You just proved that you look beautiful in every light. You're helping us to realize that we are all beautiful and unique. We don't need to compare or compete with women who are younger. I agree with taking care of ourselves and enhancing what we have with makeup. We don't need to go overboard (with plastic surgery) like some celebrities who don't even resemble themselves anymore. We have people who love us just the way we are. God bless you!
Hi Jen, I’m 24, turning 25 next month. I found you on YT years ago while researching hyper pigmentation. I’ve loved your channel ever since, it feels like I am hanging out with my cool older sister!!! You give me so much confidence about aging gracefully and staying confident. Please never stop making videos, I could listen to you talk about paint drying! ♥️
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty Thank you for this video. I miss your Venus hauls. Will there be any soon? I just received the new catalog and there is so much I want!
You’re beautiful and seem so grounded and sweet. Your appearance proves that taking care of yourself pays off ! You have maintained your body weight, ate healthy, used sunscreen and followed a daily skin care regiment ! I hope all the younger women who follow you are taking notes !
Aging is so strange. Not everyone is lucky enough to experience it, so for that, I'm very thankful. And the knowledge and confidence I have in myself at 46 is something I'm very proud of. But I look in the mirror somedays and don't recognize myself. Honestly, it's hard. I never use filters. Its just depeessing. I feel like your channel is so safe. Thanks for sharing, you're still beautiful no matter what lighting. ❤️
Hi Jenifer! Im the one that left the comment you mentioned. Idk why this video made me feel so much endearment towards you. Ive been subscribed to you for years and I feel you are such a beautiful person not only on the outside,( bc you truly are)but also on the inside. The fact that you did this video tells me you're transparent. I hate that someone would make a comment like that, like why? What was the purpose? So that you could point out your "imperfections?" Did that make them feel better about themselves? I feel like sometimes you pick yourself apart and are too hard on yourself. You are gorgeous and perfect the way you are! No need to say "oh look at my crows feet or look at my hands or hair." NO. Never downplay your beauty or success to make others feels comfortable. Please stop acknowledging people that are fishing for you to call yourself out on things. They don't deserve your time. You are much too sweet and kind. ❤
Today i found that I am very Thankful i never been extra beautiful i've nothing to lose. You beautiful people make me sad you're so sacred of losing your beauty
My note to self is: “Never compete with others else you may become bitter …… instead, compete with yourself, and become better”. Oh and btw, I’m 56 and no textured skin. 😮😊 Hey, it’s all good. You’re still beautiful!
I think your incredibly brave for showing us your “true” self. However, all that said, there really is not much of a change (mostly just lighting, shadows etc). Lastly, someone asks you to show yourself without ring lighting and you go above and beyond. You are so open and reassuring to us that basically life on YT is not looking perfect. Thank you for your example to us who are 40+!🤩☺️😉
Thanks for doing this. Mid forties here and embracing so many other beautiful things in my life besides looks. I stay off social media (other than RUclips), and fill myself with nature (125 acres), nurturing foods and my family. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in shape and look young for my age without any interventions other than retin-a, sunscreen and eating lots of plants. It’s easier to embrace the aging when you’re at peace with other parts of your life.
This was a good reminder that we are humans and are suppose to look human, not filtered. This is real life and you are just as beautiful in any lighting. I hate filters and think they have really become one of those things that are so damaging, especially for the younger generation. Young girls are getting surgeries and instead of bringing a picture in of someone else, they are bringing in their filtered photos showing how they want to look. I just personally find it all sad. Thanks for sharing!💜
I agree! I love social media, but I can see how it can be damaging in many ways! You literally have to be tough AND smart to understand all the deception that takes place. Sometimes I actually think the younger kids are even more aware than we are! 😂 But I think we’re all catching on! ❤️💋
Social Media is great in many ways, it's the overly filtered stuff that I think is a con due to the damage it's doing by teaching people our real selves aren't enough. This may be a good video topic since you have a daughter?
I remember my mom used to lament over the texture on her neck or the spots on her hands. I remember it making no sense to me as a young kid that she could find any faults in her superficial because she is my mom and nothing could ever diminish the love I have for her. She had nothing to worry about and she had the most beautiful things of all, her Love, grace, and dignity ❤ I’m sure your kids must feel the same great love for you ❤️ .
