather than fighting a constant battle can be freeing. Being healthy and self-care is a bonus to everyone welcoming my gray hair and looking in the mirror at an aging face honestly just makes me smile and say gosh I am so glad to be here, and be healthy it's amazing! I think Jennifer looks adorable on the left side of the screen with her natural look and the sporty jeans and gray sweatshirt as well as the beautified made up version. Both are great. But just wanting everyone to feel like it is also OK to age. I feel beautiful and accept natural changes that my body is going through, including my face 😁
I agree with you on so many points! I would never go out of my house without makeup on, hair done and dressed. My mother who will be 90 in a couple of months is the same way, still has her hair dyed blonde, puts on her face, as she calls it. The only time I've seen her without makeup is if she is in the hospital. She is always stopped and told how nice she looks. I want to follow in her footsteps!
At times I like blending in At times I like standing out It is soooo freeing to just put my hair in a ponytail and a 5 min face ,wear jeans and a sweatshirt & go out the door, To run errands, grab lunch do a little shopping and not care what others think or who’s looking or not looking at me. I also love to dress fashionably ,straighten my hair ,do a more polished makeup look and show off my features and body. A healthy balance of not letting myself go ,but not needing to be a 10 at all times works for me.
I agree. And I certainly do that as well (mainly just the quick errand part) but the 5 minute makeup you mentioned is a must!😉I never go out completely bare faced. ❤😘
My grandmother is almost 100 years old and still takes excellent care of herself. Has her hair done regularly. Wears makeup and smells like a beautiful flower every day. She gets dressed every day and always looks good. If she can do it we can lol she also lives alone still. Which is amazing! That isn't everyone's super power though lol
The older I get, I do not wear make up everyday and I will go without effort. It’s also kind of fun being more invisible, and not attracting attention.
This video came just in time for my new year's resolution which is to spend more time on my appearance. I believe "When you look good, you feel good!" Spending more time on making myself look good is an investment in myself so I can feel good to live my best life. Lately I've been slacking, gained weight and have just honestly just been lazy about my appearance since I've taken on the role of caregiver to my mother in law who has Alzheimers. My depression about my situation is showing on the outside now. I need to turn things around before they get worse and my health declines. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
I absolutely love your honesty Jenifer, please never change 👏. I know how hard it can be getting on RUclips and speaking on certain topics like this never knowing if someone is going to pick the video apart or act offended somehow. There are so many of us that love hearing your opinions and tips! ❤
Isn’t that the truth! I literally get anxiety sometimes before I post a video because I don’t know how it’s going to be received. What you said means so much to me! Thank you so much! ❤🥰
Agree with all of these but wanted to add my #1 favorite beauty tip - Lumify eye drops for instantly gorgeous eyes! It's crazy how much prettier I feel with those eye drops! :)
I love this! I am 53 and wear makeup and fix my hair every day even though I work from home. It just makes me feel better about myself. People give me such a hard time, but i’ve ALWAYS done this. Im getting a lower bleph in March and I get botox in my forehead as well. I’m so glad to hear someone else does this!
It is such a pleasure to watch and listen to you, Jenifer! I've been a fan for a couple of years and I love the stamina and self confidence you exude. Unapologetically yourself is such an attractive trait! A woman who knows exactly who she is and what she likes is the best role model for the generations ahead. 💖 Thank you for sharing in detail your steps to stay the beautiful self ❤️
Love this video! The transparency is appreciated. 🙏🏽You’re so beautiful with and without all of the cosmetic enhancements. 😍 My biggest beauty secret is my skin care routine. I no longer wear concealer or foundation because I feel confident enough not to. But, I once felt the need for it. I now take time on my skin preventing breakouts and uneven skin tone. The skin care line The Ordinary has been game changing for me. Also, another secret I have especially in the winter months is to use self tanning drops on my face. I’m black and Puerto Rican with a fair skin tone in the winter and I tend to look sickly if I get too pale. Summer time it’s not an issue but, once I lose my summer tan it’s back to the self tanning facial drops for me.🤭 Again, you’re stunningly beautiful and I’ve been appreciating all of your videos 🫶🏽 P.s I loooove your blonde hair with the dark eyebrows. Your eye color really pops and it all just flows beautifully together. 😍
Great video idea!! My best friend used to say I needed a makeover and it hurt my feelings really badly. Then one year she took me shopping, bought me cosmetics, hair tools, hair products and showed me how to use everything. Even fixing my hair was a dramatic improvement (I actually have nice hair -- long and thick, very few greys). Once I figured out basic makeup and hair I started dressing better. I always had a nice figure but I would hide it. Put all these changes together and people started reacting to me totally differently, and starting around age 40, I had to start getting used to compliments all the time, which I never had before and felt unworthy of. Now it's nice. It was so much easier than I thought it would be to transform my whole appearance.
