In the US, anything labeled ‘hard’, as in ‘hard cider’ , ‘hard lemonade’, or ‘hard soda’, contains alcohol. As opposed to ‘soft drinks’, which don’t.
What about hard on's?
@@Sandman60077 That is seltzer with powdered Viagra added.
@@rich_t
Lmao, that needs to be a mixed drink. The “Hard-on”, with club soda, splash of vodka, and a crushed Viagra tablet stirred in
@@coyotelong4349 alcohol + viagra = double the headache. And heartburn.
‘Seltzer’ typically refers to fizzy. ‘Seltzer water’, ‘sparkling water’, and ‘soda water’ all have the same meaning in American English, I believe.
And Hard Seltzer... the ridiculous mix of carbonated water and alcohol.
@@Wiley_Coyote 😋
@@Wiley_Coyote So "ridiculous" that it has a HUGE market in a span of few years, just saying.
Carbonated, “fizzy”. Perrier and San Pellegrino is seltzer water.
@@janew4609 And Pellegrino’s bottles and cans have labels that read ‘natural sparkling water’.
The Budweiser seltzer advert, the mayor of Flavor town is Guy Fieri. A professional chef who had a show on the Food Network called "Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives". He'd go all over the country checking out this little eateries with some really good food. You should check out some time. When I was traveling for work I'd always look to see if where I was going had a place that was featured on "Dinners, Drive-Ins and Dives".
Also known for being really loud, annoying, and with a whole bunch of side hustles to monetize his status.
Yea they should react to the best of dinners drive in and dines. It will show them some places to come when here
@@Wiley_Coyote whole lot of side hustles? So he works hard?
@@Wiley_Coyote no that is you
All the Guy info and nobody going to mention that he is the mayor of "Flavor Town" which is something he says is all or damn near all of the DD&D episodes?
Seltzer is just another word for carbonated water. And “hard” means alcoholic as opposed to soft drinks, like soda
The Budeweiser Clydesdale commercials are always the best.
You need to review the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials! They are true classics!!
My favorite
I agree classic Budweiser Clydesdale are the best!
I’ve requested they do the Budweiser Clydesdales a couple of times, but nothing yet. Too bad, because they’re the very best!
These were by far the worst Superbowl commercials, ever. By far. Oh my goodness. 😳
Clydesdale commercisls have always been the best!! 🐎❤
just a heads up Walkers and a lot of other brands are actuallly owned by the US version and just rebranded for sell in the UK. So in short Walkers is Lays!
You could learn this info on Lost in the Pond.
well they do mix up the recipes for different health standards and taste in different countries the best examples of this is Coca-Cola's which just cranks up as much sugar as they can legally put in the soda
The beautiful young lady that sang the national anthem is from my hometown! So happy for her! She nailed it. ❤🏈🎵🎤🇺🇸
Wow! Who else is from your hometown?
Dork
Yes she did!
@@Sandman60077 🤣🤣🤣
I don't think they even realized that Zeus was Arnold.
I didn't until about halfway through honestly but then I really heard the accent come through.
Seltzer is another name for carbonated water. When something is Hard, it means contains alcohol.
There are some that are repetitive but almost nostalgic like the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials which are beloved by many.
I don't even drink alcohol, and I still love the Budweiser Clydesdales ads!!!!
You do need to watch the Budweiser Clydesdale or any of the Budweiser commercials
These were pretty horrible.
I love watching you two so much!! You are both so down to earth and enthusiastic at the same time. Thank you for making me appreciate living in the US even more.❤️❤️✌️
I could tell the Guy Fieri “flavortown” commercial went over your heads (which is totally understandable hahaha)
Lol. Good for them. We're not exactly proud of him. He's a cliche for good reasons.
Guy fieri is fun to watch
You should do a reaction to budweiser superbowl commercials over the years
In my opinion they are the best out of all of them definitely worth watching
You should watch the bud Weiser commercials with the Clydesdales they are great
Hi there British Couple, a great reaction vid to these 2022 Superbowl commercials...
Her reaction when you tried to get her to do the "Sally sells seashells..." tongue-twister was priceless, she said: "No, I don't... I'm not gonna... I don't know the whole thing..."
In her head, I can tell she was thinking something like this: "Hell no... I'm not even going to try that... If he thinks I'm gonna flub my way through those words on the internet, he best change his mind..."😏😁🤣
Paul Rudd's more known roles of the 90s were in films like Clueless, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Meyers, and Romeo + Juliet. His first film that had Seth Rogen was Anchorman, where Seth had a cameo, and then of course they didn't really work together until The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.