I’m 51 and I’m constantly in the mirror criticizing myself, it’s been really tough for me, being kind of a vein person lol. You’re so beautiful and I admire how you keep your body in shape. That’s something I really need to work on 😂
I'm sorry you're going through this and I GET it. I have gone through the same issues. Especially in our 50's, there's an overwhelming message that aging=ugly. When is it ever going to be ok to age? When we're 80? Did you see Jaimie Lee Curtis on the Oscars? Clearly no fillers or Botox. But, she's gorgeous. Jordan Peterson says, "what we focus on is what we see." What we see is what we think is truth. The more time we spend on our cameras and viewing filtered images, that becomes truth to us. The more time we spend looking at people in real life (or just living for something other than just appearances), that becomes our truth. Of course, there's a balance. Aging is NOT an excuse to give up on yourself. And we all have different budgets for anti-aging. I don't get fillers or Botox or ANYTHING. BUT....I'm all about eating healthy, exercising, sleeping well, managing stress, dressing nice every day, wearing flattering makeup & hair. Other than that, it's ALL about relationships. I am blessed with health, family, and friends. Go for a walk. Smile at everyone and notice how theyre all beautiful in different ways. ♥️🇨🇦
You are one of the best you tubers I watch!! You are honest, very intelligent and always gorgeous!!! I really enjoyed this video! Thanks for sharing! I always wondered how people look so flawless on videos. To be honest, you looked flawless in any light!
In my opinion you could look mad because your eyebrows are too dark for your complexion, and even brunettes with very dark eyebrows look harsh or in bad mood. But you're stunningly beautiful under every light, I appreciate so much your honesty showing us this type of content ❤
I know what you mean. I'm a brunette with very dark eyebrows. I'm planning on lightening my eyebrows because I believe it'll soften my features. I think Jenifer would look even more amazing with lighter brows.
hi Jen, thanks for doing this video first of all I just want to comment on how gorgeous you looked to me in every single lighting option. Even the ones where you said you looked the worst. It did make me feel sad to hear you critique your “flaws” because I hope that you know and every time you look in the mirror I hope that you feel as beautiful as how we all think that you are! I’m 30 this year and would be thrilled to look like you do now let alone when I get to 50! 💕💕
I've commented this before...but I'm a 29 year old woman who loves watching you. You're such an inspiration to me because you're a beautiful person inside and out. Hopefully I can look as good as you when I'm 49! 🌻💞
So appreciate your vulnerability here! I am 33 and starting to really think about the aging process and how I want to handle it. You are so inspiring! We are always our own toughest critic, from an un-biased perspective you are a beautiful woman! You “out-hot” me for sure 😂 and I’m guessing you are early 40s, so I’m a few years younger. but you are inspiring me to take care of myself better and get out of this “frumpy” funk I’ve been in! Thank you for all your efforts with making these videos!
She’s such a beautiful woman and way TOO hard on herself. Honestly, it doesn’t matter the age, certain lighting can make anyone not look their best. She comes across so sweet which only enhances her beauty.
I’ve started seeing ultra HD videos on TikTok, my algorithm sends me the ones 35+ and I love them! And am seeing their follower count increase. Sure I like the thumbnail being beautiful or whatever but when they show up-close, um filtered under eye, I feel like I’m finally getting the truth! Show me pores! Lines! I’m 44 and I only have time for truth, results, honesty. Tell me what works and show me flaws!!! Also, you’re so gorgeous sometimes I think, welp, without starting at a 10 there’s no point in me even trying new techniques or treatments.
You 're really down to earth. That's refreshing. A boy called me "horseface" when I was in high school. That has stuck with me and made me self-conscious to this day. Why can't people just keep their comments to themselves? Ug!
thank you for posting this video and showing us your true beauty ,and tbh none of the lighting made any difference ,you did look beautiful in every area you tried ,a few wrinkles and lines doesnt change the amazing person that you are inside . i agree with taking care of ourselves and helping ourselves to feel the best that we can , this is not only good for you on the outside but also for your overall mental wellbeing too. oh, and thank you for the little tour around your home ,you are very fortunate to have such a beautiful home and family ,god bless you xx
Jenifer, it was very brave of you to “lift the veil’ so other women can see how you really look. You still look so pretty, just a little different in each location. Wishing you all that you hope and want from your upcoming eyelid procedure appointment. Hugs ~Janis
You are really brave doing this, most you tubers would never dream of doing something like this because they want everyone to think they are flawless. You are stunning, ring lights or not. I am like you I believe if it bothers you and you can do something about it then do it. I just turned 52 and I still feel like I am in my 30's but the mirror doesn't reflect it. I still get asked all of the time if I am in my early 40's, but without makeup on I feel like I look so much older. You look like you are in your 30's, you are such a rare beauty Jenifer. Thank you so much for posting this video.