Aww your friend just wanted to see that confidence come out and show your beauty. It was even nicer for her to take you shopping and pick out things. That’s a great friend!
I absolutely love this video. I never go anywhere without makeup either. It's deeper than a vanity thing. It makes me feel alive and motivated. It's a form of self expression for me xx
Refreshing to hear women say they care about how they look and we don’t need to “pretend” it isn’t important. I put in a lot of energy too and I’m not sorry. I got veneers in 2022 after wanting them my whole life, I get injections as needed for volume loss in my face and always wear makeup and look put together. I did stop dying my grey hair but I’m not totally silver. I get compliments on it and told I look much younger than 43. I enjoy makeup and fashion and it makes me feel good when I look my best. It’s hard not to be tough on myself as I age but the effort is worth it to me. You look amazing and I appreciate how open you always are about what you do. ❤
Love this video! I totally agree that taking time for self care helps with your mental health! I don’t go anywhere without makeup, and as someone who has gotten comments my whole life about wearing too much or too little… I realize I do it all for ME. I feel good when I feel like I am presenting the best version of myself that I want to put out there. I also rock the blonde hair and dark brows😂. This was very motivational!!
“I’m me and you’re not.” 😂lol Love that comment so much. I will start using that when I have my mom tell me that I shouldn’t put so much effort in my appearance because I’m a wife and mother now.
I thoroughly enjoyed this talk. I used to put so much effort into myself but I’ve found that I’m getting more and more lazy over the years. Great points and pep talk for me. ❤
Love this topic. I can’t leave the house without perfume. I don’t wear it for others and I’m careful to not overspray but as a child of a Spanish mother we always had to smell good with fresh colognes. If you’re from Europe you know the obsession with colognes. They are very fresh and light. It’s just a part of my beauty formula and smelling good to me is as important as looking good. It also brings back wonderful memories of my childhood. ❤️
I LOOOOVED this video please do more like this tips on self care, etc for anti aging and looking your best. You are such an inspiration and your tips tend to be so practical
This is true , she got a professional to alter her “look “ in this film. Prosthetics were used. Her eyebrows shaved and bleached. She’s a beautiful woman who had help to make her look like that .
I’m 52 and I’ve always worn makeup every day, color my grays, have nails painted, just try to look my best even if I’m not leaving the house. I will say I’ve been feeling like it’s getting harder, or maybe I’m just a little depressed about getting older but I’ll never stop putting that effort in. 🥰
Thank you so much for your honesty!! Many RUclipsrs try to hide procedures and other work done on them. I appreciate you so much as an aging woman myself! ❤
THANK YOU for being so very beautifully real. I am 60 and enjoying my self care routine and for me it is my face, i enjoy my Red Light mask and targeted skincare products, these are quality and i really emotionally accept the joy it brings me. I have for 3yrs after weight loss surgery am falling in to a peace with how i look and feel. Thank you again for being real and yes posture What a beautiul reminder
Yoo look amazing, for a 50 year old, 40 year old, 30 year old, 20 year old. What Im trying to say is that you are beautiful regardless of how old you are. I don’t think beauty depends on age. Not all 20 year olds are beautiful
Have you ever considered acrylic nails with gel polish? They last over 3 weeks & the grow-out is the only reason you need to get a fill-in! Plus they are only $40 here in Seattle. I am very much like you in several ways- I used to be teased that I wear makeup even when I go to the dump! Yes, because I feel “incomplete” without my makeup; I so understand your philosophy! At 76 years of age, I will never be giving up on looking the best I can be! You are lovely, thank you for inspiring us!❤
I have a weird hang up when it comes to going to salons to recieve any type of service...hair, nails, massage, etc. I literally get anxiety over it. I know that sounds so odd, but it's true. It's the reason I've taught myself how to do everything at home. Lol! 😂 I love that you still make your appearance a priority at 76! I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that I will be the same way! My mother-in-law is the same, and I love that about her.🥰 I giggled when you said, "even when I go to the dump". 😂❤