I love Paul Rudd, he is hilarious - which may be one reason he was chosen this year's People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive! Funny is sexy.
The best Super Bowl commercial is always the one by Budweiser that have the Clydesdale horses.
Super Bowl commercials can cost multi-millions of dollars and in some cases they will only play once, during the game itself. Can you imagine spending 2 or 3 million dollars only for the commercial to air once? It happens more often than you’d think.
I didnt think there were really any stand out commercials this year
Ads don't repeat much at the Super Bowl. Some ads are cut up into segments "to be continued" later during the game.
Yeah, like 2019's baby nut commercials. Cut up into 2 commercials
I Don't watch football, so I wait until they are on RUclips. Seen this in the search results and it made my day. Getting to watch them for the first time with you guys is an honor.
Super Bowl LIV | Johnny Cash's "Ragged Old Flag" | Tribute to America, is the best commercial from any of the Super Bowls, EVER!
I want to see you guys react to the halftime show. You folks are a little young for the music but for those of us in the 40s....it was the best times of our lives when it came out.
I was never a big fan of sport, but I still kinda love Superbowl parties mostly because of the snacks. Also, I get to annoy people by referring to it as the Superb Owl.
Walkers was acquired by Frito-Lay in 1989.
At the price they are paying they only run 1x during the game...BUT for the next few months they will get replayed for other shows or sporting events. Did you know "Zeus" was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger? His wife was played by Salma Hayek. You will notice a LOT of ads for electric cars. We also had a ton for Peacock - the NBC streaming service (the game was on NBC)
These are strictly for the Super Bowl. Their regular adds are 15-30 seconds and not so detailed but often a shortened version of these. Glad you enjoyed them. You will have to get a PO Box so we can send you some Lays. They are very good.
the lays commercial was all the superbowl adds they've been in together
You are correct Lays is Walker's.
$7 million for 30 seconds. Crazy.
My favorite commercials were the sappy ones. I loved the little robot dog, the healed horse, and the revived characters. Robot dog made me cry, which was a change from screaming at the TV.
Robot dog got me too.
Soft drinks were used as mixers for alcoholic drinks [which were termed hard drinks]. During Prohibition, you could still buy and drink soft drinks, and soda jerks were basically bartenders. After Prohibition ended, you had soft drinks as mixers again, but also the market for soft drinks alone. Since then, competition between beverage companies have fought for market share with regular, diet, caffeine free, sugar free, new flavors and more. Bottled water became the next big market. Then the hard drinks like hard cider, hard lemonade, now hard seltzer to come full circle.
As an American I was totally unimpressed this year with the commercials
There were a few that were nice, okay, not a total waste of 30 seconds of my life, but none that I was like "oh, I need to share that with someone!"
Woke nonsense
Funny! Guy Fierri is the host of an American TV show called Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (Triple D) one of his nicknames is "The Mayor of Flavortown" The show highlights local restaurants all over America.
Seltzer is simply water with carbonation. Its often called club soda among other names.
Seltzer drinks have carbonation. Hard drinks have alcohol, except for hard water, which has chemical deposits in it
if you're going to do rules of the NFL I recommend you split it up into categories, like positions, strategy, and then rules so you get the full breakdown
Jerod Mayo (the linebacker in the first commercial) is his real name New England Patriots legend and super champion.
It was a ripoff of the Terry Tate Office Linebacker commercial...
The Superbowl is practically a holiday in the U.S.
From what I read an ad for Super Bowl 56 that runs for 30 seconds costs upwards of 6.5 million.
Dr. Evil is a character from the Austin Power movies, which were comedy spoofs of James Bond movies.
Literally one of the worst years for super bowl commercials. Like 2 maybe were good.
I agree with others who commented that 2022 wasn't the best year for the Super Bowl commercials. If there's a compilation of the Budweiser Clydesdale horses commercials from previous Super Bowls, they're well worth the watch, as others have commented.
6:57. Famous TV chef. Many of these commercials have people famous in the US.
Bud Light seltzer is the only seltzer that is made with malted rice, which gives it a nicer taste. My personal favorite is Bud Light black cherry hard seltzer. There's also Bud Light platinum seltzer, which has 8% alcohol.
Seltzer is like a mineral water, a carbonated soda water!
Seltzer is a description of the type of carbonation. It is carbonated water with some salt in some brands.