Jenifer, I just have to say I love how authentic you are and I believe part of that authenticity probably comes from confidence. A woman confident in herself has no need to be inauthentic because she truly believes in who she is in life. I used to always tell my daughters that "confidence wins" and by that I meant, a confident woman excludes an air of knowing who she is and what her value is to the world. So thank you for being authentic and confident, and just an all around kind human being.❤
Wow, thank you so much!!! You’re a good mom! I tell my daughter something similar. I tell her that only SHE can determine her value. No one else! If she knows who she is and knows her worth, other people will recognize it too! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁 ❤️
You don't look worse in different lighting, just more "real", more 3-dimentional. I see my friend's lines, freckles, etc every day, and I never see them as less attractive.♥️🇨🇦
This is my first time on your channel and I saw the title and came into this thinking, "Oh, another one of those *this is the real me* videos that are still lit, posed, and edited to perfection." Imagine my surprise when you were fully transparent with us. As a photographer I'm well aware of how vastly lighting can change what our faces/bodies look like. It's also why I definitely have a favorite mirror in my house. 😂 I'll be 46 in July and am intent on aging gracefully. I have no desire to try to look like I'm in my 20s. I just want to look like a woman who takes care of herself at every age. For the record, you look phenomenal.....for ANY age.
Thanks for being transparent and real. Girl you are gorgeous! I wish I could be half as pretty as you are in bad lighting. I really didn’t see much difference. You are beautiful in all lighting!
Its hard to see changes as we age, and scary that we cant really control it. I see nothing wrong with any procedures or treatments to look more like we used to. But don't be so hard on yourself, you seriously looked great in all the lighting!
You were so funny when you were outside… lol 😂 Thanks for sharing with us with what most of us think of ourselves. I’m always critical of my looks too and I’m now 62. I look at pictures of myself from when I was in my 40s and 50s and think, wow, I wish I still looked like that! But, it’s alright to age… at least we’re still kicking! Thanks for your honesty! I can tell you have a sweet personality and a down to earth person!
You’re so sweet! Thank you! ❤️ You know, when I gripe about myself, sometimes my husband will say to me, “One day, 20 years from now, you’re going to look back at pictures of yourself and WISH you looked like you do now!” It’s his way of telling me to appreciate myself now, instead of picking myself apart. What you said made me think of that. ❤🤗
Isn’t funny how we look at those pictures and we think hey we looked good. I worked with young girls in a salon and they had someone take a picture of us and had if framed . I was like why would they do that to me They were young and beautiful. I put that picture up. I ran across it many years later and thought Gosh, I was not that bad looking beside those girls.
Jenifer, you look fabulous with or without great lighting! Seriously. Even if you didn’t have the box lights, I’d still watch your videos. You’re naturally beautiful.
You are goals! I’m going to be 40 this year and hope I look like you all the time! Aging is a gift denied to many! You are crushing it and awesome video!
Hi Jenifer., I've came across your videos today and I can't stop watching them.I can already tell you are such a kind caring person that has so much to give to others with your knowledge of nutrition. Im a 56 year old lady but I still feel young and just need to get in better health. I've tried so many diets and loose the 20 lbs that I need to but then always gain it back 😢I now realize it's a lifestyle change. I also think your beautiful very natural looking.,.. but I also love wearing makeup myself. I feel like it all just needs to be in balance 😊and our true beauty does come from within and pours out in our lives and around the people we love.Thank you for your videos ❤
I can 100% appreciate all of your feelings on how it is to age; seeing ourselves in different lighting, and watching our faces changing. Let me just say, the light that shines in you covers all of these concerns! Trust me! You are beautiful and God has blessed you, indeed! You are a blessing to us. Keep on shining⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jennifer - girlfriend you are so sweet and precious…and soooo honest and way to critical of yourself. I appreciate your content so much. You are a stunningly beautiful woman… even prettier without lighting, etc.
I love how you are beautiful and simple! And please, I do not mean "simple" talking about your intelligence. I watched the video and felt like I was listening to a friend! Love it! Thank you for that!
You look amazing even without filters. Aging is not easy even if you are thankful for life . I’ll be 42 soon and im definitely noticing changes. I remember seeing my older cousin without makeup and I asked her what’s wrong because she looked so tired, I realized years later that it was just the aging process so I don’t say those things anymore to anyone. But I remember even in my 20s when I went to work without makeup everyone thought I was sick 🤒 but it was just me without makeup and when I told my friends about it they said the same thing…….so even in your 20s with young skin you can look “sick” without makeup so I wouldn’t worry about that too much 😊
This video showcases that you're a gorgeous woman in every lighting. You are one of the few, authentic, women I follow on youtube. You're awesome! (PS - your home is stunning! )
I wholeheartedly admire your transparency and commitment to feeling and looking your best. Why is it so frowned upon? As someone who just turned 50, I am proud of the woman I am today - and I think you look phenomenal. While I am embracing the reality of aging I believe in optimizing our access to the various resources- make up, devices, creams treatments… etc My eyelids have also drooped and has impacted how my expressions form and while I am rested I can sometimes look tired. This is not a reflection of how I feel so in my opinion there is nothing wrong or bad about defining what attractiveness looks like for us. People who choose not to is totally their decision. To me, no matter how flawless, fit or fabulous someone looks at ANY age, harshly judging or criticizing someone instantly detracts from their own beauty. Keep inspiring and encouraging others to be their best selves. 😊
You look stunning in every scenario!! I was even picking my phone up, looking closely, trying to see what you were pointing out and I don’t see any difference or flaws. I’m very critical of myself in every aspect of my life but especially the way I look so I get it! We are our own worst critic but I promise there’s no lighting, room or situation in which you don’t look absolutely beautiful!! ❤❤
You’re definitely my motivator💕 you’ve inspired me in so many ways… taking better care of myself and staying healthy and thin! Self care is so important and it really pays off so thank you!!! 😘
You are drop dead gorgeous in any light! I totally get how you feel. We are all so hard on ourselves. I will be 45 this summer and my body is not where I want to be. It’s half my fault and half my medical issues but I am inspired to live healthier and age better. You have a gorgeous house too!!! ❤❤❤❤
I love that you said, “I don’t want to accept, just age.” I am so w you, I said the exact same. I take good care of myself and I am not going to give up on this only body I know to have. Also, btw you look absolutely gorgeous! You make 49 look healthy, plump and fresh! Thank you for setting the example that we can enjoy life and age beautifully at the same time.