I really appreciate this video!! I’ve done many things over the years to represent myself physically in a way that I have liked and felt was really authentic for me, but I’ve also made the choice over the last couple of years to make my finances more of a priority than my appearance!! Not that I ever intended for it to have taken as long as it did, but now that I am almost 2 years into/out of my ‘financial makeover’ I have been trying to remember what I did more of before that I felt helped me physically express myself in those ways that I both really liked, and now really miss!! … of course, I’m a bit older now so I have to adjust some of those things, and I am more reluctant now to spend the (huge!) amount of money that I did back then, (although, absolutely more than what I have been!! Thank Goodness!) …. So I Love that your doing this video!! Thank You So Much for emulating what a Lovely, Vibrant Woman can look like in our Middle Years!! You Inspire Me So Much!!! & I Am So Excited to Begin Stepping Into my Own Sexy Middle Years!!! (Sorry about all the capital letters, I get excited, lol)
Hi from Australia. Jennifer, you are the most self-aware and honest of the Beauty RUclipsrs that I watch. I remember a video of yours years ago where you said that contrast (tan skinned and white teeth as an example) looked beautiful and I’ve always noticed that in other beautiful people as well, and also wearing red. And both of these are apparent in this video.
I love this! I got braces last year and hopefully am getting them off this summer. I’ve always been so insecure about my crooked teeth and could finally afford to get braces at 30 years old, it’s such a confidence boost having straighter teeth
I love this! I feel the same way about all of your beauty standards. Funny story… my 17 year olds daughters boyfriend showed up to pick her up for a day date this past weekend at 9 AM and she had overslept and was still in bed sleeping in sweats with a hair mask on from then night before. I was trying to keep her boyfriend away from her until she could fix herself up a bit, but she totally didn’t care lol! I would NEVER have greeted my boyfriend in that state at her age! Also, I put on makeup and a decent outfit just to take my son to school or walk the dog and my husband thinks I’m crazy! I enjoy fixing myself up to face the day!😊
Jenifer, this was so refreshing! I also wear makeup every day. Not because I feel pressured but because it makes me feel feminine and confident I love feeling put together even if I’m wearing sweats.
I am one of those people that never leaves the house without sunscreen on my face neck and hands. And of course makeup. I even get dressed up to go to a Doctors appointment. I have been this way since I was a teenager. It is part of feeling good about myself.
Love this video and topic! If anything one should take pride in their appearance even if it’s just for themselves. I want to look my best because I am so thankful to be alive and given this body although I know it’s temporal. If it’s not hurting anyone then we should do whatever we want to ourselves. Live and Let Live! When we look better it effects our decision, choices etc. It’s called self-concept. I studied psychology, spiritual psychology and sociology. I learned a lot about myself. As I have said in the past I have had cosmetic surgery and plan to have more in the future. You look fantastic and are a great example of looking your best. Thank you Jenifer. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
I feel the same way as you! We are only given one body to take care of as we choose. I'm trying to stick around as long as I can, so, for the most part, I try to treat it well. I wasn't joking when I said that I'm more pleasant to be around when I feel like I look my best.😄 It's true (like you mentioned) when we feel like we look our best, it really does effect our decisions, outlook, mood, behavior, confidence level, etc. Also, I love anything and everything psychology! I graduated with a degree in Psycology and a minor in Sociology. Spiritual Psychology sounds very interesting! You are beautiful girl! ❤🥰
Great video! I don’t check the mail without makeup, and I put it on every day no matter what (even when I’m sick) because it makes me feel better. It’s like making your bed - it’s contagious and motivates you to make everything else in your room look good. Makeup motivates me to make the rest of my body look good - hair, clothing, physique, etc. And if I ever don’t wear it (which is almost never), it’s all I can think about it. But when I wear makeup, I can forget about my face and concentrate on other things.
