Though the slipcover functions like a Jumanji board which is cool.
A lot of Neil's work displays the perfect way to create humor around 90's pop culture--ways that are entertaining, innovative and funny, while also paying tribute to the thing being referenced. It's refreshing to that instead of the usual, "hey, remember that thing?" with that being the extent of the whole joke.

Before Jumanji was a movie it was a picture book for little kids. I remember reading it. Playing the game with some young kids would be an awesome time to get them to explore their imaginations. You know, this movie gave me an idea for a Universal Studios ride based off this movie, it's called "The Jumanji Experiance in 4D", imagine Toy Story Mania, but in board game form, you and 3 friends (or other visitors if there's less of you) get into a moving jeep with a table and four chairs around the table inside the jeep, and you basically play a board game of jumanji where you hit the center of the board to roll the dice (or the ride will do it automatically if you take too long) and every turn something crazy happens during the ride, like a lion popping out or an elephant stampede or an earthquake or a rainstorm or whatever happens, and it all happens in 4D, so there's always something shaking or moving or popping out at you at any moment, and it doesn't stop until someone reaches the end of the board, do you think that would be a good idea?
i was asked what i wanted to be when i left school i said "i want to be the female version of Neil Cicierega when i grow up!!!" my teacher was stunned into silence by my brilliant life choice :D

(almost) it didnt have the memorable characters though or Robin Williams. Instead, it was a new line of characters. Despite being a Box Office piece of diarrhea dump, it is known by Critics as the greatest movie.