Yay! A video about the incredible power of lighting! Thank you for being so candid about it. Yes, it drastically changes people's looks.. like suddenly everyone has the brightest eyes.. the blondest hair, the smoothest skin etc.. when in reality most people do not look like this whatsoever. And while I do appreciate you being honest about wanting to compete with all of the other RUclips influencers, which I do truly get the pressure of that.. but I still think you fail to see you're wilfully participating in this wide spread deception by doing what they're all doing. I get that you look much better in those lights, as everyone does, but you do know that this isn't the way you truly look like, so it is intentionally deceptive at the end of the day. Even the footage in front of the window without all of the lighting is deceptive, as it also acts like a natural filter and you know this. I'm 47 years old and know all to well about the challenges of aging eyes and the amount of makeup we have to wear to create an illusion, and how ridiculous that amount of makeup looks on a normal average day where you're running errands. Anyways, as much as I appreciate you making a video on this topic, and I truly do as this is a major issue in the social media community, you're still wilfully participating in intentional deception, period. As aware as I am of the immense power of lighting, and the magic it does to people's eyes skin & hair, it still gets to me subconsciously that I look nothing like this when I see myself in the mirror. I also don't have any fillers & botox and my eyes are naturally deep set, so you can imagine that aging is doing a number on me at this point. I think it is really sad that mature wiser women have nobody they can relate to in life, and social media is creating nothing but self hatred and depression in more mature women when they start to believe they're aging much more drastic than the women their age they see on RUclips. And that is very tragic. I think it's messed up that women are causing other women so much pain. Sure some are mentioning the deception of lighting here & there, but still continue to film in that way. So.. what's the point of acknowledging it?? I for one am done watching these type of RUclips videos as I don't want to be part of the problem. I think there's only one woman around our age group on RUclips who does her videos without the light deception and she's doing just fine views wise. I think this is a huge niche on RUclips and something a lot of us want to see. I for one am sick & tired of the cartoon looking skin, the ridiculously bright eyes.. and will not participate in this bullshit anymore by viewing it. Thing is, nobody needs these over the top lightings, and we would be able to see you perfectly fine without them. And this includes bright window- and sunlight, as those too are creating a massive natural filter as you know. Will the videos look as over the top glamorous? No, but they'll look real and relatable! And that is what especially maturing women need and want, not deception that leads to depression and low self esteem. I wouldn't want to cause this to other women and you shouldn't either...
I have to agree with @katja's comments. As much as I find Jenifer kind and gentle, as we all do, and enjoy some of her videos - like the one on what makes a successful marriage and the likes - and of course acknowledging how absolutely stunning she is, I find that she is obsessing over her physical appearance and while she does everything she can to maintain her beauty and fitness, I'm amazed how bottomless is her need for constant adoration expressed from behind a veil of faux-modesty. I don't understand it. It must be an ego issue, I cannot explain with anything else why she feels the pressure to do this. It may stem from local culture as well. I don't know and I'm not the right person to analyse her or anyone, I am just thinking out loud while trying to understand this phenomenon. I'd be curious to know how would she deal with it if she had different "beauty" genes. Would she feel the need to generate these videos? I doubt it. Her such videos remind me of my twenties when I looked really hot and was constantly bashing myself in front of others to try to make them feel better about themselves. I'd always show them my flaws, etc while I knew even with my flaws I looked much better than them but was masking all these narcissistic or whatever traits with the self-belittling comments. And then of course I couldn't understand why all these women were angry and sounding soooo jealous. :-) The peak of this was when one of my landladies saw my jeans on the drying rack which was mis-sized as 3, while my size was 5-6 and she commented on how thin I was to which I responded with my usual self bashing comments and she just lost it at that point and screamed at me from the top of her lungs "If you're fat, we (her daughter and her) are ELEPHANTS!" I of course was shocked and thought the lady was simply getting old and hating her aging process. It made me feel appreciate my beauty for a few minutes and then I continued to belittle myself in front of others "fishing" for constant approval and appreciation of my looks. I now lost the looks and it is exceptionally difficult, no amount of compliments can help me and I can't cope with it very well and now I find myself in the same position as my landlady was. I know Jenifer studied psychology and would be interesting to hear her take on this topic. I hope she can find peace with this issue (is it a self confidence problem?) - if it's a real issue for her at all. How would she cope with this problem if her aging wasn't as graceful as it is?