Your videos always give me hope that I can maintain a nice appearance as I age as I think it gets harder and harder. It takes a lot of effort to maintain. It’s all the daily habits which I slide off of when my routine gets messed up or I’m going through something. I think for me it’s routines hair, skin, teeth, and weight maintenance/toning. I wish it didn’t matter to me so much
If you get off the routine for long enough it is harder to get back where you were because more aging has taken place such as weight gain or lack of skincare. It’s a lot for women to deal with. I think many feel this way.
I know what you mean! Sometimes I wish it didn’t matter so much to me either. 😂 But I plan to be around for a while, hopefully into my 90’s, so I better take care of myself. 😁❤️😘
PS You are one of my few absolute favorite youtubers ! .. I understand you and love your style! I will never stop taking care working out never go gray[not for me] or give up primping ..
Once again so very glad I found your channel , we have so much in common I have even had the exact same surgery as you have, and it has given me so much more confidence not for for any one just me , love you keep up the good work 🌺🌺🌺🌺
It’s pretty amazing that you look exactly like your female inspirations all morphed together (Anna Nicole, Pamela Anderson, Cameron Diaz) I’m also gonna throw in Carmen Electra as well. But you’re absolutely right, we all have the ability to look our most attractive/beautiful as long as it’s important to you. It’s always been important to me to represent myself the best I can possible look. Or at least I try. 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
I'm glad you mentioned the boney protruding chest bone. I have the same thing and am also very small breasted. I've often wondered if gaining weight or just having larger breasts would make a difference in the appearance of my breast bone. I'm self conscious about it, but it is what it is. I too dye my hair light blonde because my natural color is very dark and ash and I just don't like it against my lighter skin tone. I too do a darker brow lol. Glad to know I have these quirks in common with someone out there lol. BTW, I would rock that mole if I were you. Kinda looks like it's covered a bit by makeup. Moles above the lip are sexy, wish I had one to rock.
That's funny because those of us with bigger chests wish we had that bone visible lol! Also it's nice of you to mention the mole - I have one too & would always wish I could get rid of it (my mother called it a 'beauty mark' though)!
I have watched you for awhile, but first time comment. I have to say, your honesty is so refreshing, I appreciate your vulnerability. I do many of your tips, and endorse what you say, without having put words to it, so thank you! I am a bit older than you- late 50’s and will say one I recently added was hair extensions, both tape in for the back and KTips on the sides, and boy do I love them! When she was almost finished putting them in, and couldn’t help but be giddy and say “there I am!” So you do you, and I totally get everything you are saying, thank you for putting words to those feelings!
When you said, “there I am” that made me smile.😊 What a great feeling! Feeling good about the way we look can really put the wind in our sails, can’t it? I’m glad to hear you love your new hair extensions! ❤️🥰
Thank you so much for sharing! It's like hearing from a friend. We have so many similarities including our hands. I too got my grandmother's hands and she was one who always had her nails done and her hands slippery with all the lotion she would put on them!
I had the same procedure done to my eyes 10 years ago for the same reason Jennifer. It was the BEST decision I have ever made! I certainly see the improvement to your eyes! Beautiful ❤
You are so beautiful, and much too hard on yourself, but I completely understand and that’s why I love your channel. We think the same! Always appreciate your tips ❤
Hi Jennifer. You look lovely. I agree with you because the way the world has become. I don't know about where you live, but you can't hardly go to a Walmart without seeing someone wearing PJ bottoms. I wish life used to be the way it was many decades ago where people went out looking presentable. On the flip side of that I am 67, have 3 daughters who are all in their 40's. I have set the example by living my life before them. I feel there is a fine line in my life to be drawn. My girls do not wear makeup seldom ever. Though I am health conscientious I do not put that on them and never have. They see the example without me saying a word. It is up to them what they do with that unless they ask advice. I have been extra cautious with my girls since they were little. Things that were said, even though unintentionally, led to my sisters and I having eating disorders growing up. I made up my mind when I had children, I would never say things to them that would cause them to feel bad about themselves. I believe because of that, they are the most fun adult girls you'd ever want to be around, and everyone loves them. You had mentioned your hands. I have had veins that pop up in my veins before your age. Like you, I probably don't have enough meat on them. I always try to look for things to be grateful about. I barely have any age spots on them if any. My Mother passed away 35 years this year from cancer. The thing I noticed most about her was how precious those hands were, thinking back to times when she fed us and took care of all 4 of us so diligently. Noone who matters to you in this life are going to think of veins on your hands. If the nail polish and rings make you feel better about yourself, then do that. I realize this was long, but these were just a few thoughts on my heart that I wanted to share. We have a lot to be grateful for. Husbands who love us the way we are. Children. I have been blessed with 6 granddaughters and one great granddaughter. Can I just say, God is good. Have a blessed evening, Jennifer and don't forget how beautiful inside and out you are.
