  • Established over centuries by the Grimaldi dynasty, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco is a place of legend. The residence’s mythical status was cemented by the illustrious union of a Prince and a Hollywood star when Rainier III married Grace Kelly. Whilst the image of the iconic couple continues to linger here, the dynasty’s future has been secured by their son, Prince Albert II.
Despite refusing numerous requests over the years, Prince Albert II has exceptionally agreed to let our cameras follow him. We accompany him for several months in his official duties and daily life. We also profile the work of the backstage team, who manage the Prince’s various projects.
This exclusive documentary provides a captivating portrait of one of the last monarchs at the head of a constitutional monarchy. It takes us to the heart of the Grimaldi family of Monaco.
0:00 🇲🇨 Monaco's National Day celebration and the presence of the royal family.
15:53 👑 A young South African becomes the princess of Monaco and takes on various roles and responsibilities.
28:51 🌍 The prince, a polyglot experienced in various customs, receives a gift from the Thai princess and prepares for a speech on sustainable development at a conference in Rio.
44:15 🎉 The gala event in Monaco was a success, with the royal couple dancing to rock music and a spectacular fireworks display.

Having a privilege to be a Monaco resident I watched this video with a big pleasure and have to admit that the movie is a really good example of documentary . Like his father he works terribly hard to take care of their principality.
You have to understand Aristotle Onasis, came up with the idea (plan) to marry Hollywood,to attract the wealthy, kind of to fund their little corner of the earth, which is why Grace Kelly, was the bride of Ranier (Marylin Monroe was considered)
I understand those who live their are not allowed to make use of the Casinos, where as to keep the wealthy and their monies in Monaco, and many elite celebrities vacation and dock their yachts, in this playground for the wealthy! Ranier and her serine highness worked hard to save this principality. He threatened to isolate the principality and cut off its supply of French francs, the principality's currency until the advent of the euro. In 1963, Rainier agreed to a treaty that decreed that the French citizens who live in Mo (currently there are some 12,000) have to pay income tax to Paris. A subtle approach to keep the Gramaldi family as rulers. With the tricky advice from Onasis.
Rather than Grace Kelly,I wonder if Jackie Onasis would have been a good suter. However, because of threats of the families, wealth then would not have been impressive for Mrs. Kennedy…! (???) (

Watching Princess Grace throwing the ball to Albert was really heartwarming! I remember hearing that she was very sporty!!! She was having fun with him!!! So sad, her passing, I remember it well! I need to brush up on my French. We had a show on PBS called, French In Action! We watched it as a soap opera!!! We all loved Mirielle!!! Before you know it, you're speaking French! I've always loved other languages. I'm learning Russian too!!! LOVE anything Russian, figure skating, gymnastics, etc.!! I remember reading from Katia Gordeeva's book, My Sergei that the children were made to sleep in cots outdoors in the snow and if they slept through, they got a chocolate!!!

She was happy. On her feet with arms raised and fists pumping the air repeatedly when our Flyhalf Handre Pollard took that long range penalty. She looked ecstatic. As were we all. We live and breathe rugby. Naturally we won the RWC2023 - went back to back! (Prince Albert was on our side before in the 2019 World Cup in Yokohama Japan. We won!). After the final both of them went into our teams changing room and lo and behold, she was as normal as me! She sang our "Rassie in your head" tribute to our beloved Rassie Erasmus with the team celebrating our victory. Albert was there too. And of course there was our mischievous Faf de Klerk in his famous SA flag onderbroek! It was fantastic to see her being her old happy self.
Oh and yes, I believe she's started rugby training centres for kids in Monaco! Absolutely fantastic. It's our legacy from Nelson Mandela, you see. Rugby is our religion and she's taken it to Monaco. Our girl's fine.

Que rico que nuestros líderes latinoamericanos especialmente en Colombia en estos momentos que a nuestros dirigentes les falta tanto valores aprendidos en el hogar y la falta de humanidad y respeto. I would love to experience what it's like to be so rich that you have no need for computers or internet. I have met people like that, they have such full lives, and people who 'look after' things that there is just no need. I remember being at a charity committee meeting and I mentioned that I have an old fashioned flip phone and these two wealthy guys pulled out theirs too. They have no need for more, and security factors in, but basically they just need to be able to call someone when they need to :)

I know what you mean. I still have no internet on my phone, only on my laptop. People are so obsessed with their smartphones, but it's more and more difficult to function without the Internet. More and more places, businesses and workplaces assume you have it, and require apps to book, pay, or to show barcodes, receipts, bookings etc It gets annoying. We wanted to get some lunch while in IKEA, but couldn't without booking via their app.

as someone who grew up on the Main Line in Philadelphia, it's heartwarming to hear his English just like home. We were all so proud of Grace Kelly, as an Irish Catholic she gave us inspiration. My boyfriends mother walked around like she was Princess Grace and had the Irish beauty to pull it off ..almost. .. One thing though the Red Cross ball, it had white crosses in red, it's a Red Cross the purple or blue color doesn't work well...

Venezuela is not rich as evidenced by the terrible poverty-- instead, it has a few a few filthy rich oil robbers who rule with iron fists like communist oligarchs that rule Russia and Red China as if they own the very population of those countries--which they do of course. 😅

Monaco’s power is not proportional to its negligible size and comes from some lucrative deals and profitable roles everybody knows about in Europe. I hope you get my point. NATIONS are proud to have a unique identity and role in this world. In fact, Multinational corporations and cartels can not be counted as NATIONS.
