do you know if the older style of the current air force ranks & name tapes are going to be phased out & deemed obsolete in the future ? ?

Agreed. Neither the ABUs nor the Army ACUs were effective. The OCPs are a much better camo pattern.

Rank is still gonna be a problem. Why no more arm rank patches?
We are not sure why the Air Force decided to go with 2x2 Velcro rank over the chevrons. Out of curiosity, what problems do you foresee?

Marines have the easiest noticeable officer ranks. Shiny collars vs a black collar