@@DalidaDI'm so sorry I just saw this reply as I was looking for an old notification on something... so, I'm sorry for the delay! But yes, you're spot on with everything you've said. I think a lot of us are well aware of the narcessistic ways in which beautiful women pick themselves apart as a way to fish for compliments, and it is nauseating. Unfortunately it is working, as you can see on this channel. And I'm not coming from a place of jealousy, although I definitely don't have her body.. I wish!! ; but am simply annoyed with women acting in such way. I too used to look fairly attractive, but I'm nearing 50 and aging is definitely doing a number on me. But I'm in no way as obsessed with looks and panicked about aging as Jennifer is. I know she's saying she's simply trying to look her best, but I think some of us can definitely see that it is more than that.. that she's heavily identifying with her good looks and super anxious about aging and not looking perfect anymore. I'm all for keeping yourself presentable and trying to look your best, but I won't obsess about it the way Jennifer seemingly does. I think she would fall into a deep depression and identity crisis if her looks were gone, and that's when you know that your sense of self is based on primarily shallowness, and that's not a good place to be.
This was so much fun. You look great regardless but it is so nice to see what different lighting affects us. BTW when I was a ten I teased my mom saying she had Vincent price hands but I liked them as they were so articulated. After I lost my hand baby fat at 25 I'm happy to have veiny hands too.
So cute! ❤ I feel similar in a way. My grandma told me ONCE that she had unattractive hands and that she ALWAYS kept her nails painted because of it. I never forgot that. And although I think I have ugly hands, I also Love them because they remind me of my grandma. ❤️🤗🥰
I loved your video because I really enjoyed getting to see your beautiful home! Now I want to know your weekly cleaning routine even more. It’s immaculate and you have no clutter (aside from the nude shoes, lol). I wish my house looked like that. I agree with what you said about comparison fueling you to be a better person. You are definitely someone I watch to motivate myself. I’m 43 with two sons, 12 and 16. As far as the lighting, you really do look gorgeous in each room. I appreciate your raw honesty with us. It’s refreshing. Thank you!
Thank you for making this video and talking about the issue. I am staunchly against filters, they are definitely out of control. I think they are doing a tremendous amount of untold psychological damage which has mostly flown under the radar. I think it’s distorting our perception of what a human being is supposed to look like, I also think it’s a large part of the reason why many women these days are looking like muppets and cartoon characters (at least that is happening here in SoCal where I live) but they seem completely unaware of how clownish and absurd they look. It was bad enough having to compete with airbrushed photos of genetically gifted models in fashion magazines from the 90s. This is a whole ‘nother level and it isn’t good. I notice it seems to be even worse in the Asian community and they have been relying heavily on filters for a very long time even before it became popular here in America. My partner is Taiwanese and I am disturbed by the beauty standards and invasive plastic surgery they have embraced. Some of the people in her friend group don’t even look Asian or human for that matter! Half the time when they send her photos taken at an event, they are heavily filtered and the women all look like anime characters. This is not a healthy trend and I’m just wondering how bad it needs to get before people wake up to what a harmful distortion it really is. This can’t be good for our psyches.
You look beautiful in every light, honestly ❤ love your videos. I just turned 40, and I’m often told that I look 30 - I keep fit, I eat well, and do all the things. And when that time comes that I feel I need some maintenance, I will absolutely explore my options. Thanks for being so real 🙂
I’m happy you made this video being 50+ i did not understand why i didn’t look like woman my age making videos, i cried that i was agreeing terribly. The second thing was i never had hooded eyes but i do now and i been thinking about surgery so thank you for showing the process i feel better about it.