You are beautiful and authentic. Just came to say this...I feel the same about my hands as they are such a large part of our expression and virtually impossible to conceal. I wear long nails (coffin shape) and have found that a light/sheer pink or nude nail polish looks more youthful than a dark/heavy color does. I also think an oval shape would feel more feminine for you than square, especially since the nails you wear are short. If you clean the nail bed with acetone and rough them up (a tiny bit) with a nail file before applying nail glue, a new set should last a full week - and up to two weeks. Depending on how much your hands are in water. Thanks so much for your content! I am an introvert too and honestly don't know how you do it!! Happy New Year!
I agree with all of these points.. they all look great too .. I’m not one to be a crybaby or care much about stereotypes ..but I love that you mention blonde beauty it’s one of the main reasons, I follow you just blonde positivity and I have many brunettes in my life I love and that are so so beautiful and kind but I have had many brunette women mostly make really awful comments my whole life for being blonde or about being blonde and I love you are so positive and transparent ❤ beautiful
They say when your trying to level up it is helpful to find somebody to emulate. At least to get a finger on a vibe you want to create for yourself. For me, your that person! My level up vision! ❤
Girl, I feel ya! It’s getting harder the older we get! I just turned 49 and it’s getting more harder to keep up with everything. Honestly I pick out everything on my face that’s wrong, atleast to me anyway. It’s getting so expensive for me. I do my skin care but I am starting to slack on exercising. I’ve got to get back to that. Going through menopause is a b@@ch!
It's SO much harder now! Lol! And you KNOW I'm like you, I pick myself apart! But it's funny because I never dissect other people the way I do myself. And yes, it gets expensive. Lol! 😂 You're beautiful though so I think you're on the right track. 🥰😘
I'm giving HRT a try because my skin aged overnight at age 52...despite 20 yrs of consistent, almost obsessive sunblock and staying shaded. I hope it will help before it's too late. I'm also returning to weight training (many months now) and high protein based on following Dr. Haver on RUclips. Against every bone in my body, I also cut my hair into a wavy bob and started coloring it again. Not ready for the nursing home quite yet!♥️🇨🇦
I so understand everything you’re saying here. I’m 52, went through menopause, I also find it’s been harder to keep up, I think sometimes it’s depression for me, also it is expensive lol. I did start going to the gym 2 years ago and have kept up with that and I’ll tell you that does really help. 💕
Agree.. I love being blonde to.. low lights ash my blonde out and depresses me .. At 58 I am grateful my under hair is still brown though so that contrast I do like but adding low lights never works out .. Tans are lovely the self tanners have come a long way ;] You are FABULOUS ! Beautiful all around! Keep being you and an inspiration Jennifer ;] I will stay as healthy n fit as long as possible to ;] You go girl!
I regularly get botox, dye my hair, get my nails done (once a month). I blow dry/style my hair everyday and I do put on make up, some days are just a tiny make up but always. I look sick without it. I constantly remind myself about posture and pay attention to my clothes and shoes. It may sound like chores but I actually enjoy it and can do it on automatic ways. Great video!
