Thanks for the great video, I have a C280 withe same AC control, my center dash vents does not open, is there a code for that within the control unit? Thx
Scroll through the video's description, all the codes are there. I've also got a video on how to address vents not working (it's a big job, but totally possible to turn it around in a weekend if you have a garage)
@@PatsCarGarage thanks for video. my car is w202 1996 model. My car's climate control unit is the same as yours. I have a problem. always the same fan parts are blowing in the car. center console fan not blowing. step control does not work. it always blows the same way.
I had to when I put the Continental radio in, the upper slow has a separate plastic frame that can be modified to fit the frame the Continental radio comes with. This gives it a tight fit and allows the Continental specific radio keys to work (so you can't bust in, yank the radio out and leave with it).
Hello, i have a Mercedes W202 C200 1999 automatic transmission , i have A/C issue with, when the A/C is on it is hot, not blowing cool , if someone know how to fix please guide me. thank you.
Hello everyone, I replace the condensor, compressor, canister and expansion valve , i pull out vacuum for 30 min and add (12oz ) about i can of r134 freon with the engine off, now I start the car and the control does not move from 72 degrees so the compressor does not engage to recharge any idea how to fix/reset the temperature control? Thank you
One can of r134a is not enough. I don't know which model you have but Mercedes of this vintage typically require 2 cans (sometimes a little bit more). With that being said, even with 1 can, the compressor should start, I suggest you follow the procedure from my video and find what the error codes are.
Well basically, if you read the description, you'll see all the possible version codes to use. You have to figure out what equipment corresponds to your car. Pre-facelift all uses 00P because there is no K2 serial interface on pre-facelift cars. 08P should only be used for diagnostic reasons on pre-facelift (same for 10P on facelifted cars). If you have a facelift, you'll either use 02P if you have a fan clutch, or 18P if you have an electric engine cooling fan. 32P would be for fan clutch without aux fans (I've never seen a car with just the mechanical fan). I'm guessing it's used as a temporary mode if the aux fans / fan controller are broken. The engine can get quite hot if you are idling with the AC on and without aux fans.
You should be fine as long as you are careful with the version coding menu, for the 2 other menus, there isn't anything you can do which will break something.
Concise, informative, and a big help for me. I'm working on my first Benz- a C220 1995 model.

@@yavuzsanane2077 you should vacuum test the actuators make sure they aren't leaking
How do I set the outside or inside temperature to the climate control panel?
you don't
Did you switch the positions of the radio and climate control? That's neat though

@@sincerity7 No, if your flaps are malfunctioning, you need to replace them. I have a video on my channel for that too.

Get an A/C technician to diagnose and fix your car, it's the quickest and cheapest way to get it fixed.

Does anybody know what version code you are suppose to have related to year and model? And does it have anything to do with the software status code?
