Although they may experience some good times together, it doesn't seem they will be able to be together without being "unequally yoked". There are some similarities in Islam and Christianity but there are many fundamental differences and depending on the level of devotion each have to their religion/belief system...the way of approach can be very different making life together a living hell. I wish them all the best separately and together...May Gods will be done!

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. How does it work & what issues will arise & how do you fight battles without being equally yoked

@@dannymcclendon4969 2 Corinthians 6:14 in the King James Version: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” The New American Standard Version says, “Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?”
      on another hand...:
For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so.

@@pinklady3059 to be clear, a Muslim man can marry a Jew or Christian (from the people of the book) but a Muslim woman cannot and is supposed to marry only a Muslim man.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14 believers in Christ are warned, “Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness?” While there may be affection and attraction, fundamental partnership and fellowship are lacking in an interfaith
So you guys have to separate. How are your kids gonna know what religion to follow. You will confuse them.
Trust me, I’m sorry Gods word. your marriage will not last
Your still going against God’s word and your own religious rules regardless and going away from God. Pray and repent your sins.
, John 14:6 - “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.” All of man's questions of life are answered in this verse

      1 Corinthians 7:12-14
To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

@Jonathan Kita this verse is for those out of the two one becomes a believer and the other remains an unbeliever. Thus verse is for them, not for knowingly marrying an unbeliever.

    Do Not Marry Idol Worshipers.
[2:221]. Do not marry idolatresses unless they believe; a believing woman is better than an idolatress, even if you like her. Nor shall you give your daughters in marriage to idolatrous men, unless they believe. A believing man .is better than an idolater, even if you like him. These invite to Hell, while GOD invites to Paradise and forgiveness, as He wills. He clarifies His revelations for the people, that they may take heed.

MARRYING FROM AMONG THE ‘PEOPLE OF THE BOOK’ IS LAWFUL (HALAAL) FOR A MUSLIM
      Quran 5, Verse 5:
‘’This day all good things have been made lawful to you, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And lawful in marriage are virtuous women from among the believers and virtuous women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, as long as you have given them their bride-gifts and married them, not taking them as lovers or secret mistresses. And whoever disbeliefs in faith (with Allah), his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.’’
This is what Allah has ordained. Muslims have to be very careful with ‘sentiments and socio-political constructs’ labelling Christians as unbelievers, and at the same time acknowledge and accept the fact that Allah (SWT) Has previously conveyed messages to mankind through Scriptures given to other Messengers before the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). In fact, central to a Muslim’s IMAAN (faith) is to believe in all of Allah’s Messengers (of which Prophet Isa PBUH, known to Christians as JESUS, is one), and all of Allah’s Scriptures (TAORAT, INJIL, ZABURAH, and the QURAN). The words and messages of Allah are always clear, and they are there in all of the Scriptures for mankind to learn, understand, and follow.
Yes, there are some Christians that have ‘adulterated’ the message conveyed to them in their Scripture, but there are also some Muslims who have ‘lost’ their faith in Allah with belief and worship of other things other than Allah. This takes nothing away from the messages that Allah conveyed to mankind through all of His prophets, and it does not give any man/woman the right to judge another fellow man/woman. Allah has ordained us to worship him, and he has conveyed to us exactly how to do it. He knows best and may He continue to enlighten us and guide our path.