The 'in charge' guy with the shades the bought the bucket-o-drinks to is Guy Fieri, a very famous chef here in Murica, in case you didn't know!
THX, since I missed the game. Seltzer is carbonated water but Hard Seltzer is a brand.
I would LOVE to see you guys do a video of your bloopers.
seltzer is like carbonated water. water with the bubbles in it. so basically it is like alcohol soda.
A thirty second ad in the Super Bowl costs $7 million. You will never see the same ad twice, but some brands (ie. Budweiser) will run multiple different ads.
My favorites were: Michelob Ultra Bowling, and All Electric Chevy Silverado The Sopranos
Hi Guys, Terry here from Canada. I normally don't reply to videos but I find myself compelled to answer to you two for this video. First, I love your content, hones and ,well naked, so to speak(don't take that that the wrong way). But we as Canadians see these commercials and the Superbowl the same way as you do. Tis a good spectacle of commercialism yet an AMAZING spectale of sport. Let's face it, these players are awesome! BUT!!! Bring on Hockey and Canada, and the World.... Now that"s something SUPER! Just saying. Love the videos, keep them coming EH? lol. God Bless from Canada.
They tend to edit and shorten the commercials for playing later, so you really only see the whole long one during the course of the Super Bowl itself.
I’m surprised those were the top 10…there were many that I thought were better than these.
I got an ad in the middle of watching these ads.
I felt like a time portal was about to open up.
I'm so glad you're doing the commercials.
Love you guys. It would be so awesome for you to be here in the states during the Super Bowl at a Super Bowl watch party and vlog the entire experience from the food, to the drinking, commercials, halftime show, etc... Id say a vlog from the game (because that would also be insane), but tickets to the Super Bowl itself are insanely expensive, so even for a die hard fan like me, that's a hard pass. Maybe, given the right circumstances, like if the Chiefs went back to it and played in the Dallas stadium...... I may possibly bit the bullet and go, but Mahomes played his college football at Texas Tech in Lubbock, which is where I'm from. That's probably the only condition where I'd ever seriously consider going to the actual game.... well, unless I won the lottery.
Seltzer is simply carbonated (soda) water.
It’s different ads usually every break and they don’t repeat the same ad every year
Yes check out the halftime show. It was a nostalgic west-coast music concert. I loved it 😏👍
Copyright music.
The halftime show was amazing too
The halftime show was epic. It was Hip-Hop royalty on display, they had the entire stadium rocking. Definitely worth watching!
It was terrible, coming from an old guy.
Coming from an young guy it was awesome. If you don't like that, you don't like Hip-Hop
@@DG31000 exactly.
@@michaelsmith-iu1be what would you have preferred?
@@DG31000 anything but. maybe a marching band. actually 70s rock and roll but theres hardly any remaining.
Oh God those ads were dull. So much better in the past.
Now you see why some Americans think our Super Bowl commercials are highly overblown. They’re nothing but ads, they pay millions for him because there’s millions of people watching but they’re nothing but ads that most of us just used to go take a piss. If you did the top 10 best Super Bowl commercials of all time she might find some funny ones but they’re definitely not on this year, commercials just amounted to Piss Time again.
Much love from America!
Seltzer is just carbonated water, and sometimes it's flavored, but in the last handful of years there's been a big fad of alcoholic flavored seltzers becoming popular, the most common one probably being the brand White Claw.
La la de it's me the D O double G Snoop Dogg! Snoops crypt walk kills me every time 😅😂😅🤣😳🙄😂😅🤣
Alot of these commercials are based on movies or with popular actors so if you don't watch movies you may not get the humor.
They usually dont rerun the same ad in the same super bowl. There is one that i saw that wasnt on there with ultra light with Payton Mannion that was really funny. Plus there is a whole bunch of commercials that led up to the superbowl from lays potato chips that are pretty funny with a lot of famous football players that you might enjoy. Check those out
Too bad you guys didn't get to see all the other commercials that aired during the 2022 Super Bowl, there were a few more I think you guys would have liked...
The Amazon one with Scarlett Johansson & Colin Jost was probably my favorite of the ones they didn’t watch.
Almost got your food package together will be shipping tomorrow
Thank you so much!
Fram the beginning of the game until the end, ads are not repeated.
The brand is Budweiser, Bud Light is a lower calorie version of regular Budweiser beer. Seltzer is carbonated water. It has long come unflavored and alcohol free for mixing with liquor in various drinks, and now also comes in flavored versions with alcohol included.
