Rachel's Place should have stood in the series to keep Rachel in mind and imagine Rachel's Place was doing so well that Rachel opened up another restaurant where she spent the whole time. I believe they changed Rachel's Place to Marty Weenie and the spot disappeared before season 6.
Not really. If there was more to the scene than this one little minute here, it would be a better finale scene. But the way Rachel comes in and it just ends shortly after makes it all bittersweet for me to really see this being a series finale ending. The actual finale scene with the new Harriette and minus half of the original cast members had more depth than this.

It’s interesting the show called Family Matters, it ended up focusing on a character that wasn’t a Winslow. Then when he’s about to become an official member the show gets canceled.

I understand that Telma Hopkins left the show to star on the TV show "Getting By" with Cindy Williams. After Getting By ended, she should have come back to Family Matters until the show ended. I liked her character.
Well the issue is that both Telma and the original Harriet both hated that the show was so focused on Steve and also i heard they were refused more money so that's why they both left. Another reason Judy vanished her mother wanted more money and screen time. Ive watched Jaleel Whites interviews on the show. Boy went through so much hate even though he was so loved.

I think they should do some type of reunion episode with everyone being older now (of course). Then have them reveal that those years that Judy wasn't there, she was either at some boarding school, or living with Rachel (or even some other relative that was never mentioned).

Judy was written off the show. Cause, Jaime Foxworth’s parents were demanding more money. It was then shortly afterwards, that the show reestablished the fact that the Winslow’s only had the two older kids. The only way it would have worked is if they had no prior knowledge of her existence. Which was the starting point of why Jo Marie left.

There are just some heartfelt moments from comedy shows that I love to watch and this is one of them. I lived for this show in the 90s.

Family Matters - Rachel Reunited With Richie
I always considered this episode as the real series finally because it was the last time all the cast was together.
It would of been nice if they brought back Judy in this episode
Judy was written off the show. Cause, Jaime Foxworth’s parents were demanding more money. It was then shortly afterwards, that the show reestablished the fact that the Winslow’s only had the two older kids. The only way it would have worked is if they had no prior knowledge of her existence. Which was the starting point of why Jo Marie left.
@@josephclegg3562 That’s what I’m saying. Jo Marie (Harriette), was getting frustrated with the way the show was going. Considering, it was her character’s family, that was suppose to be the main focus. Producers writing Judy off. Was the first straw.
But, for some weird ass reason. They did the same thing in Step by Step….But, they acknowledge Brendan as still with the family.
Only Judy and Waldo were missing.
Myra wasn’t in this scene but she did appear earlier in the episode.

The 3rd actor to play Fletcher was in Season 7’s “Best Years Of Our Lives.” It’s presumed that the actor didn’t want to play the role again. So, instead of finding another one. They made him an off screen character.

To me this is the final episode because it’s the last time you had just about the whole cast together. Sad that after this episode JoMarie Payton left the show.
Great episode along with sad at the same time knowing that this would be the last time, we’d see the whole cast together… although my one complaint to the death is why the hell didn’t Waldo comeback?? He was the only one missing in the episode..
.. interesting note: it’s kinda messed up how everybody looks past 3j and completely ignores him. He looks around hoping to at least get a hug before the closing at the ending
