On a whim I looked for them on Spotify today- they’re on there!
I had never heard of this band until I saw their documentary TV show when it came on network TV back around 1982 and I fell in love with this band. I purchased two copies of the resulting album (only one they ever did that I know of and I still have them) and then I never heard of them again. I never saw any reviews, articles, interviews, or anything that I recall. Google them and you pretty much find nothing. Weird huh??!! I'd like to know more of their story, whatever happened to them, etc. I would even like to see that documentary again. To my knowledge it's never been repeated or otherwise made available. Really sad because this band was great!

Yep. Saw it too back when it aired. Is no longer available anywhere. Keyboard player was Thomas Newman, who is a huge film composer now.
I actually saw them open for Split Enz at the Hollywood Palladium in May of 1982!
Thomas Newman is cousins with artist Randy Newman and amazingly does not have his time in The Innocents mentioned on Wikipedia. It’s like the band never existed !
I saw it, too The Innocents were put together for the show, which was about the band being put together for the show (?). I think they didn't score too high for credibility and I can understand a musician not including it on his cv. But this is a great song.
I kept all my albums from the's 70's and the 80's including Loverboy rappers deilght Adam Ant The B52's and many more

I would love to get all of the songs from this album into iTunes, sadly only about four are available on youtube that I can find. Anyone have all of them on mp3? Saw the same tv special in the 80's and bought the LP, and they still sound great to me.

I think they would've been more successful if they had a different name instead of 'the Innocents'.
It fit in with the times,you had a lot of bands doing it hence The Police,The Cars,etc...

Well, guitarist Tony Kowalski wanted to call the band "Trees of Mystery." In retrospect, I think "the Innocents" was a much better name.
