Hello Jocelyn, Dan at Hamburg Antiques Center Hamburg,Pa. Inviting you and any local wattchers to our 7th year Anniversary sale this weekend, 20% off the entire shop. Have gotten in a large assortment of fenton, pyrex, mid century glassware, art glass, tons of new items and we are restocking every day.
Wow. Sad i do not live on the east coast. I love pyrex.
What's the date of the sale? I live in Shillington.
Was wonderful to see you yesterday in Hanover goodwill. You are a beautiful young lady and so sweet. Thank you for taking th3 time and being so kind.
Andrew looked totally thrilled, lol. Happy hunting!
As you were climbing the creaky stairs, talking about how good the antique store smelled, I could actually recapture the smell of my grandparents’ home in Hoffman, Minnesota. Thank you for the memories. Us kids slept upstairs after climbing the creaky stairs, and there was a unique smell. 🤗❤
Hoping your dad is feeling better.❤🙏🏻
I picked up a small clear dish signed Simon Pearce don’t think it’s worth much but I was excited that it was signed thanks to watching you I now check for signatures 😊
Wow, 2100 views in 3 hours - you go girl! What an eclectic assortment of buildings and treasures! We had Blue Mountain Pottery all over the place when I growing up. It wasn't expensive, it but was shown with pride. Not everyone could afford it, and I'm not sure how or why we had such a big collection.
Jocelyn, I hope your father is doing well. I wanted to mention that I miss Andrew's sense of humor from your older videos. He seems so serious now. Hugs.
What's the point of having merchandise out if you're not going to sell it? Then the vendor wouldn't give a price to sell it? That's weird.
12:47 the little girl on that sign at the top of the stairs is my cousin. I wish you had bought it, so i could've bought it❤
❤❤❤that's so cool
Wow really? How come she was chosen for the sign? There must be a story behind it. Cheers.
That blue seal does look like Blue Mountain Pottery in their cobalt blue glaze. If it's hollow, it probably just had a BMP sticker when it was first sold. Otherwise, it should have BMP Canada or three pine trees on the bottom. Also, the clay that BMP used was always red clay.
The Toledo piece was probably from Toledo Spain considering the style. Similar to Italian pottery style. 😉
Definitely. :)
Glad you got the seals Jocelyn, hope you got some ice cream. : ) Cute cottage stores, an ode to days gone by.
🍦👁👁
👅
What a fantastic shop! I believe they keep all the haunted items on the 2nd Floor.
Jocelyn, I can almost smell that 2nd floor of that old building. I loved it!!
Thanks for the shopping!
That’s what sellers get when they don’t price things, a missed sale!
In our SA store our carts roll away by themselves.
I just Love that your whole family is together and entwined in your business!! Great job Woman!
Great seals. Lol, Andrew and Laurel catching some zzzzz.
Lol Andrew sleeping at the end.😂
I love old shops like the last one you went into that sold the oil and vinegar. Timing sometimes is just what it is. Being in the moment is the important thing.
I LOVE the Seals you got!
I enjoyed your detailed description of the last shop you visited. I felt like I was there. Such a difference from the brightly lit top 40 blaring thrift shops. 🤩
Well said, Nancy. : ) From Nance, a Nor Cali Gal.
And the creaking of the old steps....felt like I was walking on them too!
I have been to Chittenango a few times. My husbands granfather lived there and we went to visit him and then unfortunately went back again for his funeral several years later.
It is a really cool little town with a great history and tie to the Wizard of Oz creator.
Thank you for bringing back some of those memories for me ❤
Our thrift stores in Fresno honestly has nothing compared to you stores. You must go out of town a lot. It's a fun and relaxing hobby though 😊
It’s always fun when you visit new places as you describe each place and we get to visit too. I really felt for you when those glass Myra no pieces were not priced at the last store and you couldn’t buy the owl. It was amazing though that you found a perfect floral frog 😊
Great video, love the thrifting in different places. 😊
Next year when you come to Madison-Bouckville please venture west to the Finger Lakes. You will not be disappointed!
Love the man interacting with the other man when you were looking at the seals. His positivity and offer of a high five was wonderful to hear.
