Sir how to open corrupted file ??plz help. This problem is Excel cannot open the file ........because the file formatboe file extension is not valid.veryfy the file has not been corrupted and that ta file file extension matches the format of the file .

Excel files have .xls or .xlsx file formats. if still showing corrupted in excel app inspite of having correct format, that means that file's data is corrupted.

You can follow these steps to repair and recover some of the data:
Repair a corrupted workbook
Open Excel App and Click File > Open.
Click the location and folder that contains the corrupted workbook. Then Select the Corrupted Excel file.
In the File manager's "Open" dialog box,
Click the arrow next to the "Open" button, and then click "Open and Repair."
To recover as much of the workbook data as possible, pick Repair.

make sure your office is 64 bit or 32bit.
for 64 Bit : find in program files
for 32 bit : find in program files(x86) under C Drive.

Xlsx is the latest excel extension & xls is the old one. You can select "save as" option to specify in which extension you want to save.