I do many of the same things you mentioned in this video! I do need to start wearing more jewelry. I’m just not a jewelry person, but I think it looks so pretty. One of the things I have done is Invisalign. I am currently doing it again. Just started. I also like to exfoliate and put on Argan oil to give my skin a healthy glow. ❤
You look gorgeous! Loved hearing what you do to look your best. Like you I don't go anywhere without makeup either (my grandma was always so put together even if she just was cleaning the house, so that made an impression). I don't enjoy exercising anymore either (I did when I was younger) I'm trying to have a more positive take on it so I do it more often (you are absolutely correct it does get harder the older we get). I love red on you and your hair back is so pretty! ❤
You are so transparent! Love it! You dont hide that it takes effort to keep up our looks, at any age, but even more as we get older. I have a video request, if you can and would like to. Do you and how do you deal with sarcastic/passive aggressive comments from other women about how we "have to accept getting older"? Meaning that we shouldnt try to look younger or better. I am 40 and I try to stay in shape and keep up my appearance. Lately I have been getting a lot of passive aggressive comments about my age and looks. Just wondering how other women deal with it. Thanks for being great example Jenifer!
Put me on team makeup too. I never go out without it except to get the mail or take down the recyclables. I will also wear it if I'm in the house alone doing nothing. When you look good, you feel good. Interesting that you look back on old pictures and wonder why you were insecure when you looked so good. Maybe in 20 years, we will look back at pics of us at 50 and think, damn, we looked great. I enjoy your videos Jenifer, thank you!
I loved this video!! We have so much in common! The hands thing- totally relate(same issue) I do not go out without makeup, as it is meditative to me, as well. Everything I do is for me. I don’t care what anybody else thinks about any treatment that I get. You are beautiful, both inside and out.
I turned 50 in December. I don’t wear makeup when I’m at home. It allows my skin to breathe. However, I do wear makeup when going out as well as do my hair. I keep my nails trimmed and painted on a regular basis.
I agree 100% with you, i never walk out the door without makeup or hair fixed and i always throw sometg half way decent on. My daughter always says,, why are you even bothering ,, nobody is even going to see us. I say, i dont care,,, i wear makeup even when im home alone and earrings daily. Nails i need to at least have painted. Your beautiful Jenifer and you DO NOT look your age, you look so much younger. Your pretty hard on yourself at times. I am too though. Great video ❤❤
I so agree with you on makeup everyday regardless of whether you’re going out or seeing anyone! It’s like making your bed daily. You just feel more motivated and accomplished. ❤ Btw can you link your nails? That red looks so pretty on your hands! 💅🏼
I think about his all the time too. I am the same age as you and at times, its exhausting just trying to keep up with the hair, makeup, clothes, exercise, supplements etc. I haven't taken the plunge with Botox or filler yet because I cant imagine more upkeep!
you are a true inspiration for women all ages Jenifer! I ll turn 48 this year, and I love make up, wearing some at work, for going out, but I can easily skip it for groceries ...........I like doing my nails (as well, I don't like my hands ) and I die my hair because I m brunette and greys are very visible, I can't assume them. I ve done laser on the face for sun spots, and use some device for neck wrinkles.I try to stay in shape and being fresh , even without makeup some days ! thanks for sharing !hugs from France
Totally agree with you on everything you said. I do every single thing pretty much that you said. I am the same way. I put makeup on even though i work from home and dont leave the house a whole lot. Even days when im sick, i put it on because like you said, it makes me feel good!
It beats going to a salon and getting them done and filled every other week, right? Some of the press ons out there are so pretty too and it's much easier than painting in my opinion. ❤🤗
My whole life I pretty much liked working out. But for several years now, no. I cannot stand it anymore and have to force myself. Everything is harder, and physically it just doesn’t feel great anymore. The only thing I enjoy is walking.
Just making yourself as pretty as possible every day keeps depression, low self-esteem and comparing yourself to others at bay. Enough cannot be said for doing the best for YOURSELF every day, a great use of your time. Excellent video, very inspiring, thank you.
I agree 💯!!! ❤️🙌
YESSSS!!! 👍
Omg, I love that!! I'm going to be the same way when I'm 90. Blonde with makeup on, except in the hospital. 😂🥰❤
At times I like blending in
At times I like standing out
It is soooo freeing to just put my hair in a ponytail and a 5 min face ,wear jeans and a sweatshirt & go out the door, To run errands, grab lunch do a little shopping and not care what others think or who’s looking or not looking at me.