It was actually the employee interacting with a special needs shopper who had come in. The employee was so positive and upbeat. It was awesome. The same employee found me a reusable shopping bag, wrapped all my items in paper, and even secured them with rubber bands. He went above and beyond.
Omgoodness that Andrew!!! Lol did you take his pulse? My husband's long lost child. 😊
Andrew zzzz 😊 interesting videos at new shops 😊
For some reason "that little weasel" made me spew my banana coffee lol
I liked the little weasel but he'd certainly be up to no good as most weasels are lol
That is one thing SA does well 2 colors one 50% off and Saturday that color turns into 75%, and the second color is 30%.
Awww, you didn’t buy the alligator?!🐊
01:30 SOOOOOOOOON ... you vill komm to zer Dark Side! Undt ve schall CELEBRATE viz many pieces of Pfaltzgraff to ge-sell!! 😂 😂 😂
01:56 Well, central Spain _is_ a bit of a hike from Chittenango.
03:03 The punched design may be nice, but BOY the silver plating is shot.
03:55 Damn! That's a Vietnam era US Air Force "Wild Weasel" mug! The Wild Weasels were a fighter aircraft group formed to combat Soviet surface-to-air missiles in Vietnam. The group used modified F-100F and F-105F fighters to rocket-attack Soviet surface-to-air missile sites maintained by the North Vietnamese. The rocket-launcher technology was purchased mostly off-the-shelf from ATI Technologies, hence the "ATI" logo. Wild Weasel units are still in existence, though now they fly General Dynamics F-16CJs and Lockheed Martin F-35s.
04:24 Well, naturally not. I hope yer dad's recovery is progressing uneventfully.
08:03 Oh, _interesting!_ If I read it properly, the bottle said "Hanford's Flavoring Extracts." George Hanford went into business in Syracuse in 1874, selling flavourings first, then adding baking powder a few years after. Later they added two patent medicines, Celery Cure for nervous complaints and Balsam of Myrrh liniment for burns and wounds. Hanford Pharmaceuticals is still in business, and Balsam of Myrrh is now their chief product. If this bottle is only talking about flavourings, it must be early in the business's history.
08:18 They're _hubcaps,_ really and truly hubcaps meant to cover the axle hubs on an Essex car. (What we call "hubcaps" today are more properly called "wheel covers.") It's an incomplete set, since there are only three, but still ... The Essex began production in 1918 and sold themselves to Hudson in 1922, which continued to make them until 1933. I'm fairly confident these are before about 1928.
12:45 The "no parking" sign looks like a promotional piece handed out by Butter Krust bread; I recognise the little girl mascot.
12:58 Look at that gorgeous Coca-Cola chest cooler!
13:18 Sometime around 1890 to maybe 1915. My great-grandfather had that kind of cabinets in his general store; they were sold along with the fixtures when he left the business.
13:35 *_VERY_* nice! It's a complete service front which might have stood in a small-community general store that also served as the community post office. I love how you can see through the glass front into the sorting cubbies.
14:27 That's right, pet the nice little bear.
14:52 Whistle is a brand of orange soda water marketed by Vess. It's still sold at some places in the Midwest.
15:10 awwwww ... when you pulled him down, I thought he was gonna be purple neodymium or manganese glass!
Love the old building and the Post office case. Enjoy watching all of your videos .
My Salvation Army store is really bad. Hardly any hard goods at all.
Ours is fully stocked and clean. The manager used to run consignment shop so things in the SA are nicely merchandised. Prices are still good. Our Goodwill is a waste of time. I am guessing they sell online so not much stuff. Prices are high for whatis in the store.
One set of Great Grandparents of mine had-an old apple smell. My brother said it was chewing tobacco.
If you are ever in Columbus, Ohio you gotta go to the South High Antique Mall! It’s in an old house/mansion so it has tons of different floors with some amazing antiques… and most of the prices are reasonable even on the furniture
The place is huge so it takes awhile to go through it
They probably like the Murano for display to draw you in.
Slim pickings for this trip 😢. The santa at he's work bench was so cute, LOVED the seals & that otter they where so cute. That last store though i would be broke the furniture stuff upstairs where so cute, then the hand made coasters i loved. ❤❤
How on earth did they get that post office box cabinet up those stairs? I bet that place is haunted.
I thought the same thing when I was up on the second floor. It was spoooky. ☺️
So happy to see you shopping somewhere other than goodwill.