I can relate to not want your neighbors to see or hear you outside making a video.I was outside filming a video of my newly highlighted hair to see what it looked like in the sun.I was also talking about it in the video.I was beyond embarrassed when I turned to see my neighbor sitting in his yard watching me 😅
To me, now you're even prettier to me, not less (😃). Changing with age is hard. Last night actually I noticed a lot of texture in my skin and I have a perpetual forehead wrinkle. It made me a little sad to be honest. My husband is 7 years younger than me and as time passes...wow...what will I look like when i am 60 and he is only 53? The MAIN motivation I have for wanting to look my best is for my husband and I don't apologize for that nor am I ashamed of that. And no, I will not have the beauty of a 21 year old when I'm 60 but I can try my best to look dang good "for being" 60! A woman's beauty does not remain forever...it DOES fade...and that is ok. And those women who are gorgeous right now at 21 years old will one day face the same journey and that's ok. What most matters is inner beauty...cliche but seriously, so true. And a husband will appreciate a wife who is kind, pleasant, warm and affectionate and who makes him feel like a king more than a woman who is JUST physically beautiful but is moody, selfish, and ungrateful. Thank you so much for being vulnerable with us. Your channel offers amazing content!
You nailed it!!! Everything you said is spot on!! And I'm the same way. I want to look nice for my husband, always! But more for me. Lol! And yes, inner beauty is what shines, no matter how old we get! ❤🥰
You looked so beautiful in every place you went, thank you for doing this, I like you even more now. I’m 43 and you look WAY better than I do, aging sucks! I wish other creators would do this too!
Jennifer, We are kindred spirits and feel the same way about aging. You're a love for keeping it real. Maybe you can keep us updated regarding your consultation. I'm not just saying this, but you look sooooo much younger than your years and have a young spirit . xo
why do people feel they can make comments about your looks? is it because you’re pretty, they feel u need to be humbled? is it jealousy? Girl, please ignore these rude ass people! IGNORE!!
It was interesting to see how light makes a difference but it is so slight. You look amazing in all the different lighting options. Thanks for all the great videos. I really enjoy your channel.
Thank you for making this video! It is SO refreshing to see the difference filters & lighting can make. You are so brave and gorgeous, even more so au naturel! You are such an inspiration and role model. Luv your vids!!! ❤️✨️
Lighting is everything. It really can change the way we look. I'm 56 and I had an upper and lower eye blepharoplasty almost 6 months ago. Best decision ever. I had more eye bags than you. (you have none!) But at 50 I didn't have any. It made a huge difference and on my upper lids. I have a lid again. I still have faint scars that only I notice. Let us know how your consultation goes and if you decide to have it done. I've only had botox and filler when I turned 52. I'm not doing the fillers now, just using the best medical grade skincare and hope my marionette lines soften up a bit. We are all the most critical of ourselves. Lighting and angles can change everything, for the better or worse!! Thanks for doing this video, very interesting and it's real life stuff!
You are pretty in every light, because your beauty comes from within and it shows. I’ve always heard that people can tell a woman’s age by looking at two areas of her body…her neck and her hands. As I’m getting older, I understand what they mean. People can get face lifts and fillers , etc. but there aren’t many treatments for the hands aside from moisturizer 😉
I love watching your videos🩷 I love that you are so detailed and real!!! You are so beautiful! And your home is beautiful and immaculate! Maybe you could do a clean with me?? Or a morning routine? 🩷🩷
So we all found together you’re beautiful with or without certain lights. We definitely judge ourselves much harder than anyone else does. You are beautiful hope you know that 😊
I think you still look beautiful with or without lighting. I guess some aren't sure about lighting. I want to age gracefully yet still do Botox if I want and fillers. Some people don't agree that's ok. We all need to do what makes us feel good. Thank you for your honesty. Keep being you. Your home is beautiful. 🌴
Jenifer…. You are beautiful with lights or not. Aging is very difficult…especially when you take care of yourself and still feel young on the inside. Thanks for your transparency! I am interested in the eyelid surgery as well. I am 53 and I am trying to stop the aging process as well. Thanks for sharing all of your tips!
You are gorgeous in every light! Your house is so lovely. I know I have said this before. It’s unbelievable how similar in taste that we have. Jenifer you are so incredibly authentic and always have been over the many years I have watched you. Thank you for always giving such great content. Continued Blessings and Support. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
This was super cool to watch. Your gorgeous/ flawless either way, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE your transparency to show your “flaws” . I compare myself poorly and am super hard on myself for not being or looking a certain way. This was so honest and open and I appreciate it so much for all us out here that is negative to ourself and our looks. Your home and life is so interesting to watch! You shld totally Vlog or something. It would be cool to see the raw real life situations . But completely understand why RUclipsrs would rather not and keep life private . ❤❤❤
Hey Jen! Girl I love you, I love your house, I love your plants! This was a great video! You are funny and absolutely gorgeous! Thank you girl! I too am 49. 5’3 110 lbs! I have 3 girls and I live in Houston. I am team Jen and I totally understand agree with what you are saying. I really love your videos so keep them coming girl. Im not bold enough to be on social media but I live vicariously through you! Lol!
