I lived closed to this mall at one point in time. I remember when it opened in the fall of 1982. I moved out of the Chicago area in 1991. But I remember the Madigan's store, which was my very favorite! Also Carson's and Sears, and all the smaller stores. I used to buy clothing for my kids at the Children's Store. It used to be such fun to shop at Chicago Ridge Mall. I also remember that this mall originally was the site of a drive-in movie theater. I think it was called The Starlight Drive In. I have since moved to Arizona in 2010 but the Chicago area will forever be my hometown. Thanks for posting this!
That's the first time I've heard of an Aldi's in a mall.
Great tour! I appreciate your videos quite a bit. I think the Aldi must be helping this mall with foot traffic.
This mall has always been crazy busy for as long as I've lived (born in 1975). I'm glad to see it's still doing good business.

Looking forward to seeing your visit to Ford City. Haven't been there in a long time but everything I hear about it is not good.
Yeah I'll eventually get to Ford City. I procrastinate on it because I don't like driving in the city of Chicago