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty I don’t go out completely bare faced either …I’m not that confident 😂💚
Jennifer looks so gorgeous here. She’s beautiful in all her vids. I love watching her and listening to her talk and agree with everything she said.
These are a must!
Oh my goodness, I also recently discovered the Lumify eye drops!! Makes such a difference!
❤
I wish it didn't irritate my eyes so much.
Yes!🙌
What a nice thing to say! Thank you so much! That means so much to me. ❤️🤗
Love this video! The transparency is appreciated. 🙏🏽You’re so beautiful with and without all of the cosmetic enhancements. 😍
My biggest beauty secret is my skin care routine. Summer time it’s not an issue but, once I lose my summer tan it’s back to the self tanning facial drops for me.🤭 Again, you’re stunningly beautiful and I’ve been appreciating all of your videos 🫶🏽
P.s
I loooove your blonde hair with the dark eyebrows.
@@ZeeTene Thank you! She's wonderful. She hurt my feelings a tiny bit, but she did wonders for my feelings and self-esteem in the long run!
I absolutely love this video. I never go anywhere without makeup either. It's deeper than a vanity thing. It makes me feel alive and motivated. It's a form of self expression for me xx
This is how I feel 100%! 🙌😘
“I’m me and you’re not.” 😂lol
Love that comment so much.
Yes! I believe if you , look good, you feel good!
Charlize got professional help to alter her look in The Monster. Fake teeth etc, it was a wonderful film. This is a wonderful video too!
This is true , she got a professional to alter her “look “ in this film. Prosthetics were used. Her eyebrows shaved and bleached.
She’s a beautiful woman who had help to make her look like that .
You’re such an inspiration to us 50+ women, thank you. 🇦🇺
Oh how sweet! Thank you so much! ❤️🤗
I actually think your natural hair looks AMAZING! so much better than the “done” hair! I feel like it’s fuller and fun and makes you look younger 😉
So spot on! I agree with everything.I never had fillers, bleph., or breast implants but everything else I do and for the same reasons.
sometimes we feel bad about our image not because we hate ourselves but because we know we could look better and do better.
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty And now I am drinking water thanks to your tip about Cotton Candy Skinny Syrup!😋
I love you raw & real conversations.
I love this! I got braces last year and hopefully am getting them off this summer. I’ve always been so insecure about my crooked teeth and could finally afford to get braces at 30 years old, it’s such a confidence boost having straighter teeth
I also had braces in my 30s, totally worth it! Happy for you!
I love the way you think and how you take care of yourself. You look awesome! Don’t ever stop, seriously!!
I personally find it so very refreshing when a pretty woman is honest and humble …😊 so thank you for this video. Fabulous tips!
Awe, what a nice thing yo say! Thank you so much! ❤☺️
I’m sitting here in my house with makeup on. I didn’t even go out today 😆
I am one of those people that never leaves the house without sunscreen on my face neck and hands. And of course makeup. I even get dressed up to go to a Doctors appointment. I have been this way since I was a teenager. It is part of feeling good about myself.
Same!! I think of it as practicing self love. ❤️🥰
Im so inspired by you. Im pretty young, but seeing how you take care of yourself shows me that you can be beautiful all your life. Effort is key ❤
Makeup makes me happy
I can't live without it
Love this video and topic!
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty Thank you so much Jenifer. ♥️
Hi Jenifer, great video and I agree with you on all these points. I also thinks it's important to smell good so I always wear a nice perfume.
PS You are one of my few absolute favorite youtubers ! .. I understand you and love your style! I will never stop taking care working out never go gray[not for me] or give up primping ..
Hey jen. Can you do a video on self tanning? What you do before and after etc. 😊
Perfume is also a must for me, if I don’t wear it I feel like I forgot something. Whitening my teeth is probably my number 1💕
Please do a video on doing your nails, they always look so nice!
I love both. When I go to Maine with my girlfriends. We say this is Gods country. Sweats no makeup… we’ll always blush . I love it
Hi Jennifer.
That red shirt looks so good. That’s your color
You’re spot on with everything!!! You look incredible ❤ and it shows you take pride in your appearance!! 😊
You really look incredibly young for 50! At 45 I look so much older than you, I think. How is your face so firm? Have you had a facelift? Or Sculptra?