This was such a great video idea! You look absolutely gorgeous in any lighting. Seriously girl! And I’m excited for you that you’re going on a consultation to possibly have your eyes done or a brows lift. There’s definitely no shame in that. You know where I stand on that topic, and sometimes the earlier you start some of these procedures, the better. Love you girl.💕💕💕💕💕
I couldn’t really see much difference! You look great in all the natural lighting! Love the fact that you can be so real with your audience! So many out there on RUclips are not out there! Beautiful lady inside and out! Xx 😘
Oh you are so gorgeous! I am so jealous of your weather. It’s freezing where I live and we are getting so much snow. Your home is beautiful, your dog is adorable, and you are a gem! ❤
This was interesting...not just from the perspective of us looking at you with or without lighting, but it's helpful for when we must set up an online meeting...take photos or videos...that sort of thing. I never pay enough attention to lighting and it truly does make a difference, That said--you look great in bright or dim lighting...I enjoyed this one, and learned from it. I also enjoy your meal-prep videos...more please...thanks so much😊😉👏
Thank you for all the great content you put out! I think you look amazing in any lighting. Your hair looks beautiful in natural lighting too! I would be honored to meet you in person. My hands look just like yours and I have always always thought that veins look so cool.
You're like, i am. Really self-aware of yourself. Most people are too ignorant to realize how badly they look, so they let themselves go and wonder how they got fat and old so fast. Taking care of your exterior is just as important as your interior. The people who usually say "just accept it" are usually ugly and gave up on themselves long ago. A woman's beauty is equivalent to a man being rich. That's what women need to accept, the TRUTH!
You are adorable ! I don't know many people that share their vulnerability as you do. I DO look up to you as a reference to keep myself continuing to care for my looks at 51. There is a tendency to avoid mentionning our hope to feel beautiful at our age. It is a good balance to accept ourselves in the aging process, and still thrive to be our best self. I feel you give me the OK to mindfully take steps to care for my apparence. I learned to keep my outlook in check because it is not well seen in my surroundings. Hearing wemwn like you and others I follow makes me feel allowed to want that superficial element in my life b3caua3 I do feel Joy looking my best. At this point, the Journey IS the objective. Yes I AM sudenly start working out at 51, and caring for my apparence 😊
This was a great topic! At 62 i have this whole how do i really look thought, running through my mind often! Each room and its lighting makes me look different. I get so frustrated by it. lol. I just don't know what i really look like anymore. 🤷
Yes, she's still gorgeous in any lighting 😍😍😍
Hi Jen, I’m 24, turning 25 next month. I found you on YT years ago while researching hyper pigmentation. I’ve loved your channel ever since, it feels like I am hanging out with my cool older sister!!! You give me so much confidence about aging gracefully and staying confident. Please never stop making videos, I could listen to you talk about paint drying! ♥️
We definitely are our own worst critics but I can tell you that you are equally gorgeous without the filters, maybe even more so 💕
You're very kind Becky! Thank you so much! ❤🤗
@Lèmon Lēe What a nice thing to say. Thank you so much! ❤️🤗
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty Thank you for this video. I miss your Venus hauls. Will there be any soon? I just received the new catalog and there is so much I want!
You are beautiful. You still look very young ,😊😊
You have the tidiest, cleanest house I've ever seen. LOL. I think what people admire most about you is how "together" you are.
So true ❤❤❤
You are STUNNING 24/ 7 and in ALL LIGHTS!!!!
So are you!! 😍🥰😘
You’re beautiful and seem so grounded and sweet. Your appearance proves that taking care of yourself pays off ! You have maintained your body weight, ate healthy, used sunscreen and followed a daily skin care regiment ! I hope all the younger women who follow you are taking notes !
I am and have been!
Well said
Today i found that I am very Thankful i never been extra beautiful i've nothing to lose. You beautiful people make me sad you're so sacred of losing your beauty
We got used to the good stuff 😂 just kidding 😅😅😅😅
Good point. It's hard for them to age
Thank you for your example to us who are 40+!🤩☺️😉
Right?! I didn't really notice s difference!
She's beautiful...perfect skin.people are so rude
Thanks for doing this. Mid forties here and embracing so many other beautiful things in my life besides looks. I stay off social media (other than RUclips), and fill myself with nature (125 acres), nurturing foods and my family. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in shape and look young for my age without any interventions other than retin-a, sunscreen and eating lots of plants. It’s easier to embrace the aging when you’re at peace with other parts of your life.
How beautiful!
She had nothing to worry about and she had the most beautiful things of all, her Love, grace, and dignity ❤
I’m sure your kids must feel the same great love for you ❤️ .
Great comment!
I honestly don’t see much difference, you’re beautiful with the lighting and without!
I had dark brown hair all my life. Past years went gray naturally . Looks great but my eyebrows
look too dark also
hi Jen, thanks for doing this video first of all I just want to comment on how gorgeous you looked to me in every single lighting option.
