honestly this brings back such interesting memories of me 14 years old trying to learn how to gold star this song. i allways thought that it was funky at parts but never realized that there was a strum limit, now it makes sense WHY it was next to impossible.
on ntsc it is impossible, without either a modded game or a modded guitar (basically a regular ps2/360 controller hacked up to be a guitar hero controller) you can't do it due to the notes per second allowed by the strum limit being lower than the notes per second required. on PAL it's barely doable on guitar due to the slower framerate
When younger I always knew there was some funky shit going on with GH2. I was constantly calibrating the guitar because it just felt like inputs were dropping or the audio/video was out of sync, something was wrong but I didn't know what.. Until today! Almost 15 years later.
Y’know, playing this game as a kid, you don’t realize just how poorly it ages in comparison to the newer entries in the franchise. I had no idea there was such an intense delay in strum input here
RB1 and RB2 had the same problem. It’s why Green Grass and High Tides was a top tier FC. I know there are others too but it is funny thinking about the fact that players weren’t hampered by their own ability but by the actual games ability. I think UKOG had some tough FCs before others because he played on the PAL version. Not to take away from him at all
@@MichaelMcCloud29 I really feel that the strum limit should be a setting that people could turn on and off (and adjust) at anytime instead of just being hardcoded. I understand that they're mostly there probably to mitigate the way some guitars would unintentionally overstrum over time due to worn out strum switches inside the controller. It would probably piss off a few casual players and potentially hurt sales if their controllers just keep overstrumming during play.
