Woah! Nearly 12K views? Thanks everyone for the support! Some context: this was one of the first songs I imported to Guitar Hero 2 Deluxe to test the mod, with this being my first and only attempt. I honestly expected to fail at the beginning of the main solo (considering how much tougher GH2 is compared to GH3), so getting as far as I did was a complete surprise to me.
@@omgrapist There was a software you could find to put custom songs on GH1 and GH2, and a lot of people downloaded this song for GH2, and one version has the tapping intro technique, and the other version has just the electric guitar part that plays over the acoustic guitar.
lolz Right on the homestretch too. Even with the engine improvements, songs like this one, are going to be really hard. There's a reason why the TTFAF custom charts for GH2 were different. If only I could recall who made the video explaining why...
From my understanding, in GH1, 2, and 80s, the game doesn't recognize forced notes. Meaning, If you place two notes, with the second one a tick before being a quarter note in relation to the first one, the game will always make it a HOPO. In GH3 onwards, they have what is called forced notes, where charts support having notes like that being a strum note. Any feature introduced in later games (so tap notes, forced notes, HOPO chords, extended sustains, etc.) get automatically converted to work on the GH2 engine to a basic strum or HOPO note. That's why a strum note in GH2 may be a hammer-on in GH3, or vice-versa.
What's bad about the first 2 games engine? Because I heard when I was trying to unlock the precision mode cheat on guitar hero 3, and the site I saw to do the cheats mentioned that turning it on would make the game similar to guitar hero 2's engine
@@m0istur It's hard for me to say the first two games' engines are objectively "bad" (if anything, GH2 is my favorite engine in the series). The timing window was easier starting with GH3, with the games before being much more strict in terms of when a note will be registered as being hit. Like Rock Band 3 vs. Guitar Hero Warriors or Rock, you either like the strict timing window, or you like the looser engine that lets you play more. GH1 is its own beast. It has the strict hit window that GH2 has, no hyperspeed, and HOPOs are handled completely differently than all the games after it. It's sort of like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 or the first title in any series. It's fun to play initially, but it's tough to play later when you consider all the quality of life improvements made in future titles.
but hey! you did something that most gh played wouldnt bother doing, but here you are doing it either way and you did good at it until the end of the song, good job! ^^

It's amazing how popular this song was for GH2's downloadable content that they made this part of the setlist for GH3.
This was gh2 dlc?

yeah such a crap song
@@lubyou1853 The only thing I hate about the song is how hard it is. On easy, it's really passable. On any other difficulty, it's a major struggle.

This looks like me trying to play the actual chart in Clone Hero
Am i the only one who thinks he looks a bit like stevie t .?
Try running this through the first games engine. Good luck 🤞
I'd fail in the first 15 seconds, would make for a very short video. If only I could figure out how to import customs into GH1, lol.
It’s beatable but I don’t think anyone in this planet can fc it on gh1
@@SouthPlaya idk how tight the strum engine is, or if it has a nps limit, but otherwise it should just be like an all strum version

7:25 NO!
I bet the developers never played this song on Extreme difficulty. 😅
And stephen got flames FCd on stock GH2
Bad thing about mods is they always forgot to animate the ligthings
i can only pass TTFAF on Guitar Hero Smash Hits i still never was able to pass it on GH3 but seein' it on GH2 engine gives me tha creeps lol
Thus was intertaining
fnaf broken door light sound
This is why the GH2 engine was ditched. Yet people want it back?..
Amazing run though!

To have fallen so far.

do you use an emulator?
You shouldn't tap the intro. It's easier if you just do it one handed