This year's SB ads weren't that great compared to previous years
I agree. I'm not impressed.
Agreed, it's been a weak few years.
The bud light cola flavors are goooood!
Seltzer is the plain carbonated water. You can put it in Chocolate milk to make an egg cream. People drink Seltzar for an upset stomach. It makes them burp.
They missed some of the funnier ones.
The Larry David one was the funniest
This year's commercials were disappointing. Nothing too impressive.
The only good commercial was the Uber Eats commercial where Cooper says "That bag is a liar" 😅😅
I agree. They seem to be getting worse the last few years.
I felt like the commercials this year were weaker than in past years.
Yeah I also felt like I already watched the Bud light commercial multiple times just with different characters. Pfft
Same
The GM Commercial was my favorite. I love Mike Myers and Seth Green (Voice of Chris from Family Guy). I think the Austin Powers Movies are hilarious.
Super Bowl ads are special as you notice many celebrities in them alas here in the US we have boring ads as well most of the time
Yes please do the half time show and previous halftime shows!!!
Seltzers have become big over the past few years. Different companies have different flavors.
Bud light is the newest in the Seltzer war.
During the Super Bowl, every commercial you see is different/new because companies aren't going to waste the millions ($6.5 this year) it takes for a 30 second slot to re-show the same ad multiple times (not counting production costs). If a company has multiple ads during the Super Bowl, they will all be different. They DO repeat those ads (since they've already spent the millions making them, they need to get their money's worth out of them) after the Superbowl for a while (maybe a week or two afterwards). But no, because it's so expensive, you don't get repeat ads during the Superbowl. The Superbowl is known to have the best ads of the year (most watched event every year), so half of viewers watch for the football, and the other half watch for the ads and halftime show.
I can't believe they didn't have the Meadow and AJ Soprano for Chevrolet ad. That was the best IMO. And the Larry David ad was great, too.
The longest of these ads will seldom be seen in their full length again. Air time is too expensive.
They were created specifically for their airing during the Super Bowl for the huge audience that that one game has. Advertisers spent an average of $6.5M to air their 30 second commercial during the game. That did not include the cost of production.
Lay's Potato Chips are the best I know. They don't travel very well because of their thin, crispy fragility, nor are they strong enough to be very good for dipping, but they sure are good. The sour cream and onion ones are great, too. Also fragile. Corn chips are better for dipping.
Seltzer means sparkling or carbonated. The last guy tackled in the mayo ad is a Saturday night comedian Pete Davidson.
These commercials were brutal. They've gotten worse over the past decade or more. Everything's simply retreaded material and those that aren't, simply try to keep your eye on it with CGI. If you want to see actual original SB commercials, check out those from the 90s. SB commercials used to be a thing.
Early 2000’s commercials were good too.
Those 2022 commercials reek of desperation to entertain, but fall far short, imho. The Mexican avocado entry is grade school-level writing, and like so many of them, rely on sight gags to carry the ball.
@@sprROINGG I thought the Nissan commercial was pretty good. We all got to see Batista in it.
Must watch the EPIC halftime
Not going to lie, the majority of these were just pathetic. Nothing near as good as the Super Bowl commercial heyday. You need to check out:
- the 1992 Pepsi commercial with Cindy Crawford
- the Budweiser frogs of 1995
- Old Spice commercials from 2010 to about 2015
- Snickers in 2010 starring Betty White
- the one-second Miller High Life commercial
- ALL the Budweiser Clydesdale ads (personal favorite is "Streaker")
- the Coca-Cola bears (not always funny, but usually very cute)
Honorable mentions to the Doritos contest commercials and Apple's 1984 ad. Also, I don't think Budweiser has come out with a bad Super Bowl commercial since the Clydesdales first showed up.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was Zeus!
You didn't catch the funny double entendres of Pete Davidson saying he's very hitable. Funny stuff!
I wonder if you guys understood all the Austin Powers jokes. Those movies gave me great laughs back then. Mike Meyers is a genius.
I’m so old, I remember when Super Bowl ads were funny.
Seltzer is what we call Carbonanted Water.
Somebody send these guys some White Claws and tater chips. The flavors of liberty! Oh say can you seeeee...
The 1st commercial about mayo featured an ex football player nsme Jerrod Mayo. He played for the New England Patriots. Just trying to put some context on it.
you need to watch the greate's super bowl commercials ever
