I'm Guyanese and we're absolutely buzzing to host England and India on Thursday.
We hardly get to host the Anglo teams and whenever India do come it's generally and 2nd/3rd string side, we wouldn't have seen Kholi and Sharma otherwise.
On the pitch, I think most people are going on data that's a decade old, the pitches in the CPL here have been the most productive. But since we're in the middle of the rains it's hard to prepare. But let's go!!!
Looks like a repeat from the 2022 semi, India v England on Thursday afternoon...
ENG are lucky AUS decided to beat Scotland which kept ENG in the event....
There's no problem with the crowds in the West Indies. We can't have white ball World Cups all in England, India, Australia or SA, just because the crowds are big.
I think South Africa and Australia played exceptionally well against England. South Africa have looked the best team in the competition and played well against England and it could have gone either way. It's not been a great campaign for England so far and will be overall disappointing if they lose the semis but at the same time I think there's been knives out that haven't been jusitified.
Getting excellent NRR was a part of this format more so than any previous tournament, so treating that as somehow lucky or situational isn't reasonable.
Yeah, I mean they've won one game in a row.

England currently giving it the full Graeme Hick - wonderfully talented, thoroughly exasparating flat-track bully who can't quite deliver against the top players......
Are Eng the new flat track bullies?
New? they've been flat track bullies for at least 5 years in white ball cricket.
England's been lucky..... oman, Namibia & a washed up Windies team,...wont go beyond the semis in Guyana
England couldn't have asked for a better opponent in semis given our history in ICC knockouts.
PEAK SEPOY MOMENT
Stop saying “wee bit” it’s utterly ludicrous.
England's decision making has been dumb ( though not as dumb as Mitch Marsh's). Choosing to bowl 1st everytime in day-games, even after fully knowing that the pitch gets more and more difficult to bat on as the sun beats down.
But thankfully for them, there had always been a minnow around the corner, ready to be bashed and get England on their merry ways again.
This comment turned out to be prescient.
