A very recent announcement was also made for the removal of the "erotica" score system in the Dead Rising remake as well. It's disappointing that multiple games are being sanitized of sexual content when games like Baldur's Gate 3 have full nudity and sex scenes and are all rated Mature for a reason... Seemingly mentalities have changed since the 2000s and companies are deeming this older content as sexual objectification nowadays. A real shame that companies won't stick to the original content in their older titles for fear of bad press or some backlash.

If you haven't played the Original Witcher 1, you should play it, as we know remake will be different from original, it's a whole different experience, I didn't like it and didn't understand it at start, but as I kept playing it got better better, due to my lifestyle I don't have much time to enjoy the games I play I rather focus on finishing them so that I could play more games in the time I got, but this is one the games that I actually enjoyed playing and didn't want it to end.
So no more collecting cards....I do not like this decision at all. I loved that part. I played 3 times that game just to collect all card, because you have to play it many times because some decisions lock you out of some cards.

Then a while after, they released the Enhanced Edition anyways. I hope they leave that door open again for those of us who want the original game experience without censorship.*

I have 1 but I couldn’t get over how clunky it was so I haven’t played it much but I started with 2 when it came out and beating it on dark mode I love that game it’s my fave in the trio

the problem with the undressed women's card is that it oversexualizes the female sex thus reducing their purpose in the game to only be of sexual nature. women are perceived as a collection card. i am a male but i can see how degrading that must be to a woman playing the game. not to mention that all of the women in the game have a really deep clavage that shows nearly half the breasts. don't get me wrong, i love boobs like every average joe but in the end we have to consider respecting the possessors of such boobs and not reduce them to only that. hope that answers your question. all the best!

Still in concept stage 2 years after announcement. A game that has already been made with full story and direction. Seriously.... It just needs new graphics, animations and so on. It's not like it's an entirely new game, even if different to an extent. Also this game was really needed to come out before Witcher 4 to hold us over for a while. Cyberpunk is done and Witcher 4 is not coming out anytime soon. And neither is a Cyberpunk sequel.

I loved the Witcher 1 timing based system of combat. It allowed for you to watch cool choreographed Witcher movesets while still requiring you to pay attention. The Witcher 3 moveset is bland in comparison like playing Oblivion, they didn't even implement a Sekiro parry/riposte system to keep some witcher feel around, just swing, block and dodge like a Dark Souls game.
Hopefully, The witcher 1 die gambling system is retained and exists in parallel to a proto-gwent. Maybe that proto-gwent will use those same cards you acquire from the in game conquests. I don't think they will be removed, probably enhanced instead, yes I am referring to the sex cards.

I am really excited for the the witcher 4 but I am even more excited for the remake. I did play the Witcher 1 but I never finished it and I have tried to go back to it multiple times but the game play is so out dated and clunky I have never been able to make it very far. I played the first game. It had bad path finding. Geralt would constantly get stuck on things.
I never finished it and its too old to go back to now.

I first played it around the time of the Witcher 2 and it was already pretty out dated.
Hope they don’t obey to political correctness and diversify agenda and completely ruin the franchise in the games as well, following the Netflix series.

It's going to be a woke DEI/ESG mess, the writing is quite literally everywhere. Which works for games like Cyberpunk which are in a futuristic setting, but pushing all of that stuff on a story set in what is essentially medieval Poland is not going to work.
