you takes on celibacy reminded me of this romance book I love, 'Ellipsis: A Love Story' by Ellie Owen (which she's a very small indie author, it makes me love her work even more for how unique it is), where the author has a FWB situation with a character and every scene we have of them is either pre or after them being intimate, and then the author contrasts that relationship with the love interest where 97% of their scenes they share a deep emotional and intellectual connection. Hearing you talk about celibacy just reminded me of this book because there really is a difference between intimacy in terms of emotional connection, and intimacy in terms of physical connection, its a really important lesson to learn specially when so many of us mistake being desired with being loved

Hi Rowena! I have lurked on your videos for a while now. I wish you the best of luck as you get into this next chapter of your life. It's likely one that I won't be able to join you in (I'm childfree and so parenthood content does not resonate at all with me), but I have enjoyed our time together as we both navigated our 20s, even though they were quite different lives! One thing I hope you and Jams have considered is your children's digital footprints and if you will respect their privacy when they are too young to consent to being filmed online. It wasn't mentioned in the motherhood section of the Q&A, but I'm assuming it is something you two have discussed and have a plan for. :) Again, good luck and congratulations!

I find productivity content so boring 90% of the time it just feels so sterile
This made me so happy
The "exit your lazy girl era" posts really are out of control. And every creator seems to start with the B-roll of them getting out of the bed and stretching.
I have a 20 month old toddler, and before having him I was v much into productivity, routines, goals, etc etc. I used to wake up at 5:30am to go for a run before work, clean the house every week, meal prep, all that kind of stuff. It's been so hard letting all of that go as my everyday life now feels a lot less 'under control' and I need to learn how to prioritise, let things go, go with the flow and take care of myself in a different way 😅 it's been the hardest and best thing I've ever done. Looking forward to your take on motherhood when you're blessed with a babe
Can you do a video about how you achieved intimacy in different ways and how you keep your relationship healthy? There is so much in the media promoting unhealthy relationships, but building intimacy in other ways is so hard. You are one of the most genuine people I follow and go to for help. Celibacy in this country typically always accompanies other conservative and religiously tinged beliefs such as being pro-life, fear and disdain of birth control, etc. I am always so wary when creators talk about celibacy for this very reason. Also concerning is how so many conservatives have racist leanings and only have friends of their own race, which I see with many RUclipsrs which only have friends sharing their own background.
You reminded me of this little gem I came across when reading The Sum of Us a few years back:
White Christians are 30% more likely to hold racially resentful and otherwise racist views compared to religiously unaffiliated white people.
-per analysis by Robert P Jones, founder of The Public Religion Research Institute.
Ro had a very interesting and unique take on it. A non purity culture and religion based approach to celibacy is very refreshing.
Idk about your other subscribers but I only follow a select few RUclipsrs who provide a unique perspective on life that I can learn from and grow with slowly. I like to watch deep, meaningful content in long form that I can sit down with like a good book. I'm not a "Mr. Beast content watcher" if you know what I mean. Perhaps you don't have to worry so much about keeping up with that crowd (and all the other social media platforms that people are already getting tired of). You've always done more than "just productivity" to me and I bet most viewers would agree that it's not felt like meaningless content at all. Just do what you're passionate about and trust that the views will come from the truly authentic moments you share in the long run.

Welcome back 😊 Your topic of celibacy got me thinking. As an older person (compared to you hehe) we look back at the younger years as the time we ‘loved’ freely. As you grow older obviously your bodies change and sex drive does too. For example myself personally, I wish I had more sex when I was younger and able to. The old joke of get married to stop any sex isn’t that far from the truth. Although not all, long term married couples do have difficulty maintaining that level of passion they felt in the beginning years, no matter how much you love your partner. I was wondering if you had thought of this. And what your thoughts were on this.

Thank you for sharing and being vocal about celibacy :) It truly is a beautiful thing to be able to experience healthy relationships and intimacy in ways we've been led to believe are impossible without intercourse.
