I know this is an old comment, but if you havent found out by now- You might still find the information relevant and interesting. The car in question in this video belongs to Akira Iida. It is indeed a racing variant of a 20v engine. It reportedly made around 250 hp @ 11,000 rpms- before being "detuned" for this street car wit ha rev limiter at just over 9000 rpms bringing the power down to 210 hp. Just google his name and ae86 for a build, its amazing. It is the car that inspired initial d
where can i find this complete series? it is a lo tof episodes staring with them building "the car" then trying to race it and then making there own fake "street racing club" i just want to get my hands on it.
I don't know Japanese so I couldn't really understand what he said. Also, I didn't see the video you mentioned where he weighted the rods & pistons etc. Now, regarding the oil cover, I won't say anything...Anyway, thanks for the heads up
The guy says its a group A 4age engine and besides didn't you see the last video the guy was getting the weight of the rods and pistons everything was being shaved to specific measurements, no normal 4age and surly not a silvertop was getting such high class treatment if it was not a A engine and the oil cover it said TRD for god sakes

@TakumiFuji01 , actually he opts a normal Silvertop 4AGE...then rebuilt it to the Gr.A specs. Watch the part 1 of the video and you'll know it.
Yes- But this swap wasnt nearly as common at the time this video was filmed as it is today.
thats not JUST a 4AGE. that is a Group A Silver top TRD 20V that are really really rare. its also the same one from the Initial D anime

thats a ae101, group a mtor pushing 217 ps dry sump and fully built with 30000 in parts balanced and forged to be top of the line.

You need more proof to prove your comment. Just because it's a silvertop with trumpets and no cam gear cover, doesn't make it a N1 silvertop.