Dear Jenifer, This video was incredible. You are very honest about your procedures. Stay beautiful ❤❤
Thank you so much Clarissa! ❤🤗
Keep being you and an inspiration Jennifer ;]
I will stay as healthy n fit as long as possible to ;] You go girl!
Thank you for being so transparent and helpful! ❤
Love all your tips!! And I’m so happy you are so open about everything beauty! Voluminous hair especially a full hairline makes you look younger
Thank you for a straightforward response, complete with photos! could you also do one on what you do for your emotional///spiritual health?
You are so transparent! Love it! You dont hide that it takes effort to keep up our looks, at any age, but even more as we get older. I have a video request, if you can and would like to. Do you and how do you deal with sarcastic/passive aggressive comments from other women about how we "have to accept getting older"? Meaning that we shouldnt try to look younger or better. I am 40 and I try to stay in shape and keep up my appearance. Lately I have been getting a lot of passive aggressive comments about my age and looks. Just wondering how other women deal with it. Thanks for being great example Jenifer!
Smile is transformative 💕
Put me on team makeup too. I never go out without it except to get the mail or take down the recyclables. I will also wear it if I'm in the house alone doing nothing. When you look good, you feel good. Interesting that you look back on old pictures and wonder why you were insecure when you looked so good. Maybe in 20 years, we will look back at pics of us at 50 and think, damn, we looked great. I enjoy your videos Jenifer, thank you!
I relate to so much in this video! Posture is so so so super important in my view!
I loved this video!! We have so much in common! The hands thing- totally relate(same issue) I do not go out without makeup, as it is meditative to me, as well. Everything I do is for me. I don’t care what anybody else thinks about any treatment that I get. You are beautiful, both inside and out.
Hey miss Jenifer. I haven’t watched the video yet but I wanted to let you know you’re a huge inspiration to me.
I turned 50 in December. I don’t wear makeup when I’m at home. It allows my skin to breathe. However, I do wear makeup when going out as well as do my hair. I keep my nails trimmed and painted on a regular basis.
You are so beautiful. Congrats for caring about how you look and putting the effort in ❤
I agree 100% with you, i never walk out the door without makeup or hair fixed and i always throw sometg half way decent on.
I love blonde hair and dark eyebrows! That is my formula as well!!!! You are gorgeous and always will be!
I so agree with you on makeup everyday regardless of whether you’re going out or seeing anyone! It’s like making your bed daily. You just feel more motivated and accomplished. ❤
Btw can you link your nails? That red looks so pretty on your hands! 💅🏼
I think about his all the time too. I am the same age as you and at times, its exhausting just trying to keep up with the hair, makeup, clothes, exercise, supplements etc. I haven't taken the plunge with Botox or filler yet because I cant imagine more upkeep!
I'm the same i do it 4 me not 4 anyone else. I totally get u!
you are a true inspiration for women all ages Jenifer!
Love your hair pulled back, you favor Annie Lenox! 🩵
Totally agree with you on everything you said. I do every single thing pretty much that you said. I am the same way. I put makeup on even though i work from home and dont leave the house a whole lot. Even days when im sick, i put it on because like you said, it makes me feel good!
Very good choices Jenifer. You always look beautiful. All your choices are working well for you. Thanks for the inspiration.
Love my Impression press one with glue, I used to get about 10 days, but I’m at 5-6 days now.
It beats going to a salon and getting them done and filled every other week, right? Some of the press ons out there are so pretty too and it's much easier than painting in my opinion. ❤🤗
Thanks for motivating us to look the best version of ourselves. This kind of videos are my favourite!
Hi Jenifer, you don't just look good for your age, you look great for any age!! You have classic good looks!
This is some of the best advice I have heard. Thank you!
This is a great video. I needed this and it’s also my New Year’s resolution! 😊
Great video! You inspire me to be better! You’re beautiful but your personality and wisdom makes you stunning.
The dark brow with blond hair is classic. Especially with a red lip :-)
My whole life I pretty much liked working out. But for several years now, no. I cannot stand it anymore and have to force myself. Everything is harder, and physically it just doesn’t feel great anymore. The only thing I enjoy is walking.