People donated trash at my local Salvation Army store. 😏☹️
Blue Mountain Pottery was a local business here until about 2004. My aunt worked there, and bought many of their pieces, some of which i will never part with. If you see a piece of BMP be sure to grab it!
I bought a glass seal from that collection .
The bench was a Black Forest (bear) bench worth thousands… rare
Sorry my last text auto changed when I typed in Murano! Probably spelt wrong 😅
The old shop upstairs there was a blue sleigh!!!! Oh I wish I was close!!
You should have left your phone number!! They may have called you later!
I was under the impression that a lot of people had asked about them and they weren’t in a hurry to price them. 🤷🏼♀️
I kinda miss seeing you out detecting. Hopefully you guys are still getting a few swings in
Those baskets at the trading post store!! They are fantastic!!!
I donated truckloads of items to the SA in Chittenango after my mother died. The staff there was so nice.
Seals were awesome. Nice pick up
08:33 Marc Chagall litho prints can do well - depending
How's your DAD???
😂 the hub caps were “not in your wheelhouse” 😂 I got the pun there!! Don’t know if it was intentional though 😂😂
Their home smelled of old apples.
Your Mom must have been your influence for thrifting!? ❤
No. My mom doesn’t like old stuff. 😂
oooooooooooooooooooooo the cobblestone place was amazing.
That last place was really cool.
It was really cool! I plan to take my mom back next year. She will love it.
Hate wonky carts! 😂
Love your videos
Did you at least get your ice cream?
those caps with Detroit motors were probably radiator caps
Cute little store Joselyn hi to the children love to all 🌿🐦🌴🌿🐦🌴🌖
Toe lay doe Spain
My mother in law grew up there also
I love seeing these little shops you went to.
They are gas caps
Chittenango! I was born near there!
My Aunt Linda lived there after moving out of my grandparent's house when she was a young lady. She lived there until her death a few years ago. The last time I was in Chittenango was for her and my uncle's 25th anniversary party in the basement of their Baptist church. I wonder if The Wild was open... Laurel would have loved it!
here's to grabbing a good cart. crossing my fingers for you.
Follow the yellow brick road through Chittenango NY, the home town of L. Frank Baum author of the The Lost Princess of Oz better known as the Wizard of Oz!
Awesome video! Oh what spooky upstairs in antique shop of gator!!!!
Sorry that you don't get clear glass owl but hopefully you can get it next year!👋😉❤️👍👌🤟
I have been watching you for a few years but I lived in Colorado so I couldn’t shop where you shop. I’m so excited to live in NY now - I can’t wait to shop in the places you talk about!
How is your father doing?
The Toledo piece made my heart smile!! My hometown 🫶🏼😊
Toledo is my hometown, as well. I currently live in Europe and the piece from Toledo is from Toledo, Spain (our sister city).
Hello from deep south Texas ❤❤😊😊😊
I live in Fulton ny- about 40 mins from chittenago. Been to the cobblestone antiques- very cute place!😊
You rock!
Wow. This was a lot like a day in the life of me thrifting..... and I'm in a small town in British Columbia, Canada. Too bad!
I really loved seeing the alligator and all the old advertisements! Upstairs was like a museum. Thanks so much for sharing and I'm glad the Baby was able to rest with Daddy ❤
YES! phaltzgraff gets me every time too! and sometimes i pick it up for myself 🤦🏻♀️there are actually some real nice designs too bad don’t have a good resale😒😒
Wow that was beautiful

I was just at yello brick thrift, I saw the horsehair vase with the chip on it!. I bought mini shell cocktail stirrirs.
That small angel sell for 22-25 dollars.
Have you ever been to Penny Lane in Canandaigua? That place is amazing!
❤❤❤❤❤❤

😊
Andrew is my spirit animal at the end. Put me in a car and I’m out for some reason. 😴😴😴
I go to Salvation Army on chittenango as well.
Portmerion (2) juice glasses 4:21…
I grew up in and around Chitnango!
Sal's olace here never has anything!! New management and items shrunk, always just about bare.
It would be interesting to see what Andrew found 1st if he went in 1st alone then you went in alone
❤❤❤
Carts like that need to be pulled rather than pushed.