“I don’t want to accept it”😂
You’re right! We don’t have to accept anything we don’t like and are capable of changing:)
Right?! 🙌😁💋
She's actually my age...she's turning 50 soon!
I think you’re so COOL for being so transparent and honest!!! Good for you!
Ug!
Someone called me horseface on my ig pic a few days ago. 😢
thank you for posting this video and showing us your true beauty ,and tbh none of the lighting made any difference ,you did look beautiful in every area you tried ,a few wrinkles and lines doesnt change the amazing person that you are inside .
i agree with taking care of ourselves and helping ourselves to feel the best that we can , this is not only good for you on the outside but also for your overall mental wellbeing too. oh, and thank you for the little tour around your home ,you are very fortunate to have such a beautiful home and family ,god bless you xx
@@JeniferJenkinsBeauty Merry Christmas and may God continue to bless you and your family.
I'll be 46 in July and am intent on aging gracefully.
Jennifer this why we love you… you are honest, true and real btw your beautiful inside and no matter what lighting❤
Its hard to see changes as we age, and scary that we cant really control it. I see nothing wrong with any procedures or treatments to look more like we used to. But don't be so hard on yourself, you seriously looked great in all the lighting!
You look great with or without the lights! You are a natural beauty. 🥰
I was like why would they do that to me
They were young and beautiful. I put that picture up. I ran across it many years later and thought Gosh, I was not that bad looking beside those girls.
I love you even more now. What a delight to just have such a real person in this land of social media🥰
Jenifer, you look fabulous with or without great lighting! Seriously. Even if you didn’t have the box lights, I’d still watch your videos. You’re naturally beautiful.
So sweet! Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
Thank you for saying such nice things, it means so much! ❤🥰
I love how you are beautiful and simple! And please, I do not mean "simple" talking about your intelligence. I watched the video and felt like I was listening to a friend! Love it! Thank you for that!
What a sweet thing to say! Thank you so much! ❤️🥰
Great and honest video. We can be our own worst enemies. Thank you for being so vulnerable. You’re beautiful inside and out!
But I remember even in my 20s when I went to work without makeup everyone thought I was sick 🤒 but it was just me without makeup and when I told my friends about it they said the same thing…….so even in your 20s with young skin you can look “sick” without makeup so I wouldn’t worry about that too much 😊
Yes my cousin was hunching... and it was the aging process. He looked better after he past that phase ...
While I am embracing the reality of aging I believe in optimizing our access to the various resources-
make up, devices, creams treatments… etc
My eyelids have also drooped and has impacted how my expressions form and while I am rested I can sometimes look tired.
I don’t think you look any different. You are beautiful with light and without light!! ♥️
You’re definitely my motivator💕 you’ve inspired me in so many ways… taking better care of myself and staying healthy and thin! Self care is so important and it really pays off so thank you!!! 😘
You truly look terrific in every setting! Each version of lighting did not take anything away from you
You are just so darn likeable!!!! You are just as beautiful lights or no lights but your inner beauty is the brightest 😊
You are drop dead gorgeous in any light! I totally get how you feel. We are all so hard on ourselves. I will be 45 this summer and my body is not where I want to be. It’s half my fault and half my medical issues but I am inspired to live healthier and age better. You have a gorgeous house too!!! ❤❤❤❤
🥰 What a selfless video to share with all of us. Thank you for caring about your subscribers so much…❤ You are beautiful in any lighting my friend!
I love how open you are . Your personality is soo cute and refreshing .
Thank you!
Honestly... you look absolutely AMAZING in ANY light💜
I agree 100%
I love how honest you are in your videos. You are beautiful inside and out. ❤
I'm not just saying this, but you look sooooo much younger than your years and have a young spirit . xo
You could do no wrong in my eyes. You are so stunning, your family is lucky to have you! Praying for a great consultation. Love always 🌺
You look stunning in real life, I actually love your hair in its natural light!
why do people feel they can make comments about your looks? is it because you’re pretty, they feel u need to be humbled? is it jealousy?
Not true. You can fill your hands too... believe it or not.
You’re so right Jennifer!! Anyone who doesn’t think so, is in denial or just a special small percentage. Loved another real video! 👏🏻
You don’t need filters you’re beautiful as you are! I think we are our own worst critic.
You still looked fabulous in each and every lighting... but so kind and honest of you to show us all. XOXO
Thank you so much! ❤🤗
I love your transparency and willingness to be real. Thanks for all you do for us!
Your honestly is so greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your honesty, so refreshing! I really enjoyed this video!😊
Thank you for being so transparent! You look great!!!
You definitely went above and beyond for this video! You look great no matter the lighting!
Thank you for doing this! You’re right. Getting older is no joke. And your pup is adorable!
